I always used the Natascha since it got the 50% ammo increase. The spin-up increase is barely noticable, and the damage doesn't matter when people get slowed by the bullets, leading to them taking more damage.

It now gives the heavy a 20% damage resistance while the gun is spun up, on top of the slowing effect it has, because fuck scouts and pyros.
The drawbacks are a -25% damage penalty and a 30% slower spinup time, but I honestly don't notice either.
If you have a pocket medic you are damn near invincible, you just gotta look out for spies and snipers.

Beggar's is one of the worst designed weapons in the game. The nerf was a pretty good one, but I think it could do with a reload speed nerf too.

Health regen is such a huge boon, I'm still amazed they gave it to soldier. The only other two classes with it are Medic and Sniper, neither of which are straight combat classes. Ontop of that, Soldier gets the Black Box to let him regen even more health in battle. Granted, the Gunmettle update nerf stopped BB+conch being so popular, but it's still unfun to fight against.

Just use it if you want to get good with it, it's the only way you'll learn the projectile speed. I run DH more often than stock, DH feels more natural to me at this point, and it's great fun bouncing people into the air for insta-kill airshots

I use the Cow Mangler more than any other RL.
Blasing a charge shot in the middle of a group push and watching them scurry like ants feels great and disabling buildings for my demobro makes me feel accomplished.
