That last part is what I find strengthens it though. The game forces you to realize that no matter what you do, your actions have consequences, that SOMEONE will know what you've done and that you've fucked up. Your fuckup is permanent, basically. Hell, the whole deal with the lizard girl who's name I cannot remember was her learning to be brave and own up to what she did. Everything that happens in the game points to the player needing to accept that one's actions have consequences.

Actually you're wrongish. Sans will recognize depending on how you played the game and comment on your self-defense, saying that you did nothing wrong. However he will also add that you have the power to save, and if you discovered that you could save someone who'd you would otherwise kill in self defense, that you should probably do the right thing. Although I wouldn't say the game treats you nicely. More that it forces you to accept responsibility for your actions. That enemies and characters actually react to your actions and get upset when their friends die like any normal person would.

i thoroughly enjoyed it. admittedly the ruins was the most boring part of the game, and i wasn't really expecting to like it as much as i did the first time i played through it, but, damn. it really picks up once you get out of there.

First time I did that fight I didn't realize "spare" "spare" "spare" was a way to do it, so I was attacking her because I thought that I had to in order to progress the game, but halfway through her health bar I realized that if I let the little meter go all the way across without clicking it a second time it advanced her dialogue. So I kept clicking attack but then not attacking over and over.
Then I accidentally doubletapped Z and it surprisecrit killed her.
I was shocked and stunned. It was an accident. I didn't mean to kill her.

But I avoided every thread because I hated the Demo because I felt it was super cheesy initially.
Eventually I said fuck it and played it through, adored it, and never discussed it after.
Just jigged to the tunes in my spare times.

The creator of the game, known as Toby Fox, first became famous for creating some Halloween Earthbound hack, and making soundtracks for Homestuck. He actually cameos into the game in the form of an annoying dog that constantly appears in the game as a form of comedic relief.

Well, turns out one of the backers was the fat fucking furry known as Samael, who just had too much money to spend. Given that Undertale caught his attention while it was still on the Kickstarter phase, he spent one thousand dollars just to get his fat fursona as a boss in the game under the name of a shitty dad joke known as "So Sorry". This caused tremendous rage across a rather huge part of the fanbase, given that his fat fetish faggotry just does not fits the game.
Whenever he's brought up as fetish material, furries who actually defend this piece of shit try to counter-argue by saying that Toriel also gets a lot of fetish art. What the furfags fail to understand is that Toriel was made as a simple design without fetishes in mind, while Samael's furry avatar was made for nothing but parading fetish purposes, and works as nothing more than a shameless self insert into the game. Furries also try to argue that since the character is named "So Sorry" instead of "Samael" or any of his aliases is a way to avoid getting his fetish art when doing Google searches.
