I've used it before and it works pretty well.
Only issues I've had with it are routers having WPS turned off and getting locked out of APs after a certain number of incorrect PIN attempts.
I found out my neighbor's wifi password by luck. They were on vacation and gave me the keys to their house so that I could water their plants. Their password was on a sticky note on the fridge.
