When "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," came out it scared the shit out of me because the shit in King Kong is what I imagined being a super tiny human would be like. When that King Kong came out I was like "SHHHEEEIIIIITTT!" during that scene. I was super into insects int he 80s as a kid.

Humans would probably adapt but most ground-dwelling animals would be at serious risk.
Sea life and some bird species would be okay.
Fungi would have a hell of a time.

>find a young bird hopping around on my porch a few days ago
>obviously injured; having trouble flying
>look up and see the nest he must have fallen out of
>go to get some gloves and a basket to put him in, so I can either put him back in the nest or take care of him and hope he gets better
>as I put him in the basket, notice that there are maggots falling out of him
>inspect more carefully and notice a giant worm/larvae thing bursting through the bird's chest
>maggot crawling out one of his eyes
>mfw
>there's maggots all over the basket at this point
>more are coming through crevices throughout his body
>mercy kill the poor thing with a hammer and light the body on fire (only logical solution)

I did some research afterwards, and apparently flies and other insects like to lay their eggs on young wild birds and other small animals. When the eggs hatch, they burrow into the creature and eat it from the inside out until it's dead, then bury themselves into the ground. Nature is some scary shit.

I grew up in the country and more specifically near a large woods. I explore it all the time when I was a kid. I came across a bloated dead deer. Find a stick a poke it's stomach. The stick easily presses through it's skin and what appears to be an endless wave of maggots pour out. I didn't back in the woods for the rest of the year.
>>
>>71773685
nah, you spray at night when they stay in the nest and the poison kills any stragglers when they return. There have been no sign of hornets in the last few days since. I'm not worried.
