WHO ARE YOUUU!? Edition
Please state the nature of your medical emergency.

Why do we need 2 Trek generals?
>>71711181
It's been up for over 5 hours and then you create one without a question in the comment, just a reference to mediocre TNG episode.
>>71721448
Computer, deactivate the EMH.

That one has no subject. Hard to find

>>That one has no subject. Hard to find
You don't even need to ctrl+f to find the word "Trek" the search option right at the top of the catalogue.
You are a dim bulb and should delete the thread before both threads die.
>>71721608
Are you a Pakled? Having the word "Trek" somewhere in the OP is all that's needed.

WHO'S YOUR USER?

>>71722875
I know, I love that it's just meme pictures because thats what Star Trek's all about
>>71722891
such an impracticable weapon. whenvever i see someone try to use one, i laff
Do you think any Starfleet officers work from their quarters? You could log into any LCARS terminal from any location (the technical manual says you could pilot the ship from a PADD).
>>71722778
Sark, tell me about the MCP.
>>71722891
>>71722891
KAPLAH!! If that's true! I'm very jealous. Where do you get those?

Darmo and Jalad at Tanagra.
>>71723013
why not just work from earth? a lot of disasters could have been avoided if the ships were controlled via subspace
>>71723013
>>71723140
if Federation ships ran on remote control, then the Romulans would figure out how to hijack the signal within a week.
>>71723140
Why not just engineer androids to pilot starships?
Fast reflexes, mentally superior in terms of computation and processing time.
>>71723092
Kahn and Terrell at Mutara
Seti Eel, the hunger unyielding.
>>71723140
>>71723140
Because the Federation has enemies and those drones can be hijacked. What would make more sense is create a ship with nothing but holograms with mobile emitters like the Doctor wore on Voyager. An entire armada of ships can be used by holograms.
>>71723092
What the fuck do the hundreds of people on a starship actually do? Like you've got a couple guys on the bridge, a couple guys in engineering, a couple guys in sickbay, and that's 90% of what we see happening on the ship.
Like Voyager has ~150 people, while the Enterprise D has ~1000. Yes it's a much bigger ship, but what do those extra 800 people need to do because it's bigger?
>>71723167
>>71723277
The crew were hijacked more often than the ship was
>>71723423
Well there's no TV in the future, so idk
>>71723423
They were doing science stuff. Federation ships are like floating laboratories.
>>71723446
Seriously. The moment there's even the slightest irregularity, the ship goes into immediate lockdown, requiring the sole human officer aboard to clear the alert.
...on second thought, let's throw a few people on there and make them deliver multiple PADDs around the ship to keep them in shape.
>>71723423
The Enterprise D was a "generational" ship that carried families and had schools and entire decks for research and other sundry Starfleet activities.
Picard even brings it up multiple times throughout the series on how there shouldn't be children on the ship.
>>71723610
But there were only like 10 kids.
>>71723708
Oh that's right, only 10 kids.
Guys, let's keep this a meme friendly thread by not linking the tech manual or memory-alpha. nothing complicated, just a lot of images; keep it child friendly.

Galaxy class starships can carry up to 800 people. There are many different departments in those ships either related to command, administration, maintenance, medical, and research and development departments.
They have Stellar Cartography which is the mapping out of new areas
Xenobiology which broke down to the study of aliens, alien wildlife, botany, and microbial life.
Geology department. They had cybernetics departments, cargo bays, and a whooole lot of maintenance crews. Ship security was a lot as well. There were also civilians volunteering like school teachers, bartenders, and medical staff. These were done around the clock 24 hours a day.
>>71723806
>Galaxy class starships can carry up to 800 people.
We are told multiple time the Enterprise has 1000 people on it.
>>71723074
i got it from ebay :)
it's the roddenberry model
It did nothing wrong.
>it's a "bashir courts an attractive woman, helps her solve her most debilitating life issue, and then she leaves" episode

That twinkly genocider ate worlds along with people on it. It even collaborated with Lore, Evil Data.
>>71723932
Threatening the safety of a Starfleet vessel is wrong and it got what was coming to it.
Pulse shit get shit.
>>71723932
It had a language as evidence by the episode "Crystalline Entity" and the previously established dialogue it maintained with Lore.
Yet, Picard, in all his confounded moral dictation proclaimeth before us that "IT'S JUST FEEDING, COUNSELOR!"
So who was really in the wrong?
Lore?
Or Jean-Luc Picard?
>this is the part where someone makes a strawpoll that only like three people participate in because it's a stupid idea for a strawpoll
also, pic related was the true "did nothing wrong" of this conversation
