Danny Elfman's orchestration and style has far more variety and color than anything by Zimmer. I like many of his pieces, but BvS' soundtrack felt overbearing in many parts. Some were good for sure, but much of it was so imposing that its so full of itself and tramples over the actual movie.

Purely on the level of music Elfman is far above Zimmer in talent. There aren't even many other film composers I would rate better besides the obligatory Williams or perhaps Shore.
