Bran should take advantage of the fact that the planet is cyclical (just like time!) by traveling north. Think about it. Just keep going noeth until you loop around the globe and wind up at winterfell. If he only travela north then that means he is still north of the wall even though he would be at winterfell. That means he isn't south of the wall amd doesn't break the magic keeping white walkers out!
