I can't find them on youtube, but there are two that piss me off particularly that I hear all the time - a group of children laughing, and the noise of wind.
They both have their own very distinct and easy to remember rhythms, it makes them stick out like a sore thumb. How hard is it to record new wind and laughter? I'm pretty sure the laughing children are most likely dead by now, the sound effect is so old.

well, the thing is: The sound itself, along with a great many other Doom sounds (like the rocket launcher, the doors etc.) is a stock sound from a sound effect library.
So while a lot of people might first have heard it in Doom, that's not where the sound originated. It's just a rather popular sound effect that many a sound designer has used over the last decades.
