I see. I guess I'll give a bit of info on what it's like over there, seeing as how there doesn't seem to be too much crossover at the moment.
The moderation varies wildly. Sometimes shows will have several threads up at once, and sometimes none will be allowed. This applies to everything on a hiatus, not just SU. The old theory about it being one mod in particular is probably correct, seeing as how several threads could be up for hours and then suddenly be deleted. Sometimes one thread will be allowed, but out of multiple threads it will almost always be the thread with the worst potential. For example, a "Let's discuss this character" thread will be deleted in favor of a "This show is fucking trash" thread. It's also worth noting that this only applies to currently airing cartoons, nothing else /co/-related has these non-communicated rules.
Shitposter-kun's as bad as ever, if not worse. He shows up in every thread eventually and posts incessantly. About a week ago he replied to himself for hours on end in one thread. It's unclear if he's ban evading or not, but his posts rarely get deleted in threads where moderation is clearly occurring. It's also unclear if he's a continuation of the legendary paid shitposters, or just an advanced autist.

What's going to happen is that there's going to be a rush of people back to /co/, and simultaneous threads will run on both boards (/trash/&/co/). If things stay as they are then the /co/ threads will carry on till the next hiatus. If the shitposting is worse than usual (besides the initial rush) or the mods go nuts then the /co/ threads might die down. If the mods lighten up then most people may migrate over there.
Without a clear consensus of opinion, people are just going to follow a distribution.
