I could see them separating the shuttle part of Sky Lynx, cramming robot bits of one of the deluxe jets into it (so it has a bot mode) and then adding bot mode bits to the Lynx half and keep it a voyagerish size. Its a rough idea, could use some refining.

I recently got MP Starsaber. I have no connection to the character or to Masterforce or to Brave style robots in general, but he looked like a fun toy. I was absolutely over the moon in love with him right up until I got to the part where I started messing with the Z-Star... That thing is such an ugly, fiddly hunk of plastic in vehicle mode. In robot mode it's so unintuitive how it connects with Saber, the arms- while decently articulated- are too floppy to really be able to pose at all, and the big hands l, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I can't get him to hold his sword except in very specific, goofy looking positions, otherwise it just flips right out of the hands or the fingers open and drop it. Overall I think he's still a pretty cool toy, but I would've vastly preferred just get Saber and the little brain master guy.

Is it normal for CW Motormaster to have really slippery hip ratchets going forward and backward? The outward ratchets on mine but the forward/back ones are shit on mine.
I even took the whole damn thing apart in attempt to thicken the tabs on the ratchet teeth, but it was a complete pain in the ass. I don't even know if I actually fixed anything when I reassembled everything and tighten the screws on the crotch- I think I may have made te ratchets a tad tighter, but it might just be me trying to convince myself that I didn't just waste at least an hour to fuck with all the parts.

Played with him a bit when I got home from work and yeah I was misremembering about the arms, they've definitely got some chunky ratchets. The hands are still shit and the arms are so big and ungainly they're not really fun to pose (especially when you're also dealing with trying to get them in a position where the sword will stay in place). As I said, he's still a fun toy all around, but a few annoying things take some of the piss out of it.

MPP10 is fucking amazing. Straight up eats hasbro's lunch. It looks like an uspcaled MP-10 but it's not the exact same mold, it's better. Same basic design as MP-10 but with improved sculpting details, engineering, paint, and materials. From a casual standpoint I'd say the main difference is that the official releases greebling looks more intricate and has more depth while the 3rd party's greeble is mostly hard angles and circles. That said, the 3rd party one looks cooler overall. Just wish 3rd party stuff took more from soul of Chogokin/MP aesthetics and went for a more animated look. As is I think a lot of them try to emulate Gundam model kits.
