All this time I thought they never actually made the other figures listed on the Titan Warriors tag that came with them, surprised to actually see the Shockwave pop up on Amazon.

Looks more Prime than G1, maybe that's why they covered the name up with stickers on the original Titan figures.

I really like the fact that he's Brown, actually. We don't get many figures in this type of colour, and quite frankly I do like the figure for what it is. The design may not be for everybody but it's still a fun figure and I'm actually pretty impressed about how much range the arms have despite not having a proprer wrist swivel. The legs aren't bad, but they're not fun to pose, that's for sure. Also, this guy has a waist swivel, if it can help you choose.
>>
>>5580906
I still don't know why they got that lazy with him.
Couldn't they just give it a chest made from the front of the car like they did with Knockout?

>>5580903
Every movie Barricade is going to have a squashed, fat torso because it is like that by design. Pointless to look for the most human-like Barricade imo.
I picked DOTM though because it's the most normal figure; no gimmicks gimping its arms or making it even fatter than it normally is.
MechKech weapon is a waste as always and it can't hold it for shit. Legs are a little floppy on mine, but I don't think it's fixable.

>>
>>5581071
Y-yeah.
Look, the legs are bad, but it's not something that destroys the figure. It's really up to you whether you can stand shitty arms and stronger legs, or prefer a more standard figure with somewhat shitty legs.

Decided to nab the Cosmos/Swerve and Hexatron. Gonna wait 'til May to nab an MP-10 probably. Dark Souls 3 comes out April so I needed to include that into muh budget for entertainment shit.

Is it bad I'm almost as excited about the $10 Legends as I am about the $100+ 3P guy? Loved my little G1 Cosmos figure as a kid.

>>
>>5581464
That's the same vibe I'm getting. Like the plastic looks thin as fuck.
>>
>>5581464
Sorry not mine. Getting kinda worried again now..
>>
>>5581495
It's just concerning to me seeing all the visible hollow areas. The back collar piece, the cracks between leg panels revealing a hollow center. It was okay with MP-28 Hot Rod because it was only one or two pieces forming the hollow shell of the lower leg, and the plastic could be as thin as it was because of his size and weight. Shockwave has a heavy torso clearly, and those legs are clearly hollow and made up of multiple panels on pin joints (which snap easily if too tight especially on thin plastic). Looking in his elbows that plastic is clearly thin, the waist bits can be seen as thin. I just see a ton of pin joints on him that are attached to thin plastic which isn't a good sign. The only joints that look safe are the shoulders, and those mid-thigh joints whatever they may do. His legs just scare the fuck out of me. They don't look durable enough to hold his weight, nor a fall from any height.
>>
>>5581151
I'm not impressed with this Cuck Rod retool but it's a nice homage to the micromaster.
>>
>>5581426

>>

>>
>>5581636

Recolor of Blackjack, yeah, but he's still pretty poseable. He's not a very good Hotrod though, given he's missing the trademark spoiler and arm pipes.
>>
>>5581654

>>
>>5581663
It's a retool. He said it right.
>>
>>5581299
I was excited for him in the promo pics, but all the in-hand shit looks pretty weak. He looks even paler and cheaper. And is he unpainted? Lame. A little bit of buyer's remorse and I haven't even gotten him in yet.

This is the opposite of Roddy and Ironhide, who most people agree looked like crap in the official pictures, but really shine in-hand.

It's sad, actually. I remember it was super hard to find Swerve early on. I intentionally passed on the Gears repaint several times because I didn't want to "settle" for it instead of Swerve.

Now Swerve is still literally everywhere (this was on my pegs at walmart like a year ago) and since I decided I really want the Gears deco, he's like twenty bucks.

Actually, I think the sadder thing is that the Ratrap in my pic is still hanging at my Walmart.

Just got Shockwave in also.

His transformation is inspired - i'd almost call it sublime. His gun muzzle hinge is die cast, as are his feet, so he does have some heft. He feels chunky in hand and his ratchets are thick.

However the flat purple plastic makes him look cheap as fuck, and does not contrast well against his gloss purple hand/gun. His head sculpt has a giant-ass light pipe, which works against the figure in my opinion. They should have put a LED in there. In fact his head sculpt seems off. Too thick and clunky.

I'm very torn on him, and am close to buying Quakewave again.

Sealed Takara ones still show up from time to time on mandarake, but they're 8000-10,000jpy a shot, so I figure, fuck it, here's a really nice looking deco of a mold I'd pay basicaly that much for anyway to go after the originals, I don't particularly have any attachment to the origional Drift character (or the GDO interpretation of Blurr), and since Deadlock comes with both Blurr's rifle combo AND Drift's big cybertron greatsword, it's basically the best of both molds in one.

The car service was only meant to be $100, didn't expect that many problems, well the tires I knew but not the rest.

DID save $200 though, I somehow begged amiami to cancel the collectors edition of dead or alive despite the payment request.

Also this monday was a public holiday so its not all totally spent, STILL need to hold back this week.

But it's gotten me thinking of selling my hasbro bruticus so I can have the takara one, tell me despite what opinions you may have, when is a good time to sell it, now or after cw is gone?

And would it matter if I kept the swindle and takeoff?

It's articulated like a Warrior-class figure though you could argue that most of the joints are transformation joints

Lucky. I love the idea of vehicles turning into beasts, but there's basically just those two and Alternators Ravage. Hopefully RiD segways into a new series with more animal transformers.

More like hopefully Hasbro does the fucking Predacons, Seacons, Monsterbots, etc. Transformers has tons of robo-animals in it's history, but we haven't seen any of them, which is bullshit because a lot of them are ALSO combiners, which meant they should've had CW releases.

Hasbro seems to be wary of making full-blown Warrior-class beast-vehicle Transformers. Beyond Legion sizes, they have gimmick toys at most. Even Crazybolt is a gimmick toy. We're just lucky that it has a really tight transformation, thus requiring all those joints to fit.

You can see that Hasbro's been slowly testing the waters with RID decepticons. First we had Beastial-looking robots with some beast-to-vehicle cons mixed in. Coming this year, we'll have a pure beast-to-robot con just like the old times.

Perhaps if RID goes far enough we'll have a something like a 2nd coming of beast wars.

Yes - the hands have that dumb 'punching' gimmick that never really worked/sucked. Head articulation is limited due to how it gets secured in place for transformation. But overall it's a great fig that I doubt I'll ever get rid of. The police car mode is very accurate, has a cool feature where frenzy is integrated into the mold, and an overall heavy-weight that makes it feel like a solid toy. I recommend grabbing him (probably the premium one if you're going for full accuracy).

Yeah, show Prowl how to properly do compromise. That means you gotta whip the weak listless mass and break a few eggs to 'motivate' people every once in a while.

Its so weird to me how that forced meme sprouted up and just when people started caring. I remember when Classics 1 first came out people were so excited and happy. People accepted most of the figures as great updates of the originals. Megatron was a bit iffy with some but overall not many minded the different changes like alt-modes or some different robot designs; that was just something to be expected of new toys of tF characters.

Then suddenly, no idea what triggered it, people started demanding things look EXACTLY like G1. Not updated vehicles or robots, but just articulated G1 designs; with very little room for artistic liberty or creativity. Maybe it was Universe Cyclonous and Hound; who where very close to the G1 designs; or the remolding of MP Starscream and shift in the G1 line to animation accuracy? At any rate, it seems like no one wants things like, say, classics Mirage, anymore.

Apparently I was thinking of Animated Blackout. But that's what I mean, like, his head is clearly insectoid in appearance but a more "realistic" or standard TF interpretation of that head could work.

I'm not saying they need 40 spikes in every direction but Barricade having a face with some mandibles like some kind of TF Predator would be cool
