We hit bump limit.
Which Titanwars figure are you excited about most?
Really curious about the deluxe of this fellow.
What would he turn into? I don't think they would release a trailer thing as a standalone deluxe.
>playing transformers devastation
>all these fucking weapons im unlocking that are literally right from the toys
>animated Bulkheads wrecking ball
Please tell me they have animated megatrons dual swords.
Also bumblebee sucks dick. Holy fuck hes so weak, even when equipped with good weapons. Optimus, and Wheeljack are my go to guys.
I agree that dialogue can be rather...cheesy, but it's still better than Energon, so there's that, plus we get lines like this.
>"Hmmm, maybe if we all do it at the same time we can break through?"
I think my favorite characters from Cybertron are Red Alert and Jetfire, Crosswise was quite good too, even if he had one of the cheesiest transformation lines ever.
>"Yes normally I spread joy and good cheer wherever I go, but in your case, I think a buttkicking is more in order."
So today since I'm on holiday I decided to sift through my "box of shame" aka my toy box of g1 figures from when I was an evil destructive child, what a mess.
But I decided to post a few older toys that made me think, I forgot his name but one interesting note, DESPITE how simple the transformation is-
All they do is hide the shins when folding the legs so he can roll flat...they didn't even need to have those flaps, I'm quite amazed since only mp's and some larger figures get folding covers now
I'll admit, I'm incredibly irritated by him not being a targetmaster (bit of the 'tism you see) but I'm quite tempted to get him for looking really cool, and accurate to the original, same with Doublecross.
Then we got ones I do know, machine wars mirage (his name reminded me why I bought it lol) and skywarp, I also have a hoist but wasn't a fan of him (wanted it as an excuse to want something, that's how bad a brat I was).
Anyway I love the fact these have an automorph that can be ignored (since they just fold) AND still have articulation, mind you the legs are floppy which is a shame.
...I kept thinking sky-stalker but I can't remember for sure, but I do see a hard head retool for the TR deluxe here.
Would rather him with his white rocket thing over the cannon though (which was in there but forgot to grab it)
Now these 2 I don't remember their names, but I know the pink guy was a color changer (pretty sure his pump water gun was wrecked, didn't see it) and its form would work for a gobot crasher retool, not that I want that.
The guy on the right was a fav back in the day, was he a cyberjet?
I'm aware his tail fin is missing, now for a more important question, right is g2, was left g1 or g2?
The cannon on Hardhead is removable and has a little compartment for TMs. It's also a color that isn't used elsewhere on Hardhead so it's on a separate sprue from everything else, which means a Stalker retool could simply be swapping out the shoulder cannon accessory and giving him a new headmaster.
Now for some action master action!
First thought was "Loud Pedal, is that you?" but the blue ruins that illusion.
Not many of these guys are intact, some had legs missing and the balljoints are made of diecast so they're floppy as fuck, and some ballpegs have snapped forever ruining them (shame too, I had a nearly cartoon accurate g1 bumblebee with that issue)
Not bad, they could update these and just carry over the marvel legends repaint and redeco system, and of course add elbows
Well that'd be amazing if they do try that
Now this guy isn't a transformer, its a knock off I got from some school event for christmas (had the best alarm clock in years, 10 years on, still waking me up in time for work).
But I remember faintly seeing the real version somewhere, can anyone identify him?
The real point of interest is the little drill dude who sits in the front end of the tank (which is detachable) and isl aunched out, looks a bit like the nightbeat droll titan master vehicle if you quint, maybe the design is based from that, I know the colors aren't being a knock off
I would literally maim to put some folding panels on AV-50.
>But I remember faintly seeing the real version somewhere, can anyone identify him?
Now this g2 toy was fun for me as a kid but a firehazard in my parent's eyes.
Was there any more of these sparking cars or whatever they were called, he held up pretty well despite being stuffed into a toy box made out of clear plastic
Nah, Highbrow's legs compress Aerialbot style. Triggerhappy's legs only fold the knees all the way. Highbrow doesn't even have the folding parts on the sides of Trig's torso where his arms are connected.
Sorry if this came up and was answered before, but any chance of a TR Star Saber?
Now for some g2 minibots.
They held up "ok" for all they endured with just some scratching and chrome wear.
Shame the chrome is only a single color, beachcomber has metallic injected plastic for his green chest, but otherwise standard colors on them including seaspray (some gold chrome would of been amazing).
Also, guess what, bumblebee and cliffjumper's RUBBER TIRES are still holding, makes me wonder how optibotimus's mp-10's tires rotted away yet these sitting in a toybox under a skylight in the coldest place in the house survived...wait maybe the cold part was the reason?
>inb4 that one retard who thinks Brainstorm should be the basis.
Now for some...gobots?
Well I don't care, what I do is they match hotwheels scale, roll just as well, and transform with basic articulation, nifty little guys, especially the neon nascar (soundwave I think?)
To this day I continually hate myself for not picking up the RiD versions of these guys when woolies used to be full of them for pretty cheap.
But that was my 'i'm in highschool now so the only cool things are video games and nu-metal and hiphop' phase
Now this lot right here made me think really hard, more micro masters but this time g1 blackjack and...dunno who the other guy is but I believe he's the basis of the g2 blackjack redeco in the cw g2 menasor set.
Nifty little guys for what they are, anyway that's it, hope you enjoyed this trip down nostalgia road, I know I did
Seriously, their hands and feet are god tier
Now all I need is that second set they're releasing for Bruticus, to give him better back cannons and that new head
You an ausbro too?
I was a whiny brat when my folks got me these, but even now when new transformers anything turns up even in supermarkets I tend to lunge at it, pic related, I could NOT pass this up (passed on the bumblebee though).
I do admit I had a phase like yourself, went nuts with gundam models, I had much regret passing up a deluxe classics ramjet when I had the old g1 toy AND the fact I much a fan of him as I was of starscream (which I had the matching classics mold), only now am I able to get that ramjet, just waiting on him in the mail, funny enough quitting gundam models and only finishing up what's left just so I can divert more funds into my old hobby, these guys
Oh they were, but they reminded me of how far we've come, near action figure articulation, better more stylized molds, even representations of g1 characters in stylized near chogokin forms.
As much as I love the classics, the new stuff just keeps coming, I await titan returns eagerly
Here's the Scourge vid from the same channel:
They are indeed brothers.
But what was so wrong about retooling anyway?
>Considering they're released the superior PM Optimus Prime, I disagree
There are exceptions, but its still just a retool, not a whole new toy, just a retool, heck even UW computron is nothing but a mass of retools (while they're objectively better than hasbro's especially scattershot they're still retools).
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind retools, or redeco's since I collect seekers, but they still cost cut as much as hasbro, the fact they're using an existing base mold gives them more budget to allow for these retools and paint is how, still the same overall toy and because they used legends magnus as the base of course he was gonna be an awesome toy.
No, december, but he's coming.
Not the guy you're talking too, but if you want to get bitchy they're still the same toy just with a new head/panel or 2, as said above I'm fine, but I'm aware its still the same toy at the end of the day, and they've been doing it for years such as the g1 seekers and the g1 minibots like bumblebee and cliffjumper
I think his alt mode looks enough like an APC or tank to just call it that. It's got a cab/cockpit, so it still looks like it's its own thing, and not just the back half of something else.
I wasn't trying to be bitchy, it was just cool to discover that Highbrow and Scourge were related, and I wanted to let other people know as well.
I love the retool stuff. It's very interesting to see how HasTak toys that are intended to become two (or more) very different-looking things. I have never really understood why some people look down on it, or think less of a toy just because it shares engineering with another one.
Sorry I did come out wrrong, but some people just get annoyed with the same toy with just modified sections.
Its kinda like wearing a different hat and jacket and saying you're a whole new person, for me I'm fine with this, but its a valid point to pick on.
If not for appropriate media (about the seekers being the same body just new colors and a few different parts etc) none of this would of held.
If anything if we can't get more new toys we NEED more heavily modified toys like your pic, mine, and especially scourge and blurr
>if we can't get more new toys we NEED more heavily modified toys
I think that's exactly why HasTak has been doing it a lot these days. They no longer have the resources to make a lot of one-use molds, so they design toys with alternate uses in mind. The necessity in Combiner Wars for each standard toy to have four modes gave them the push to really experiment with extensive retooling, and now they've made it so that most of the Deluxes will probably be able to stand apart from their retools (except Brainstorm I guess?).
Hasbrotoyshop has a $10 off for orders of $50 or more, plus free shipping deal right now.
Which means you can get a full set of Bruticus (minus Shockwave) for $66 shipped... I guess I'll pay three times that to get the UW version ahahahahaha not.
Universe Skydive, a redo of the Energon one.
It's okay to complain about shit you think is wrong. I personally am fine with parts reuse, but if someone doesn't like it I'm not gonna force it.
>Sadly the rest of the energon aerialbots are junk.
Tell me about it. Silverbolt is literal garbage, which in turn makes Superion pure ass. The other jet guy is OK, but his weapons are shit and he doesn't hold together as well as the thunderbolts.
Unfortunately Superion is the only Energon combiner I have. What are the other Energon combiners like?
>is he a retool of blurr/brainstorm?
Yes. There is a pretty persuasive case imo that this is actually the shape for the yet to be release Nautica who is also a Blurr/Brainstorm retooling.
They showed this at Botcon. I suppose it could be a proper toy of Flywheels with an inaccurate head though.
This teaser is a bitch to work out, its certainly showing us someone, but which of the two?
Both can work wonders as a teaser for the next line after titan returns, vehicles combining into one vehicle, I'm better on overlord based on the flight half of the duo but knowing hasbro I could be wrong.
But if this becomes the next play pattern, does it mean we take 2 deluxe vehicles and make one voyager sized robot?
I own MW Skywarp too. Such a fun little guy with a memorable deco.
Avoiding badly-written comics isn't being a snob, it's called having good taste.
>you demanded a Transformers program aimed at the older demographic.
I didn't because I knew it wind up just as retarded as CW is looking. If a wanted a cartoon for loser manchildren I'd just watch some anime.
>tfw you finally get your hands on a G1 Overlord in good shape and it's not nearly as nice as you thought it'd be
So how does a brick fail, did the chrome flake off, is it lighter than expected, does it FREAKING MOVE TOO MUCH!?
Man, I still have my Soundwave (the lime green one). The hood broke off but can still be attached in his alt-mode, the window is scratched, and there's still some silly putty stuck behind his head, but I still love him. I think he may be my very first Transformer besides BW Scorponok.
>that moment when you pick up a toy and suddenly the memories come flooding back
I'd love some female connectors to stick my male combiner port into.
>Preorders for CW Computron now up on Kapowtoys
>It's more expensive than the UW version
What the actual hell? Is this some kind of mistake?
They're trying to save you from hasbro while giving you the option to be an idiot
Remold Wars was a failure should we expect more for Turds Return.
>where did you get it from?
I got it for like 150$ an auction site in my country that's kind of like ebay.
>Possible chance it was a KO?
I sure hope not, it looked exactly like every picture I checked. It's probably just me setting the expectations too high.
Why didn't you just buy the UW? Hasbro lightspeed and nosecone look horrid.
When's UW Computron coming out, on that note? I heard August but does that mean the beginning or end of August?
Tiny groove wasn't for scale autism, it was because they had no intention of doing other deluxe motorcycle characters. Computron was not planned at the time that Rook was created. We got tiny Groove as a sort of mea culpa that real Groove was gone.
Hindsight is amusing huh Satan?
Honestly I think it's better it turned out this way.
Rook is awesome.
This is why I use hlj or premium collectables.
If its not mixed in with my fuck huge orders of impulse purchases its free...I kinda wish I went PC but I was still on the fence at the time
Premium collectables does when you spend over $100aud.
*as I am a local resident I'm unsure how it works for people abroad though I assume a shipping discount is in place
Also before you try pc don't have computron for pre-order anymore, they only get limited allocations, hence their prices, that said our dollar here is shit so might be worth noting
A Predators update would be so amazing.
A remold or custom of Sentinel into Skyquake (or a proper Machine Wars Starscream) actually seems like it could work. That's an idea I'll have to try out eventually.
Thanks. I'll try asking them later. It just never ocurred to me that anyone would offer free shipping.
I might try it for Bruticus. I don't want to spend that much on it since I'll be replacing UW Blast Off, and killing half its resell value with it, anyways.
He's long gone from pc, so was the reissue mp skywarp they just had, to give you an idea of how limited their allocations are...
Less than an 10mins.
Some stay open longer (walgreens brainstorm for example) while others fly (mp seekers), keep them in mind for the future sure, but unless you want UW skyreign you won't get the 2 mentioned previously, last I checked they had g2 fruiticus for $120aud...
I'm not 100% sure this was the one I originally saw, but it's pretty good.
that's sexy and in theme, shame only one jet got to keep his top bit
Oh, I'm sorry, PC is what we Australians abbreviate premium collectables with.
I am aware hlj *can* give out promo codes but last I checked they were just incentives for when they are at events.
I never heard promo code abbreviated that way before though so I do apologize
(btw where is that werewolf girl from, shits adorable!)
Do you autists seriously not get that your thread doesn't have to be on page 1? Bump limit doesn't mean you can't post in the thread. If you at least hit the image limit it'd be ok, but you don't. You all are literally more autistic than /biog/, let that sink in for a minute. The fucking bionicle people follow the rules better than all of you faggots.
Surprised we didn't get a Soundwave combiner with his minions as his limbs.
Soundwave combiner mind?
Ehh, I'd rather not have to buy another Menasor-style brace kit if that happened. Then again, I don't see a body he could've been otherwise unless you want ANOTHER Silverbolt remold for a jet Soundwave. Or...Actually. Shit, they could've used the Onslaught/Hotspot mold and given him a bigass radar dish and sensor array on top. Fuck that would've been cool!
Is that a Skyquake and the Predators combiner? That's neat.
Speaking of combiners, whilst I'm sticking to my guns over combiners that have good Turd offerings (case in point I'm going Maketoys for Defensor) I'm still tempted by some of the crazier combiners like Grand Galvatron, and as such I'm considering giving HasTak a second chance. The problem is I really, REALLY hate the stock feet (they work OK as hands though) and whilst I gave the Nonnef feet a go I have a feeling they were at least partially responsible for the cracked ports on my Defensor (though that doesn't explain Groove who cracked even though I only ever used him as an arm with the standard HFG). Are there any reports of the Perfect Effect feet causing problems?
Also damn I never noticed how good Arcee's light piping is. This shit practically glows if any light hits it.
I own 4 pairs of the PE hands/feet, never had any problems yet other than the heli molds peg holes stressing, which stressed even from the normal HFG's because that particular mold's peg holes are just WAY too thin.
OK, thanks. I might pick some up if I can find non-KO ones for a sensible price. I wonder what I should do with my port-cracking Nonnef feet? Throw them away? Use them for a custom/40K project?
IIRC it's called Skyquake Maximus. It's made by the same TF Club who did the FireConvoy Combiner Wars set and the FOC Metalhawk. They displayed it at Botcon iirc though the Optimus Primal set imo stole the show.
Sand the the pegs a bit until they don't break ports.
And I got my PE shit around $30 a pop. Expensive yeah, but this was also spread out over months, I didn't just up and blow $120 on hands and feet one day.
The idiots running FP thought because they mishandled MW that nobody wanted anything relating to Turbomasters/Predators. Ben Yee showed off the plans they had to remold TFP deluxes into the original Turbomasters (Thunderclash=TFP Magnus, Flash =TFP Hotshot/Bee, Hurricane=TFP Smokescreen, Scorch=TFP Kup and Boss=TFP Wheeljack)
I'd probably just use some regular ol' sandpaper and work on the pegs until they fit properly.
And ouch. Seems that unless you live in Japan or the US, you get completely boned on pricing (and in the US you still get the shaft on shit from Japan anyway).
I'm surprised KO makers wouldn't try a fake tramp stamp.
I have never understood that as well for the longest time as well. I guess cause they try to be different from the legit ones.
Go check it out then post a picture.
Evac from the Transfomers Ride. I guess that's the scout class. I personally got the Deluxe from the time I went to Universal and bought one.
If Combiner Wars and Titan Wars are the first two chapters of the "Prime Wars" trilogy just what will the next line be? Can't get much bigger than city bots, and there's no other good gimmick to exploit.
>Can't get much bigger than city bots, and there's no other good gimmick to exploit.
we go the opposite way.
>MFW could've picked up a boxed version of the Sonic Bomber redo from Might Gaine for dead cheap
>hate myself to this day.
At this point they'd probably just label them Titanmasters. Lets face it, it's an easier gimmick to do and can make transformations easier to design, VS trying to design every 'bot around fitting a smaller bot somewhere inside of them fully.
Aww man, that sucks, I'm sorry about that.
Seriously though, imagine the possibilities. You'd have Legions and Commanders (AKA standard Legends) as per normal, and for the "main" price points you'd have vehicles, playsets and the like.
>Deluxe class = "Scout vehicle" with Legion figure. So a small drill tank, gun platform etc.
>Voyager class = "Mega vehicle"/"Outpost" with Commander figure or two Legions. Bigger vehicles with some "transforming" element to them, whilst outposts would be small building playsets, like a "prison cell" or whatever.
>Leader class = "Ultra Vehicle"/"Fortress". Comes with two Commanders or four Legions. Ultra Vehicles are huge rolling bastions, landships and carriers or whatever with loads of gimmicks and some transforming element. Fortresses are big playsets like, well, fortresses, power plants etc.
All this would gel particularly well with 2017's Titan release- Trypticon, who could be cross-compatible with the playsets and vehicles.
It's not much to go off on but the way the comics are building up pretender tech and intending to use it for revolution, we might eventually see the Pretenders.
The only real problem that has though is that it's hard to design a transforming robot that fits in a shell. It seems like Hastak would try to achieve the concept like how they handled the Beast Hunters line (organic armor bits) or even Ultra Magnus/Ambus.
In truth I'd like to see the Breastforce gimmick again. Small robots become the stylistic armor or weapon of the larger bot. Something like RiD's doing right now with the Mini-con battle packs, but better.
>Go check it out then post a picture.
Finding the stamp on a partsformer wasn't easy, but I think I'm in the clear.
Bots with perfect aesthetic that balances realism and cartoonish deviation with the occasional giant melee weapon?
I'd be way up for that.
I forgot how massive this guy is, he's a literal Giga nigga.
I hope he'll scale well with TR Optimus.
I have no comments to add. I just like taking photos of Skullmuncher.
Can you do this pose, or does the mouth not open that far?
Thats good, we need more photos of TF's. Been trying to improve my own ones, but the results are dubious at best. I think it's just the camera and the lighting at this point, I probably need better both.
I know it would be unattainable without a whole new torso mold, but I wish Vicky looked more like this.
Yeah went to dig out my PotA Luca to take a picture, but I don't think skull could pull off the pose at all. Mouth definitely doesn't open that far. Although you could shave a little plastic off the top part of the croc head to get a bigger bite.
Yeah, it is still pretty dumpy. I did this in like 10 minutes in GIMP so it's not exactly good, but I feel even something as simple as giving her the proper hip/shoulder ratio makes her look better.
Yeah, a combiner with those proportions would be neat as hell (though ironically the Evas have ludicrously broad shoulders). I have no idea how you'd engineer a combiner with that sort of shape though, at least without it being a Frenzy-Rumble tier "non-transforming action figure with locking points for Transformers" mess.
How does Vicky look if you rotate her thighs like this Bruticus?
I think just rounder parts in general would have helped her silhouette.
>Flywheels could be a later repaint tho
would be neat to have an actual Flywheels update(even if it's just a repaint/retool), been using ROTF Thrust as a CHUG Flywheels in the meantime, since he's pretty much the only other Decepticon who I could think of who matches both the color and alt-mode and doesn't already have a good CHUG update(since I really like this mold, I wanted to find someone suitable for him to be a stand-in for)
bet you the collectors club would have done this if they lasted long enough
supposedly it's going to be something Planet related
personally I think once they're done with the current trilogy that CW and TR are part of, they should make another big push for the Cyberverse scale
I like this, could also stick in a couple of Deluxe and Voyager scale figures(maybe even a Leader or Titan) to represent particularly large Transformers, like say a Voyager Omega Supreme, or Voyager Tidal Wave
I should really pick up a Viper one of these days. Looks like he'd go great with Onslaught/Bruticus.
I can confirm.
I have Defensor, and attempting to rotate the thighs will only end up being blocked by the ladder structure. Besides, I kinda prefer Defensor/Victorion with thicker thighs for bigger bulk.
Bruticus is unique with the crotchplate being movable and adjustable.
>I hope he'll scale well with TR Optimus.
It won't scale well. TR Optimus s even smaller than the origina G1 PMOPl, which got dwarfed by G1 Overlord. The scaling would be like MP Star Saber with CHUG Deathsaurus, which is ridiculous.
