He's far more interesting from a visual standpoint, especially compared to his cremesicle counterpart Grapple (which is why we got him before Jazz and Hound; repainting him as Grapple would sell better than Stepper or Hound's Ehobby decepticon counterpart)

It makes little sense to pack them with the deluxes. Pretty much all the deluxes already have two seats for the small guys by default - a cockpit in vehicle mode and a seat on the weapon. There's no need for ANOTHER place to sit when you only get one head per toy.

Sooo I just got uw bruticus yesterday, does anyone know of a good way to keep blast off's head from popping off and how to keep his legs to peg together?

Nope, but most pop offs are caused by rotating the combiner peg up, because of that bizzare ridge on the back of it. If you swing the head out first, you can mostly prevent it. Best idea is probably a touch of PVA glue in the peg slots that it plugs into, or a bit of superglue in there, or future floor, or whatever your preferred joint tightening technique.

The problem is that the swingarms on the feet are too fat, so instead of sitting at a 90 degree angle in either position, they're like constantly 5 degrees off, so it creates a lip that pushes back when you peg the legs together. Shaving a little off the plastic on the swing arm makes it sit flush and eliminates the problem.

Rad name, but the name is Skullcruncher g1/skullsmasher TR. pretty sure none of the artist gave afuck about the differences between crocs and alligators. In the episode Prime was disassembled and the Cons used some of his parts to make a turret and the "gator prime", he was reassembled at the end of the episode with no issues.

I have no nostalgic connection tot he G1 cartoon, I just think the official one looks better. It feels more in line with SoC or other lines I like than 3P stuff. I think one of the reasons, besides budget cuts, more people are jumping ship to 3Ps are because they've stayed very much in line with the older TF style from 2001-2010 or so, while official TFs are more and more veering into taking after Japanese lines.

Basically Warden made his name working on GI Joe by bringing things back to the original 80's stuff ARAH stuff, and disregarding most of what came out in the 90's and 2000s. As a result, the Joe franchise regained a lot of popularity and quality.
So when Warden came onto the TF Franchise, he pretty much took the same approach, and wrote off the stuff between G1 and Classics as the same as the GI Joe stuff of the same era. To make things worse, at the 2013 toy fair he also mentioned when casually interviewed that he wanted to do a redo of the 1984 line for the Thrilling 30(instead of the cross-generation approach), and joked about Beast wars as the "Dark Ages". To make matters worse, this was right after everyone was sore over the old design team being shaken up; partly resigning, moved, or being laid off.

He's lead designer, so a pretty good deal. While he doesn't design every toy personally or anything,but he calls a lot of the shots and steers the line direction, mainly for things that aren't show/movie tie-ins.

They're pretty much the same size, but Uranus has better limb bots, Superion has an amazing torsobot, Uranus doesn't even look like the character unless you buy another chest-head add ons, I'd say get uw Superion if you want a representation of the characters or get Uranus if you want an OC combiner that just happens to also be made of planes.

I think Razorbeast could be eligible for an update, possibly an extensive Gen Rattrap retool, since he had a whole arc dedicated to him but who else? Most basics are perfect as is, and guys like Polar Claw would risk getting smaller like just happened with Tidal Wave.

Now I hear how the first wave of Titan Returns have various issues with loose parts. Do they not test them to see if they are being made with the proper mold tolerances.

TFC is trash so Piranacon and Lio Kaiser aren't going to be good. Feral Rex and its components are way too big.
The only ones I have is Intimidator, because the official Motormaster is pretty bad and I love Motormaster having an entire trailer, even if the whole damn set is needlessly complicated, as well as War Lord. It's got some stability issues but he's the perfect size and the limbs are pretty cool. They fit in right at home with CW, if you're mixing combiners. I don't have Dinoking but I eventually will, along with Monstructor. The rest of the third party ones are overly complicated and I don't like that. If Takara doesn't do a scaled down Devastator to fit with the others, I'll have to grab Green Giant.
