That's the entire draw to me. That they went and tried their best to replicate a upscaled minifigure with existing parts.
If it were just a giant minifigure, i wouldn't care. The novelty is all gone.
>>
>>5345498
Can't Giantman become whatever size he wants within reason? Scale shouldn't be a problem.
>>
>>5345514
I guess. I just was just thinking it would make look better if he was towering over it. Rather than smaller or the same height.

I can't imagine, on BL prices are like stocks I guess, they'll only rise if people continuely buy them and if it had a high IPO, but since no one has been pretty interested and the set he came in was cheap to begin with, probably not. I also wasnt actively looking for Lobot, more so I was actually looking for a Biggs Darklighter, and this guy happened to have Wedge Antilles, itsa really rare for me to find a dealer that has all the figures I am looking for at the moment.

That was the last episode, so you haven't missed anything in the meantime! This week's game is the third installment of Cleft 18:

>>5348467

Woah Lad... I wished I had waited for your reply, I just send a really long and stupid e-mail to lego.

>>5348479
Jeah it's way better then pick a brick. You can type a set number and buy almost every piece from it(except for most licensed mini-fig parts and some rare printed parts/stickers).

I do prefer it over Bricklink, just because they have so many pieces and the shipping is dirt cheap(so you save money on not making multiple orders at different stores).

Darth Revan on the right, Sith Warrior on the Left
>>
>>5348523
I'm glad I learned this before I started doing my first ever moc, have one planned to start around January.

How do the prices compare to brick link anyway? Do they also sell rare pieces like stuff that only ever appeared in one set and one color?
>>
>>5348526
its pretty limited IMO compared to BL and more expensive, but you can get lucky and find really cool pieces, my friend got the Boba Fett from the UCS slave 1

>>
>>5348261

qt af
>>
>>5348526

They are usually pretty cheap, I think the small and common parts are cheaper on bricklink though. But the rare parts are cheaper or around the same price on the lego store. That's why I only use it for special pieces(rare colours or new molds that are allmost in no other set), most of the common bricks and pieces I have my self allready.

Ohjeah and the thing with bricklink is, that rarely one store has all the parts that I need for a moc. And then there is also the small chance that I have to use a store from another country. So you really have to calculate the shipping cost with it.

So a big order from lego, is usually way cheaper then 5 small orders from bricklink(and less of a pain in the ass).

Hope it helps a bit and good luck with your moc(make sure to post it)

its just weapons, and theres no minifig like someone said, but the backside is clear, so you can actually see what you get

>>5348278
they're pretty legit imo. basically, if you go to their site, each bag has one "minifig" worth of accessories, their cowboy would come with like, a hat a pistol bandanna and some dynamite, like pictured. Then comes with a few alt pieces, say a rifle or two for the cowboy, or a second pistol for example. i think the gangster comes with a boring bag of money, that hat, and like 4 guns
the real only good thing is, alot of their bags here and wave two, choose some of their weirder figs, like legion here >>5348766, or a torso with two head slots

the biggest complaint though, is their color choice is completely random. you might get a purple legon, or a red one, and there might be no black ones in the box for example. that and some of the weapons look kinda shit in solid black, they REALLY need to mold some things in grey.
their gold is pretty legit though, i bought one or two of the greek dudes just for his hat.
i think they were only 4$ at my tru(the 5$ guy might be right though), so depending on what figure you get, the parts might not be worth it.
i bought one, where an anvil was the extra piece. cant be held, so its just a lump of plastic

tl;dr, they're actually better than you would expect, if you can get the right color you want

Ok, so after seeing the movie (honest, no spoilers here) I've been mulling over Kylo Ren's shuttle wings and how to fix the sliding tips.

This piece is, I think, my best idea. There would be a pair of these, grooves facing each other, and the wings built around them. This gives us a slide with a turn at the top, for the tips to move sideways (toward the outside of the wing) a brick-depth.

Problem is, only time this was available in black was one set in 1986 (6386-1 - Police Command Base)
>>
>>5349026
Anon the set is fine the only thing that needs to be changed is the colour and the wing angle.

>>
>>5349051
I have a feeling ALL the toy companies fucked shit up, but I believe it was becaus they were all either only given the most BASIC details, or they were given shit that was still in the concept art and design phase. Our Sphero BB-8, for instance, sounds NOTHING like he did in the movie. Theres maybe two or three of the actual sound files in him, and the rest are very generic sounding "droid" sounds. For a $150+ "toy" that is supposed to introduce this "new round RC tech" to us, thats bad form.

I really don't like how high Lego is hiking their prices, especially since even when I was a kid and everything was less expensive I was lucky to get a 25 euro kit for Christmas or Birthday, back when Star Wars figures were still yellow.

Made a midi/micro scale SSD in LDD. I like how it turned out, although there are those who did the outer hull better, I think. I did this only by looking at illustrations and not the UCS set, where there are others who have just made a much smaller version of how the UCS engineered the hull.

>>

which one has cooler features or inside rooms?
>>
>>5349439
If you don't mind the inaccuracies to the movie i'd definitely go with Kylo's shuttle.
>>
>>5349442
It's tempting.

>>5349449
People seem quite fond of it. The main draw for Kylo's shuttle is the crazy price I could get it for and the fact that it'll probably be super rare when it's retired.

>>5349450
The wing features on Kylo's shuttle are excellent. The problem is that I'd want to do a whole bunch of the mods discussed earlier in this thread to make it more accurate. And that'd cost me a lot of money. So the benefit of getting the set so cheap is negated by the cost of modifications.
>>
>>5349450
They don't really have any thing interesting. Tydirium's interior maybe larger but Kylo's is more detailed.

>>5349455
I didn't mind them at all until this thread and the previous one pointed them all out and now I can't get over them.
