I have returned gentlemen. sorry for my absence all, including the faithful ones like buzzclaw. still kinda grown out of actually setting up displays for the time being but i'm still collecting and will try to post some of the new ones soon. for now, some older ones. will try to do requests too

What is your favorite era of farm equipment to model? Do you prefer the look of older tractors etc. from the 1980s and earlier to the modern machines of today?

favorites r probably 60's to 80's, about the time when diesel started to become the main fuel source but i like the very old steam ones as well. as for models, spec cast will be very detailed but also expensive. Ertl is who makes the vast majority of models and they r quite good at them too

I care. I've still got a huge box of farming toys at my grandads house, I was obsessed with tractors while growing up. That obsession later turned into one of tanks and mecha, but tractors still hold a fond spot in my heart and your threads give me a nice warm feeling in my heart. Keep on harvesting, Farmer 4chan

new tractor came in at work today. gonna be getting the toy model of it soon as well

One of the die-cast forums I frequent had a "heaviest car" thread a couple of months ago. This didn't really count being a large trailer, but I weighed it anyway because it's so much heavier than pretty much any 3" die-cast. It's the most agriculture-related piece I have a picture of.

As a toddler in the end of the 1970's I had the Fisher Price Little People Farm. Man, that thing was AWESOME. Coolest feature was a mechanical "moo" sound played when you open the stable's doors.
