As the escort follows the dropship. Over radar debriefings are played over the pilots huds. A overlay of a what looks to be a theme park in the middle of a hamlet, but with the lack of any rides. The robotic female voice of Editi plays over the small subtitles as parts of the overlay are ran past and focused on.
Editi: "Welcome pilots. It seems like you vacation of light duties is over for now. Another mission that command doesn't want to send troops to is your destination. Now this may not be a perfect aerial scan of the village, but I will use what scans we have as best we can. This is Shirley Village, Shirley Village before suitfall was a quaint hamlet with no real use outside of what crops it made.
Now it is one of the few cities with all it's inhabitants still alive, sane, and human. Scout stumbled onto the village and it has been looked into ever since. There are confirmed reports of TA, but they act so erratic that they don't seem to kill the villagers there. Only those that acts aggressive, tries to interact with the humans there, or don't follow their "laws" to the letter."
The map splits and zooms onto two areas. One being a odd castle that looks to be almost the size of the village itself, and the other of a small cave on the other side of the village.
"These two areas are the only marks of interest. The cave being a site of large amount of radio interference, comms jamming, and everything having to do with communications there. Even a suit scout reported headaches being nearby.
The other area is of the castle. We have reason to believe it is holding very few humans, to the point of it being something you are allowed to overlook it; but as you know, command only wants you to evac most of the civilians there. A liberation can be set for when there isn't innocents on location."

Editi's head herself pops onto your hud. "Well that's all the info we have and you'll most likely need. Command is giving you freedom to make sense of this odd situation. Just do what you do best, evac the civs, and come back in one piece. Good luck everyone."
At that her head just looks around. "Not much for optimizing your huds huh? To each their own."
There will also be a “take 10” system in effect for this mission. On non-stressful situations(if you can find them), you can automatically be 30 away from target, and roll a d20 to modify it closer to ‘target’. Taking 10 will make it easier to succeed in most cases(easy rolls will be pretty much impossible to fail even), but you cannot use it for dodging, attacking, while being attacked, or if the action would end up putting you through danger.
Basic actions (moving, communicating, observation) will all be success only, so basic actions will happen successfully almost always. There will be three major categories for non-basic actions, DEXY, COMBAT, and TECH. You can only perform ONE TYPE OF ADVANCED ACTION per turn. Rolling DEXY for dodge is NOT an 'advanced action' cost or use unless it is stated otherwise.
Basic actions include just moving around not caring about stealth, releasing out drones for activation, activating camouflage(not the stealth roll), using suit abilities such as bullrush or celerity, and reloading(Hah, who does that anymore...)
DEXY refers to actions such as melee or dodge rolls, and other checks towards maneuverability, agility, and so on. DEXY uses a 'closest to 1' roll on a D100.
COMBAT refers to the act of shooting ranged attacks (NOT melee attacks), plain and simple. COMBAT uses a 'closest to 100' roll on a D100.
TECH refers to anything else really, mostly it's using or fixing your suit's systems. Tech uses a 'closest to 50' roll on a D100.

With Czar the only pilot without flight, the dropship was traded out for a smaller, camo model so as to stay behind and provide a means to evac any saved civs. Editi gives a last 360 degree look around before sighing and nodding. "Alright people you should be approaching the fog barrier. This part of England has been covered in an almost constant layer of fog. The town is one of the few areas with a pocket. So keep on your toes." A slight rumble as the pilots and ship break the fog barrier grants them a small sight. Besides the castle in the distance, the village looks normal. Almost nothing looks out of place besides the covered market place..... Oh. That's just a large table with a checkered cloth. The pilots are left in the air looking at the surroundings as the dropship lands in a field of flowers at the south end of the village. As it touches down and opens it's doors Czar sees a small field of flowers around him. And one buttercup flower that sucks itself underground. Editi's head starts to become static though as it fades in and out. "You ar-*BRTTZ* in *BRTT* village now. *SURT* are weak. Mission is *SERT* Good luck!"
And with that Editi fades out entirely.

As cazr moves into the village he moves to the west side to avoid anything that would stop him. That is until he is about halfway to the cave and he sees a woman urging him to her from a ally between two houses.
The other two though reach the cave and feel a light migraine each as they look in. Looking in they see an odd sight. A small group of humans have made hobo camps around a TA suit sitting Indian style on a concrete slab. It looks odd. With it being a mesh covered in purple muscles with what looks like an old style orthodontists braces covering its head. Even staring at it from a distance your heads hurt a bit. It looks up and smiles. "Welcome. I may be blind but I see you all the same. You each get one question. Ask well. For everybody gets one and only one.

As the Helicarrier begins to approach it begins to receive lock on warnings when it reaches the side of the village as it approaches the castle. It stops half way to avoid a dumb-fire missile as it explodes in red plasma. Leaving behind burning letters that say: "NO FLYING IN CITY LIMITS!" Another missile bursts next to it saying: "NO ONE CAN BE TALLER THEN THE QUEEN!"

As you approach your migraine intensifies. You almost get halfway before your head starts to pulse as a full on migraine comes on as thinking starts to become hard. He leans back as he listens to you. "Oh I am no guru. I merely see and hear things no one else does. When you ask your question he takes off the headgear and your head feels like it's about to pop. "When the sky rained down steel and lives changed forever, not all metal that fell was the same. Some was perfect steel, some broken, and some became warped to the point that they might not be steel any longer. Your thoughts? Something that is not disturbed does not respond. He puts back on his headgear and your head resumes just to hurt as normal.

Some even agree and ask you leave him alone. that is of course before they go back into their homes or behind his slabs.

As you stay still nothing comes up to meet you. The target lock stays, but you notice you are still at city limits. Neither stepping over or moving away.

As she talks you notice she is in rags as looks as she hasn't showered in days. with old and fresh fruit dangling off of her as if she was pelted with them. "Listen. I'll tell you everything I know if you can take me to somewhere that is at least more bearable then this nonsense!"
You hear a robotic voice in the distance. "Who let the crazy woman free? The queen demands that all crazies must be made an example of! Also remember the next hour curfew is in 5 minutes! (5 turns.) At this you notice the recent fruit has been painted with spots.
The woman looks back at you scared. "It's a mad house in here! A MAD HOUSE!"

The ex-Soviet walks down the ramp onto the ground below. "Let's go meet a Queen."

Don't worry peasant. We'll fix that for you. They each then collapse their files, reach into a opening hold they have, take out a bucket, and try to splash you with what ever was inside.

As the ship nearly touches the ground the target locks fade. No more messages come. but you seem some giant walking playing cards coming out of the villages with buckets and paint brushes with others with weapons making side lines for the others to use as a guide post.

As you walk around the people keep their distance. As you walk to one hobo house the back opens to running people heading to another. You notice that you head of course hurts worse the closer you are to the suit, and lessens when the distance increases. You notice now your radar ping came back with a series of radar rings directed at you from the suit. They came in as what robin figured was binary. Translated the following was received. "Are you alright? You let out a big scream there. I notice many of my metal visitors do as well. Well stay calm. All our metal heads hurt."

As the cards get closer they start to stack each-other on their shoulders to reach the ship itself. They then start painting the suit with dots of different colors with a background of purple. They won't finish right away but it already looks like a clown threw up on the ship.
As you step away a card races up to you and tries to splash you with a bucket!

The man nods to you before returning to focus on looking up to the cave celing while talking to white falcon.

The paint hits you and settles. The paint seems to move as it falls to create patterns. Leaving you covered in head to toe hot pink and purple spots. As soon as they see their job was done they turn and leave as you talk to "youself." Leaving with a comment of "weirdo."
The woman however responds. "Hey I said I would tell you everything you wanted when you got me out of here. I'll let a bit more out if it gets you moving. I heard a rumor there is a safe zone west of the village. Don't know where. The people that go there don't come back. Assholes the lot of them..... Kinda in the direction you where heading..."

Normally Falcon could just leave one of Robin's many avatars behind to deal with this while he covered more ground, but with this odd jamming, who knew how limited his Drones were.
Instead, he merely relayed the written message to Edin.

The paint is dodged barely, but when you wind up to hit the card you almost trip and lose balance when dodging that paint and whiff the air above the card. It starts flailing as it slowly falls backward into the other cards. Setting off a reaction that cause others to fall until all the ones near you fall. Paint and buckets fall everywhere as the group near you falls. The others (both armed and not.) turn to you. Watching your actions closely.

The cards look at you as you fly into your suit. About to throw paint at you, but then look at you suit and shrug. It takes some time to get to your cockpit and link up, but the suit starts up as the cards turn to look at salt.

Drache starts to walk further into the castle, keeping a close eye on the cards surrounding Dragonfly. The suit makes a quick motion with its wrist and commands The Pilder to return.

Czar says as he walks into the cave, the suit's hand to it's temple.

Starting to move a bit faster cloak starts to flutter as he heads to the castle. People look but don't really keep (or can for that matter) looking at you. You pass by the tent and start moving to the castle gates. you should be able to get in by next turn.

The cards start following you. You haven't hit them, but as you start walking towards the castle they start to walk along side you as an envoy. A guard tries to hit you now and again with the paint from a paint bucket from a distance, but as they see as you walking towards the castle they don't seem to be too aggressive. You should reach by next turn.
