Just before you instantly go for "NO FUCKING WAY!" - I'm not expecting from anyone to produce new gear, which inclused ammo and other ordnance, for a LOOOOOOONG while. Maybe even ever. Take that into consideration.

Originally a single, large, old slime that mindlessly consumed the animals and vegetation in the area; evolving and adapting as it consumed new and different life. It one point came across wounded, dying adventurer, and doing what it did naturally, consumed him. This lead to an ability to actually think, reason, and to a lesser extent, feel. For the most part, this initially had little effect on the great slime, apart from being more efficient at hunting. However, there was always a nagging feeling in the back of the slime's 'mind' it didn't yet understand that overtime became more pronounced. It would eventually come to understand the feeling: Loneliness. There were no other slimes, no other thinking creatures for the slime, who had come to name himself Blorp, to interact with. His loneliness grew to such an extent that he couldn't bear the weight of it any longer, and divided himself into numerous smaller slimes of varying colors and sizes. He pooled the majority of his consciousness, 'himself', into a larger slime, and declared himself the leader, to lead his people, his children, to a life above mindless consumption.
