Spider mom is VERY sympathetic, thank you very much. She was just a down-on-her-luck middle-aged single farmer mom who got caught in between two warring factions and lost her kids. Her spark ignited, and she wandered a desert for 3 days. When she happened upon a genie and begged him to help her, he instead twisted her words and cast a spell that perverted her mind and body. She was undeniably driven insane against her will. Then she died horribly after being forced to kill the creatures that she'd imprinted upon as her new children. I'd say that's pretty darn sympathetic.

The only post-mending Planeswalker that seemed as powerful as a top tier built deck card-wise, was Venser. Just had a cool flake idea- A sentient illusion with a spark. They have no physical body, but they can inhabit memories of their image, and use that person's body to planeswalk and then run off, stranding their host.

Planeswalkers aren't actually physical in nature. They are just currently bound to physical bodies. Planeswalkers are actually cosmic beings that aren't meant to be confined by a physical body. And because of the mending, their connection to their source of power is cut off and when their spark ignites, they are stuck in their bodies. While pre-mending when their sparks ignited, the source of power allowed them to ascend from their bodies and basically exist in the Blind Eternities. Which they created physical bodies (typically their former body, but not always) so that they can still interact with other mortals.
In post-mending, the Eldrazi Titans are very similar to how Planeswalkers actually are pre-mending.

Sentient, but hasn't exactly explained jack shit to anyone.Based heavily on Nylarthotep, not having a "true" identity and really getting in to playing a part, and FoW's Valentina, who was a tyrant titty-monster queen that mind-controlled and took over a brown loli, because... plot.
I figured I could do this in a fairly interesting way- the horror of "what if there's more of this thing", the horror of "this is what all those folk tales that appear on every plane is talking about", etc, etc, etc...

My biggest problem when trying to theorycraft a walker is that I think of everything in terms of potential commanders- legendary creatures.
You can see where the flavor came from, though, this is the first "incarnation", so to speak. I'd rather stick with this than go with "cosmic horror" for the art, honestly.

Reading this, it just sort of arbitrarily insists that it's a Horror, despite the fact that we've seen Shapeshifters with cruel intent before.
If you want an example of a shapeshifting thing that counts as a horror, feast your eyes on the true form of Ravnica's "Lupul." This ancient, writhing mass of squirming maggots consumes others before taking their form, its purpose unknown to any other than Szadek. Standing in a room of people you know well, it's hard to have anything more unnerving happen than for one of them to suddenly broil into a heap of this only to have it then bear down on you to bring you to an end.
Is is the main weapon of House Dimir in manipulating others to break the Guildpact.

Horror was mostly from inspiration and possible slight justification of being an actual "boogeyman"- a thing children are taught to fear in all sorts of tales that are similar across all planes. It might not be specific to any one story, but it does "exist" in that way.
I do see what you're getting at though, and at the moment, there's nothing screaming "horror" about it- it's acting semi-civilized, actually. Semi. Unless you're on Fiora, in which it's acting like everyone else.

The legendary creature is the "original" version- as in, I used art I was saving for a totally different concept, the card isn't the same as the walker, the card came "first".
While way too warrior-like, Double isn't too picky about what it'll clone, and later backstabbing other guard-members and disappearing "forever" will likely please it. It's usual MO is to cause such odd "events".

Double's actual "form" is both something I don't really have a picture of, and something that isn't really "shown" either- not quite the full blown Cthulu esque "looking at it drives you mad", but it is ever-shifting, otherworldly, and "wrong".
Oh, and the image is also chosen because of a totally shitty idea I'm going to enact later on down the line that you will -literally- see coming because of the stupid order in which my inspiration works.

Deliche was my first, and I'd say weakest.
Domhanrin's okay, could have been a little better.
Jayala's the current best hit, and my favorite contribution so far(The artificer we need, but not the one we deserve (because someone can probably do it better))
Double's pretty fun, and my first attempt to create a somewhat more story-applicable character- or, moreover, a somewhat more "evil" character that might reasonably work well with other flakes, if I or anyone else ever takes fancy to it, which leads me to my next contribution.

Post-creation notes: I probably went overboard with the cards. Murder Investigation, Confront the Unknown, and Expose Evil/Spare From Evil would have been enough because of her story, and Hope Against Hope feels slightly tongue-in-cheek. Most of the cards near the top except Open the Armory feel somewhat out of place, even if they do sort of reflect the planes she's been on.
Her story still feels a biiiiiit cheesy, and I'm wondering if she shouldn't have been Naya. Or if I should have been a better writer and made her more focused on repelling evil rather than hunting Double.
Still feels a bit better than Deliche.

Cut it down, and maybe find a flake or two to ally with. About three is a good number, five top in each group of friends. Don't let that stop your from making more friends, but having too many connections make it hard to move each story forward and kind of feels at least to me like hogging the attention.

Most of my walkers are totally unaware of each other. Deliche is on her own, Domhanrin is on her own, Jayala is on her own, Double really couldn't care less/doesn't even know about Vivienna, and Vivienna is doing her best but hasn't hit Double's "trail" yet. Next walker I make will probably be totally unrelatedunless I finally writefag about one of them, probably Jayala.
I'm not opposed to writing/toying with one of mine meeting one of not-mine, in fact, I'd probably prefer it that way. It would give me a chance to:

Alais was originally the reflection of a German woman...a reflection she fell in love with, but when she couldn't accept she was aging she assumed the reflection she was in love with had been replaced so she scarred the reflection with acid and committed suicide, later Mr Nobody arrived in the junkyard where the relfection had been left and brought it back as Alias the Blur, a bizarre entity that devours time.
