you can only have a custom pitch for your half, it's 390 by 450 pixels. you just make a picture and upload it, it needs to get approved then you can set it as your team picture. pretty sure you used to actually be able to set full custom pitches but im pretty sure it's not around anymore

Surprisingly few warning signs. Andy Hoare is working on it, he hasn't done rules for GW in a long time. They've confirmed it's a continuation of the current ruleset, which has been in the care of a committee of fans for quite some time. Biggest shakeup so far has been a shift upwards in the basing standards, which is still pretty small as it doesn't invalidate older models and a lot of 3rd party manufacturers were already pushing it with the size of their models on the current base size.
Unfortunate for people who built their own custom pitches in the old size, though.
Starter set will of course be Orcs vs. Humans but they've confirmed there will be a rules expansion released on the same day to allow folks to field Nurgle, Elves, Dwarfs, Skaven, and I believe Undead teams under the new rules.
Beyond the starter set, they've confirmed Forge World will be working on adding miniatures for additional teams, I don't think they've confirmed any GW plastic teams beyond the starter set yet.

So far those are the only teams they've confirmed will have rules available immediately. It's a fair bet additional teams will have rules added over time.
Assuming everything goes as planned, those teams will likely see miniature releases before any other teams, but we don't have any solid info yet. They have been showing off concept art for Nurgle and Dwarfs though, some of which implies that the biggest changes to game may be roster changes (I can't find it now but there was one which featured a tentacled Nurgle player with the words "Nurgle Thrower" written next to it - a positional which doesn't exist in the current Nurgle roster).
Anyways, the NAF has been keeping pretty well apace of news, you can find their site in the OP. The usual mini news/rumor feeds are also good for keeping up as places like Faiet have been posting news when it crops up.

Chumps of War(LawlessJustice) vs Gutter go fast!(Skudrinka) (Week 2)
Ogres v Rats, both of these teams had rough starts in their inaugural weeks. It's the war of the breakables.
CoWs started their drive in better form this game make a more concerted effort to slow the loss of snotlings. This outlook prevent the pitch from being cleared of snots but saw ball carrying Ogre Mien Brother Dongus swarmed by the OCs and brought down. Which allowed fronthog Shadew to pick up and run it in, the first of his career. The second part of the first half continues much the same, with rat swarms delaying and stopping the potential TD. That said, a series of broken rats give the Chumps ray of hope for the second half.
The second half opens up 10 to 5 in favor of the Ogre team. Correction, a failed block makes it 10 to 4. The rats play a little rope a dope spreading out the ogres and then trusting in an unlikely number of dodges from Shadew the Edgehog. His shades in the shop, he breaks away 4 times and catches a long throw from Medal Sanic. Running it in after a turn of abusing snotlings. Improbible. Another snotling crushed in the hands of a clumsy ogres leads to another immediate ball steal. A long bomb backwards lands the ball back in the hands of Shadew who runs it back to the ogre half but loses it when Ogre Sun D'oh faceplants on top of him. Shadew wiggles out and runs it in for his 3rd TD in one game.
A pile of injured Snotlings will haunt the chumps leading into their next game. Shadew Wins 0-3

Week 1 saw the High Elven Corsairs nab a costly win and the Skaven Nerds swarm over their opponents.
The half starts with Nerds reveling that they have hired the fearsome Fezglitch to spear point their offensive. He drives deep into the elf territory leaving the elves reeling in horror, until they realize that none of his "teammates" bothered to follow him. After giving him the boot, the Corsairs screen up and give King_Mad the boot as well putting him out of the game. The nerds shift lane three turns in a row utilizing superior rat speed to scatter the elves and land and easy TD turn 8.
Corsairs drive. Despite getting swarmed the tasty corsairs elf the ball from the mid field to the endzone line. Coach sasasing decides to turn the game into a teaching lesson for his team and shows them where you'd move if you we're going to blitz. He then backs off to allow someone else the hit. When no one else is close enough William Kidney Bean jauntily walks it in to tie up the score. This leaves the rats all day to complete a running cage down the field. The casualty box fills with surfed,fouled, and punched victims but the determined Nerds move that cage and manage a T16 score.
Not one serious injury. Rats win, but we lose. 1-2

Don't be retarded
There are a handful of teams who can justify 4+ rr's consistently. The stunties, vamps, zons purely from cheapness, slann, that's more or less it. Dwarf can take them from cheapness but they are the least rr dependent team. Everyone else can and should get by on 3rr's, and only 2 for some lower tv and starting builds.
If you're getting to very high tv, 2k+, it's less of an issue, but I don't think anyone here is really talking about this.

Fresh chaos can justify 4 RRs considering they start with no skills whatsoever. Sure you get one less positional, but it gives you more stability. Once you start getting your first skills and you get your last positional you can drop it back to 3
