Haven (and its ilk for other WoD games) is a purchasable background perk for your character in Vampire, denoting you have a safe haven or a base of sorts. You can purchase it at different levels, from one dot to five dots. The less dots you have, the less you have.
>>48194322
>Peasant in peril.gif
>>48194884
Kind of? I mean, Fate is all about foretelling, avoiding, changing, or creating new advantages. Although even just mechanically it's one of the better arcana, though hopefully some of it's ridiculousness will be toned down by the time the final final version of Mage 2e comes out.

My question is, does the sudden influx of magically transformed orcs into the local fauna's gene pool, on a scale of entire nations' worth of people, have any unforeseen effect on them?

I like this, but it always triggers my autism a little bit that the player would just say "I succeed". That's not how any of this works. If they wanted to save the lines of the back and forth, "I got a 24" "You succeed" they could've at least had the GM call out the number he needed to beat.
>>48195508
>Skill based systems
I don't get it.
>>48195510
A lot of people do that, though. Even if it's bad form, I've seen plenty of people just say "I get enough" when they know for a fact it's going to be enough.
That being said, probably not something to include even in a humorous play example.

my dad did this with me and my brother when we were very young.
Its christimas
Receive toy gun that do some sounds
Brother receive small car toy that spins in a random way when you turn on.
After some months we break those 2 toys.
Next christimas
I receive the toy car (fixed obviouly)
And my brother receives the fixed pistol.
If I remember they said santa claus fixed it and gave back the toy to us.
>>48195835
No t magical enough, not missile enough.
>>48195794
Oh, I know exactly why I've got *this* boner...
>>48195897
Imagine if, instead, after two months the toy car mysteriously disappears and a couple of months later the pistol does too.
Then, next Christmas, you go to open presents. You unwrap your toy gun. Your brother unwraps his car. You turn to look at your dad, who is sitting there with the smuggest look imaginable, acting like he's done you a favor.
That's what's going on in that image.

Are they playing an RPG or ordering at a restaurant?
>>48196455

>>48196477
They are probably playing at family restaurant.
You'd be surprised with shit you can get away with at Japanese fami-res.
You can be there almost 24/7 without actually ordering anything or ordering only drinks, as long as you're quiet and don't trouble anyone.

>You can be there almost 24/7 without actually ordering anything or ordering only drinks, as long as you're quiet and don't trouble anyone.
That seems awesome and totally dickish to do. At least order stuff periodically or else you're kind of stealing from the restaurant.
Of course, if one of your players' family owns the place, its a little different.
>>48196495

>>48196633
Thanks.
>>48196606
>That seems awesome and totally dickish to do.
Exactly.
The problem is, the prices in fami-res are way too high for an ordinary student/NEET to actually order anything besides drinks.
I'm actually serious, there are a few aspiring mangakas I know, they actually draw their shit right in the restaurant, ordering nothing but drinks, then go home when they're done for the day and eat a bunch of their 100-yen instant ramen there.
Some homeless people live months in the internet-cafe etc. Japan is fucking crazy in that regard. Anti-cafe isn't that unique of a concept, why didn't it pop up in the country where everyone is starved for personal space? I don't fucking know.
>>48196691
>anti-cafe

i got a few good ones
>>48196691
>Anti-cafe
First time I've heard of the concept. Maybe it's my internal cheapskate talking but what's stopping people from going there, ordering all the foodstuff and leaving after 30 minutes?
>>48196756

>>48196506
A pub in the last city I lived in allowed us to game freely. We never went there during busy hours, but still. We'd just get some drinks and stay for 4+ hours, and not once were we bothered or asked to leave.
Having places like that is really cool and convenient.
>>48196760
You don't order stuff per se. It's more like coworking with coffee, snacks and entertainment facilities - except you don't actually work, you go there to socialize and fool around.

This capture is surreal for me
I watched the Blair movie a few weeks ago for the first time after never having even heard of it (I dont like horror and I dont watch a lot of movies)
I said to the two of them, if I was in the situation I would burn the forest to the ground. Because if they are tripping, they will be found by fire rescue. If there is a magic witch who is torturing them, fuck her this is what she gets.
>>48196855

I'm from the wrong side of former Berlin Wall. And our culture sees it differently. When there's some event with free snacks, people would normally not eat the day before, then gorge themselves like a hamster. Ideally stuff some in pockets too for the next day. It's seen as a normal thing by locals.
But yeah, foreign people usually have hard time processing this. And I imagine this is something I wouldn't do when abroad, but I would totally be thinking about it.

What is it with poor people and throwing stiff arm punches like chimps? Regardless of experience in a fight, or general fitness I never see anyone not living in a slum fight like this.
>>48195493
>>48196843
Source?
>>48197122
It's a natural reflex to hammer at something, so it is definitely a matter of experience in a fight. You actually have to know to twist your punch so as to impart more force.
Richer kids often get one or two karate instructors in elementary school to give them the most rudimentary strike. They forget about it, but their body doesn't.

But a fairly large chunk of the user base can't be assed to bother, even when they come to a thread specifically for filenames.
It's not as bad with filenames that truncate to ellipses, but even then some people won't bother.
It's good form to keep it at or under 25 characters if possible.
