It's ok.

With any luck we'll get a card for Anje too, who if WotC is feeling generous is a solid, fun RB legend. Werewolves don't need their noses rubbed in it any further though.
>>
>>48127447
It is for red. Every 1R 2/2 red creature has had a drawback.

Don't remind me. Wizards had one job and that was to make a playable Werewolf commander for EDH, and they totally fucked that up. Completely.

It didn't even need to be a immerwolf, a werewolf that forced other werewolves to transform would have been perfect.
>>
>>48127762
what the hell are you on. there are a bunch of playables across different formats
>>
>>48127756
The trigger is "On Cast".
Copies of spells aren't cast per se, so only 1 copy will be created from him targeting your dragon instead of his own (which would have been better for not having buffed one of your creatures and ended with the same p/t on his side.)
>>
>>48127756
It says cast, so copies don't trigger it.

That's why I was asking. Wanted to see if that could be a viable strategy if two were out. Though targeting an opponent's tapped one and buffing it is a semi-deterrent to putting down.

>>

I would have liked a Werewolf that let you choose not to transform your non-human werewolves when itself was a werewolf that way some cards like Duskwatch Recruiter or Huntmaster you have the advantage of both sides, but all of the vanilla beaters that are just smaller vanilla beaters on their human side stay more useful.

I'd also probably have the human side pump Human Werewolves up a tiny bit just so they are a bit more of a threat and harder to kill if you can't get them transformed yet.

That's what I would have wanted in a Werewolf legendary.
>>
>>48127765
Hell, he could even be alright with a few tweaks. It seems like the basic idea was:
>Werewolf side: splashy removal effect
>Human side: something to benefit your werewolves while they're offline

It's just that each of those needed to be more splashy and interesting than "fight" and "pump spell".

In all of Magic, there has been three 1/3 creatures for one mana and they all had severe drawbacks. Before this thing.

While the abbilities are lack luster, it's more a flavor fail for me than anything. This planeswalker doesn't say, "I'm your last hope to defeat Emrakul." LotV would have been mechanically PERFECT for this set. She would have been perfect last set too. I guess they're saving her for supplemental products.

Coffers is great for black and if it's your win-con, cool. I'm in the process of dialing down the power of my B/W enchantments deck: taking out both debt to the debtless and exsanguinate for more flavorful choices.

I can see some people not liking it b/c it gets repetitive: tap coffers for big Fuck You X spell. My goal is to steer that mana towards some other, flashy effects.
>>
>>48131842
The creature type and the art, I really like. So nice. I want more of it.
>>
>>48132035
You should have a great amount of choice for B/W, a lot of possibility in the big enchantment/flashy spell department. Good luck
>>
>>48130443
Doesn't have regenerate, it's not a skeleton to me.

What is up with the recent R&D recent fetish for "couple" cards?

Tibour and Lamia at least had nice flavor with their mechanics.

Are we going to get one of these for nearly every block for now on?

>Try playing black in Legacy without Cabal Ritual, Ichorid and Putrid Imp
I assume you mean mono black because otherwise there are plenty of strong deck that play black without running those cards, like BUG variants, Grixis Delver, Reanimator, and so on.

Although, considering you mentioned Dredge cards (which isn't exactly mono black), it's seems more plausible that you just don't know what you're talking about.

More like $4 for playset a week after release.

Exactly. $4 for the play set, $2 for total shipping cost. TCG player has all mythics at a mandatory $2 for some reason.

Would pairs/parings be preferable?

translation: they are the shittiest one, hence the one you like the most
>>
>>48132215
>it's a 7 mana value enchantment with no form of protection
mite b cool if it countered the 1st spell
this would be a really fun effect on a 3-4 mana instant or sorcery that triggered once
>>
>>48132397
They are shit but the art and mechanics with flavor fits perfectly.

The rest have no flavor with their mechancis at all.

I like Mina and Denn as a card the most out of the bunch.

i was expressly disagreeing with you

you're simply wrong

tibor and lumia have retarded flavor

"when our planeswalker friend casts spells, it activates our jetpacks and then we burn everybody on the ground alive!!"

wow such flavor, amazing

anax and cymede on the other hand make perfect sense, when their planeswalker friend blesses them with supernatural strength, they galvanize their soldiers to fight to victory
>>

>"when our planeswalker friend casts spells, it activates our jetpacks and then we burn everybody on the ground alive!!"
Not that guy but that's perfectly in line with the Izzet flavor.

>>
>>48131431
I like the spider okay. It's decent against CoCo efficiency creatures and pre-flip Avacyns as a blocker and it has a late-game use considering how common flickers are right now. It's a lot of ETB action for some decks, and it's not impossible to imagine a board state in stall games where you're going to be able to keep your mana up, pop your spiders at end step, untap, swing, and ping for lethal.
>>
>>48132666
>I like the spider okay

Of course you do, Satan.
>>
>>48132171
Couple cards are actually kinda fun.
I'd like a couple card cycle with Ravnica guilds. Wedges, shards, or 4-color, idc
>>
>>48132803
Would you REALLY like Ravnica couples though? Just this of Azov, nothing but couples with a stick up their ass.
>>
>>48132565
Calm down your autism. T&L are two different wizards and represent different halves of the card and it is shown on the art.

Whereas the other couples have nothing signifying that on their cards mechanically or in regards to art.
>>
>>48127584
It's a workable Alpha strike commander, especially with the in-built +4/+4 on entry or flip meaning you can start from an 8/8 or 10/10.

So how good do you think Morrorwing Dragon's foil will look.
>>
>>48132967
The bottom is really dark which doesn't bode well and in my opinion red has the worst modern border however current foils look fantastic and those wings will look gorgeous so 8/10.

>>48132890
It wont be a 10/10 unless you are able to flip him the turn he comes in or flip him twice in one turn.

Anyway of doing something near as effective as this in standard?
>>
>>48133246
>effective
In what sense is that effective at all?
>>
>>48133246
...Is that a combo? Rakdos Charm doesn't target Mirrorwing Dragon, and if you used other effects to make that possible it'd just nuke your artifact creatures.
>>
>>48130592
I feel you bro. You're one of the only ones that says firestorm, and I fully agree.
>>
>>48133246
How many creatures are you planning on giving to your opponent for this to make sense?

>>48133342
He's trying to Harmless Offer everything he has and blast Rakdos Charm on their face.
>>
>>48133246
So let me get this straight. You're donating a 4/5 flyer to your opponent so that Rakdos Charm can deal one more damage to him?
>>
>>48133313
Effective is probably the wrong word, but if you have enough on the board you could cause an insta-kill using this combo. I feel like there's a way we can exploit this handover of all creatures in standard, but we just need the right card.

>>48133342
Kinda - the idea is that you have enough board so that rakdos charm becomes a kill on handover, which in a token heavier deck could work. Your opponent is likely to have done some of the legwork already since they'll be building their kind of board.
>>
>>48133357
Oh! Duh, why didn't I realize that would happen. I am a fool.
>>
>>48133357
>>48133400
Did both of you read the goddamn words on Mirrorwing Dragon? Or are those just some uncomprehensible scribblies to you?
>>
>>48133400
If you have a large enough board presence to win using that, you probably have enough to win without giving all your creatures away and outright lose yourself the game.
>>
>>48133399
No, you're donating your entire board to them so Charm can deal however many creatures you had at the time more damage.
>>
>>48133429
Did you? Because I'm sure Harmless Offering gets copied for each creature you have.
>>
>>48133438
Just imagine their face when they get all smug about having a Fog in hand, then suddenly you completely reverse their expectations.
>>
>>48133464
Harmless Offering have two targets
Jesus fuck, these goddamn idiots.
>>
>>48133464

>>48133464
>>48133440
>>48133407
Dumbasses Mirrorwing doesn't copy Donate.
>>
Retards can't read. Mirror wing works like this.
Player A controls mirror wing.
Player B casts exile on it.
Player B just exiled mirror wing and his OWN creatures because he's a retard who can't read.
>>
>>48133542
Shit, you're right.
>>
>>48133429
>whenever a player casts an instant or sorcery spell that targets only ~, that player copies that spell for each other creature he or she controls

>that player
>he or she controls

You cast it, your side gets it. They cast it, their side gets it.
>>
>>48133246
Maze of Ith, Forbidden Orchard & Argothian Elder already make better engine for Rakdos Charm.

The way to exploit the Dragon is to get Illusion of Grandeur, somehow turning it into Creature, hitting it with kicked Rites of Replication, hitting the Dragon with kicked Rites of Replication and THEN Offering them all.
>>
>>48133565
>that targets only
>>
So if you Immolating Glare an attacking mirrorwing, your creatures wouldn't be destroyed too, right? Because they're not attacking?
>>
>>48133246
so wait. youre going to put ~20 creatures on your board.. and then use 2 other spells to kill your opponent? why not just use the creatures?
>>
>>48133611
>>48133565
>Harmless Offering is worded as such:
TARGET [opponent] gains control of TARGET [permenant]
>Mirrorwind Dragon is worded as such:
When a [player] TARGETS ONLY [Mirrorwing] [player] make copies
>>
>>48133622
Nope, because there's no target. You don't have attacking creatures.
>>
>>48133622
Correct, although the real reason is because since their are no valid targets on your side of the field, the spell isn't copied at all.
