top job CC-anon.

at this rate we'll have fully-superior full-functionality before i've even played my first game!

it is community members like you that put industry insiders to shame. please keep up the good work.

do you have plans for CC or are you simply making it better and better?
>>
>>47955576
>do you have plans for CC or are you simply making it better and better?

Short-term I'm working on having it be able to print up a Steamroller record sheet automatically.

Long-term, I'd like to -- assuming I get a critical mass of users -- turn it into a hub for scheduling tabletop games and other events by having a map and calendar and the ability to say "I'm going to be at this shop playing at this time, looking for an opponent" or "We've got a tournament at this time and place" and have someone be able to bring up a map that shows where people are playing nearby and when.

As part of that (with the ability to submit lists to local events), I'm really interested in being able to do some analysis of what gets *played* (I'm a computer science researcher by day, so analyzing stuff like that is actually fun) and be able to do some more detailed analysis of list structure and such. I'd like to have a button where a steam-powered Clippy pops up and suggests adding more armor cracking because your list will have trouble with the median list of the same size, etc.

But for the most part it's awesome to have people use something you made, and I'll keep improving it as I have time.

Hi there blog, I had a really shit game a couple hours ago.

>Make 8 attacks with Hexeris2
>Feat
>Make 7 more attacks
>Barely kill the Angelius because I missed about 10 of those attacks
>Die because my spells are completely ineffectual

Yeah I think any spell slinger that isn't Rasheth is automatically bad now because there's so many spells that increase defense against magic attacks.
>>
>>47956756
What were the lists?
>>
>>47956952
He was using Bethayne and 14DEF infantry that basically won him the game by going to 16DEF making it impossible to reliably land Ashes to Ashes on anything. Throw in some of the worst rolling I've ever done and it was just an all round shit game to play. Hexeris needed a 7 to hit the Angelius. I was expecting to charge it, kill it in a few swings, then have a couple transfers. I had to feat to steal 7 fury, then use the entire stack to kill it on the last swing. Not like it mattered since Bethayne is the hardest to starve warlock in the game since she just cuts herself then melds all the damage away. Fuck 16DEF infantry man, shit's just dumb. I threw a boosted Black spot at them, missed, threw another, missed. The entire game wasn't fun.
>>
How will Mk 3 influence Menoth, Cryx, Cygnar and Mercs/Rhulic? I was looking to get back into the game and my wife professed an interest in those factions. I was probably going to pick up Rhulic or Menoth myself.
>>
>>47955742
Sounds great. In Germany there's T3 (tabletopturniere.de) which is sued for organizing basically any event. So I can't even fathom how everyone else does it.
>>
>>47957057
Rhulic and Menoth both look strong. For Rhulic, you'll be using non-rhulic solos and maybe some non-rhulic units, but rhulic jacks got very strong in Mk3
>>
Hello /wmhg/. Today I learned something. Khador is broken as fuck.
>>
>>47957174
Are the High Shields worth it at all? I always liked them, but they were lackluster.
>>
>>47957226
They still seem relatively lackluster iirc.
>>
>>47957236
What about Precursor Knights?
>>
Which is better to have to start with in cygnar, assuming you already own the all in one, trenchers or storm blades/more jacks. Rn the jacks I have are the reliant/stormclad, charger, defender and a centurion
>>
>>47957184
Show me on the doll where the Juggernaut touched you, Anon.
>>
>>47957355

>>47957329
Well which caster do you like?
>>
>>47957369
>>47957369
>Well which caster do you like?
Like I said, just starting, but I'll probably use the Haley's a lot, alongside Caine 2 and siege, stryker too. I wanna run trenchers, but I really don't know if they're good or not and want some input mainly
>>
>>47957646
Well if you want Haley and Trenchers, then Haley3 is just what you need. She's a bit complicated though. In fact, the only easy Haley is Haley1 and she is so easy it's beyond boring to play (against) her.

Trenchers (Trencher Infantry that is) in general are good and very independent. They can use caster-dependent buffs, but don't need them. So you could basically play Trenchers + Command Attachment + 3 Rifle Grenadiers + Finn in basically any list and at worst they would perform okay.
>>
>>47957022
Dont you have acces to the razorworm that can arc into the back?
>>
>>47957722
I was using one. The problem is he put his infantry in the middle so I couldn't slip around the side. On one flank was trees, on the other was cavalry with poisonous shots and RNG12. Starting to think that Hexeris1 would be better purely because I could drop that sweet 5" template on faggots.
>>
>>47957711
Who would be a good caster to start with then, assuming I have the all in one and just the basic trencher box
>>
>>47957771
Well, Siege is up there. He's really simple. Stryker1/Maddox might be good as well. In all honesty, Cygnar has no bad caster (not even Sturgis, Stryker1 and Maddox are just better than him). I'd just advise against starting with Haley2 or 3, just because of their complexity.
>>
>>47956407
just 2 characters jacks.

Excellent. But what about the Testament?
>>
>>47958182
Durst is pretty incredible now that you can run the battlegroup he always wanted
>>
>>47958044
Sure. Which caster do you like most out of those? Maybe we can come up with an early list draft based on the stuff you have.
>>
>>47958182

Kross my nigga, I really like his 2 and 3 models though. Are they going to be stand up at all this edition?
>>
>>47958240
I'm not sure about Testament. He has 3 good spells and a really neat feat, but 6 focus is only enough for his upkeeps and casting raise dead twice and 14/16 defensive stats are bad enough that you're going to need to spend more than most to protect him which hurts with his below-average wj points. I might be underrating his feat by a lot, though.

>>47958249
Durst suffers from needing his infantry to bunch up around his jacks in an edition where bunching up gets single-wounders killed. He isn't bad, I just think he is outclassed by protectorates very strong stable of casters.
>>
>>47958506
>Durst suffers from needing his infantry to bunch up around his jacks in an edition where bunching up gets single-wounders killed. He isn't bad, I just think he is outclassed by protectorates very strong stable of casters.

lol i don't people are even giving a shit about that aspect of the feat except for maybe using it on durst himself.

Weaponmaster spam dies pretty hard to ranged armies, but the no real ranged jackspam you're seeing people do has very little in the way of shit to stop the infantry from getting there, so it's likely to roll them.

Gonna be new to cygnar and one of my favourite aspects of them is their infantry models, have a couple questions

1: Can either Caine run trenchers well? I'm not a fan of a lot of Cygnar's casters (Haley, striker, and sloan hold no interest to me)

2: Are any of the trencher UAs good? (Chain gun, cannon, officer/sniper). I also really like trencher commandos, but I've heard they're not great.

3: How would one suggest expanding on the cygnar battlegroup once I get my hands on it and become familiar with it?

thanks

But who else benefits from having Exemplar around?
>>
>>47960025
>But who else benefits from having Exemplar around?
Anyone with a speed or armor buff is good with them, and so is anyone who can revive them.
Thyra is also bretty good with them due to occultation, carnage and silence of death.
They can work with eSevvy, using rebuke as a pseudo speed boost.

The rezniks and amon probably do the least for them out of all our casters
>>
>>47960199

Question number two; who is this nigga best with? I love the model, the lore, the rules, but I don't know where he fits in at all especially with Mk 3.

>>
>>47961620

>>47961647

>>
>>47961620
Well at the moment Kreoss 2 doesn't have a tier list to pigeon hole him into one type of style. So he benefits pretty well from the feat.

Kreoss 1 would like cause his basic control game is so solid with purification, lamentation, and defenders ward.

Good with harbinger still too cause of crusaders call and guided hand.
>>
>>47961728

What about Kreoss 3?
>>
>>47961769

>>
>>47961724
they got their own forums and other places to post and discuss the game. one of the main reasons why 40k is so popular here, aside that its the biggest game, is because gw doesn't have an official forum for discussion. you really shouldn't take how much it get posts about on 4chan as an indicator of popularity.

>>

>>
>>47961981
Yeah. Maybe Malifaux, if we want to count Europe then maybe Infinity. Both games have a strong following. I think Malifaux can get big because Steampunk and everyone loves that. I think they need to take the competitive aspect of the game more seriously.

Infinity's only real problems are the complexity of the rules, which turn off shitters, and that its made by Spanish socialists.

1 - yes

2 - yes, but not the chain gun.

3 - stormclads, avengers, chargers, its hard to go wrong

but the bigger question is why are you playing Cygnar if you dont like Haley and Stryker. i can get sloan, shes a boring fuck. but Haley is a national treasure and stryker is great, although stryker1 is a boring his other 2 incarnations are great. such as being the best face beater in the entire game

without them you're left with what, Caines, Darius, Sturgis, Siege and Maddox? except for the caines, yuck.

best i can find is the description, http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/47749121/#47749582.

entirely possible its just a made-up fake, but i at least think it looks fairly plausible
>>
>>47962884
The translations are fine. Community seems fine also and they have good support for the competitive scene. The rules though, the trick really is to just dive into them fully. Look up shit later if it's not clear. We had a small scene start up but a lot of more casual and shitter players bailed on it cause they kept trying to kiddie pool it; small point games, no scenario, fear any advance rules.

The other issue i have with them is they just pick random models to make models. Granted theyre lax on proxy rules but with the games growth, the WYSIWYG-fags from 40k are starting to muddy the waters.
>>
>>47964188

I may try it in the future if the community here materializes, for now though I'm trying to get back into Warmachine after a few years stint with WHFB and 40k.

I admit I mostly came back to Mk 3, though AoS and my 40k army getting shafted have been encouragement enough to switch..
>>
What are some absolute Must Have models for Cygnar and Cryx?
>>
>>47962864
Actually I think PP > FFG, however because PP splits warmachine and hordes instead of having it as one game (like it is) it brings down their total number
>>
>>47963030
I think Endgame in oakland and Great Escape Games in sac have large GW communities
>>
>>47965189
How are they different games? Its more like a mechanic than a different game.
>>
>>47964855
I cant speak for cygnar but for cryx, non-warcasters, you cant go wrong with bane knights, satyxis blood witches and nyss hunters.

For jacks arc node lights are all fine, deathjack and nightmare are very potent and I would recomend grabbing a few inflictor/seether kits and magnitizing them when they come out.

For solos darragh wraith is probably the best single piece in the army. Bane lord tartarous is needed if you are running banes. Skarloc and the withershadow combine are good for casters with ghost walk, telekenisis or lots of upkeeps.

Finally ragman, saxon orrik and gorman are all very good mercinary solos to consider with special mentions to Wrong Eye and Snapjaw-essential for building your own fort kickass.

PP is pretty arbitrary in this regard. They market, brand and sell them as two separate games... because reasons.

I guess it's easier on them? It does mean they release two different rulebooks, when it would probably be more cost-effective to just have one book with everything in it.

But, I don't know. They sell them separately because they want to. Whatever.

Probably because that is what Tinkerhouse happened to have experience with.
>>
>>47968916
Sure, but c'mon, Unity is not fucking meant for the kind of shit that War room is.

Their initial install of War Room 2 was 1.4gigs. That's fucking embarrassing. Fucking Hearlthstone on my tablet is 1.5.

If their programmers only have experience with a single coding program, they really need to do some fucking work. There are numerous better choices that they could have picked, and it's not like War Room is an ambitious production in terms of what it does.

So mk3 about to release fully, and I would love to get into this game. I'm not a competitive gamer by any stretch, I prefer lots of story and campaigns and stuff. Everyone I've seen local takes the game very seriously though, with lots of tournaments and 'git gud' thrown around.

Can I get into this game and have fun casually, or am I doomed to lose every until I give up on the game?
>>
How were banes nerfed?
>>
>>47970956

There are more casual army choices and AFAIK new books usually include campaign scenarios that match the ongoing storyline.

I am however going to tell you to 'git gud' and to not be a pussy about losing. Failing is how you learn and become the 'got gud'. Preferably you do this with people who are fun to play against and that is entirely on you to find. A game cannot dictate the personalities will be interacting with. My own anecdotal evidence suggests that you can play with competitive players who are still fun to be around and play against.
>>
>>47970958
Lost stealth. Also, banes raised by goreshade tartarus or whatever can't attack the turn they are put into play.
>>
>>47970958
Knights lost Weaponmaster, picked up Brutal Charge. Have roughly the same average damage on the charge(but less chance of spikes), but their vengeance bite took a hit.

Warriors(Thralls) lost Stealth and Tough, picked up Ghostly, same as Knights. Picked up 1" of reach.

Curse no longer gives +2" of movement, only a hit buff.
>>
>>47971378

Okay so they're still good but not as big of a pain to kill or doing retard amounts of damage by themselves anymore?
>>
What is the standard Army size in Mk III?
>>
>>47971479

75pts
>>
>>47971402

>>
>>47970956
You are better served with other games.

The people that spout GitGud almost never play the campaign and storyline leagues.

They will show up for two weeks and then commence to complain about how imbalanced the scenarios are and refuse to show the remainder of the league.

If narrative and goofy scenarios is what you are hungering for, WMH is a barren ghost town when it comes to find players.

GitGud or GoHome.â„¢

I've had some moderate luck in my area, but at the end if the day you are probably going to be playing against whatever the most broken shit in the game is at the time and will be expected to do the same.
This makes it more difficult to paint a narrative since your army never changes and your opponent's army tends to repeat a lot.
This also makes it so the armies/lists you may want to play are at a super disadvantage, but no one really knows that for sure until the game gets tested out more
It was pure suffering in MKII...it's not looking pretty in MKIII, but I remain hopeful

I bought the old Legion of Everblight all in one box a while back and im cracking it out to start playing in MK3, whats the deal with Strider Rangers, do they still exist? Theyre not in the OPs armybuilder link.

Also is this box even going to do me well or do i need to make some immediate purchases?
>>
>>47976365
>whats the deal with Strider Rangers, do they still exist?

They're Strider Scouts now.
>>
>>47976365

They're called Strider Scouts now for some reason to differentiate them from the Blightblades.

As for the box it's not a bad deal for bulk models, but a lot of the choices are niche pics. The Scythean and Angelius will always be pretty decent, the Shepards are great, and the Deathstalker is still a great infantry removal tool. The Bloodseer is sort of niche and lost a lot of usefulness after a lot of our animi were changed to Self range. Neraph is pretty much never worth the points.

Personally I don't see a reason to use Saeryn in MK3. Her feat was pretty bonkers last edition, but her new one is pretty worthless on a faction full of paper beasts. The changes to Blight Bringer and Breath Stealer (can no longer prevent charges) also hurt her too.

For immediate purchases, I'd say a plastic Carnivean chassis kit for magnetizing is always a good choice. A Forsaken is a nice cheap pick for a fury management tool. For new casters I'd say pVayl, eAbsylonia, or pThagrosh are good general casters. Bethayne is great if you run her with Swordsmen and Raptors, though Raptors are really expensive dollar wise.
>>
>>47975555

That is a lot of Inflictors.

Thanks man. Going in blind here and my local club guys talk over my head.
>>
>>47976181
Anyone?
>>
>>47976741

No problem man.

Luckily for the most part Legion plays pretty much the same as usual. eVayl, Saeryn, Harriers, and Zuriel got somewhat kicked in the teeth by the transition, but we can still more or less still run the same beast crazy lists as usual.
>>
>>47974741
>has no feat.

Still does 80% of a colossal's boxes on average rolls. Are you *literally* retarded? I mean, seriously, are you stupid? Are you so bad at this game that you think his his new feat - which easily kills a heavy, and can kill a colossal one third of the time is "no feat"? You're the reason people hate Cryx players.
>>
>>47972228
Get a field gun. Also possibly a kodiak if you can for the blast immune stuff
>>
So is Tyrant Zaadesh playable? Sure he went from 3 to 4 points in Mk3 but what can you do with him beyond fielding a fuck ton of Razor Hounds? Put a bunch of Cyclops Brutes and Savages in his group? I mean, a Savage goes to a MAT8 PS13 weaponmaster in his group and all Cyclops got cheaper so it might not be the end of the world. I might try it out. The problem is he's still only fury 4 so can't reave much back, and if you can't reave it back, it's crazy to do it. You still have to run the HUGE risk of him dying and having beasts sat out in the open going wild.
>>
>>47976749
Im biased since my group has a lot of high arm or ways to give blast immune, but I see them as mainly extra bodies if you really want them rather than the grenades
>>
>>47975555

>>
>>47975852

>>
>>47975852

NMM still looks silly to me on models of this scale but neat. Gold really helps the red and black, I'd like to see it on your other models if you have any painted?
>>
>>47976833
Over an extend period of time you will eventually have an average of 7 models brought back with the feat.

In a individual game the reality is that you have a 16.67% chance to roll any face on 1d6, to bring back anywhere between 4 and 9 modles.

Am I stupid for wanting reliability? I did say in my prievious post that d3+6 would have been acceptable. However I feel that the extreem spread of his current feat is to inconsistant.

To break it down the caster as a whole, changes to the core rules have worked against his effectivness. Some were nessisary like the helldiver and the change to excarnate, some unexpected like the inability to charge frieny modles. Additionally he can no longer protects his units. So when I'm down on attrition because i lost most of my guys on the approach and feat 4 guys back to life its really awsome I killed 1 heavy. Too bad I needed to kill 3.
>>
>>47977650

Don't reply to shitposters, anon. You can't win.
>>
>>47977650
>Am I stupid for wanting reliability?

No, you're stupid for saying he "has no feat".

It's not the ridiculous feat it used to be, but compared to the rest of the game, it's not a bad feat by any stretch of the imagination. Histrionics about Gaspy2 having "no feat" just makes you look stupid.

I think they benifit much more from counter-charge than seethers.

>>47977271
well, no one has them. They will not be avaliable untill august. Just out of curiosity why don't you like them? I, personally, think they are the best non character heavy in the faction. They have reach, 13pts, speed 6 and are armor 19 wich means unlike the other slayer-chasies they are ostensibly immune to pow10 shooting. Plus they have shield gaurd, who doesn't like that?

If I haven convinced you, I suppose the harrower *could* be an interesting choice. Its relativly independant and can get a lot of work done.

Played my first game of MKIII yesterday against Khador. Lists were:

Thexus
-Wrecker
-Subduer x2
-Warden x2
Benders max x2
Slaver max
Slaver min (ambush)
Overlords
Agitator x2

Sorscha 2
-Beast
-Juggernaut
Field Gun
Winterguard Infantry max+ 3 rockets
Winter Rifles max
Widows + solo
Assault Kommandos min + flamethrower

Played Hold the Line (no one scored). Fucked up my deployment like always by underestimating forests. We were both overly cautious and our heavies didn't do anything except infantry killing in Turn 3. Got most of my shit blown up until I feated and sprayed all over everything with Overlords and Benders. He went for the Cyclone+Boundless+Feat assassination and missed his second swing leaving Thex at half health. TK plus a Subduer was all that was needed after that. Bonus points for the Overlord that got a free strike on Sorscha and did 8 damage.

to me testing could maybe have helped, and the apparent failings in this are a concern.

but what astonishes me is that they went with the fucktards @tinkerhouse again; after the monstrosity that was the first warroom.

"thanks for your effort, hope you didn't spend all your money in one go, bye now."
NOT
>"well um, can you guys try again? maybe don't make it so shit this time, please. here's more moneys you are not qualified for."

why do people keep pushing these "apps"? convenience only wins when functionality is, well, functional.
>hurr durr see how i write my thesis and collate my invaluable scientific data on my ipad. i know technology!
fuck right off
>>
>>47981473
I mean, this is kind of embarrassing for Tinkerhouse, but who hires a game app company to produce this shit?

Their use of Unity is pretty embarrassing, but in some ways, what do you expect? Far as I can tell, their actual gaming programming has been fine, their ports of PC games all have pretty good reviews. And clearly they've figured something out, given their reduction of file size being so drastic.

Like, Tinkerhouse games feels like, if not a good, the least bad choice that PP has made. On some levels it's fucking terrible, but they're the only outside hire that actually seems to be improving on their shit.

I mean, I imagine Tinkerhouse got hired because someone at the PP offices liked one of their games on their iPad, and said they should hire them, and Tinkerhouse had no fucking clue what they were getting into.

And yea, War Room 2 is still pretty bad, but you compare it to base launch WR1, and they've come a long fucking way in terms of what they're doing.

So it's like, half and half. They've made a fucking terrible choice in Unity, but they're also actually improving. I mean, for all the griping, War Room 2 does function, and it has gotten rid of a huge amount of the functionally issues that WR1 had.
>>
>>47981473
Is Shick in charge of Tinkerhouse or War Room?

War Room is embarrassingly bad. Serious amateur hour shit. And they give themselves a reacharound for actually having content hosting this time around so the whole fucking thing doesn't just grind to a halt.

And then there's the whole "using Unity when there's no fucking reason to", and "rolling our own login system when all of the platforms we run on have high-quality built-in authorization that we use anyway for billing" and "oh, sorry the initial download was over a gig, we just thought that was how it worked -- oh, someone told us we could fix it a week after release".

Holy fuck these guys are shit. It's an endless chain of what would be career-ending fuckups if they were actually in the software industry. Had I worked on that flaming abortion, I'd deny any association with it out of embarrassment.

Conflictchamber does the actual list building better. I mean, shit, if I were getting paid and had support from the parent company and some random dude did it better just for shits and giggles I'd consider taking up buckshot taste-testing as a career.

t. an actual software engineer
>>
>>47982111
This is actually the first time I've ever played them so anything I say won't really have a good basis. However, I think it should probably be pretty evident that Tough, in any army, isn't something to rely on. Other than that, it was a pretty fun match barring all my fuck ups.
>>
>>47969449
They didn't write their own, it's a third party component. How do I know? The PDF documentation for it is part of the app for some bloody reason.
>>
>>47982317
>>47982238
>>47982142
It's the Unity that confuses me the most. Like, the root of all of Tinkerhouse's problems comes down to Unity, so why are they using it?

I mean, first WR, alright, maybe they've got a bunch of programmers who had only worked in it, and that was what they put out. But how many years has it been? I know dick about smartphone/tablet development, but there has to be a tool that can't be that hard to use out there, right?
>>
>>47982388
Yeah, given their inability to get WMH cards quite right, I doubt they could get anything near a functional PDF viewer on their own. So they got a third-party component. A horribly shitty third-party component.
>>
>>47982238

Speaking of, how is Warmachine Tactics? I was told they've been slowly patching it into a decent state.
>>
>>47982388
It it like, meant for tablet use?

Because it's hands down the worst part of the app. Everything else functions more or less as it should, and I haven't seen any slowdown in any of it, but the reader just fucking dies constantly.

I've just put the damn rules PDF on my phone, look it up in the app, and then switch over it's that fucking bad.
>>
>>47982436
But PDF viewing is native to both iOS and Android development. It's, like, a drag and click in X-code.
>>
>>47982445
It's heard, but can't vouch, that the game actually plays now, though it's still not anything special.

There's too many games I'm actually interested in playing right now to bother trying to figure out how it's come along.
>>
>>47982445
The core game itself is flawed. Making a turn based tactics game that can't decide whether it wants to be a free roaming or gridbased is fucking stupid. No amount of patching will make the game even remotely good.

>>47982436

Realistically, the annoyance is that cross-platform development for phones/tablets still kinda sucks, and for the most part at best you have your core logic somewhat portable and then rewrite a bunch of your UI to fit in the iOS or Android environment.

This probably contributes to why they're using Unity, because you can use it to develop one app for both platforms.

But for all the problems with it (and with the "oh, we *can* make the iOS install smaller", it's obvious they don't really know Unity all that well), it should be fucking obvious it's a terrible decision, especially because the core function of the app -- just fucking displaying cards -- is something that's going to be pretty easy to write in a relatively cross-platform way (at the least, they way they're doing it -- loading in image and text assets, and then placing them on-screen to generate the proper card), so you have a couple of guys who write the card engine, and then an iOS guy and an Android guy to write the stuff that interacts with those OSes. Instead they seem to have people who aren't really that good with Unity going through the motions.

It's just nothing but amateur-hour horseshit over and over again.

Yeah, but what about in a piece of shit Unity app? XD
(I failed copy and paste class three times!)

There's a general theme of "Tinkerhouse has no fucking idea what they're doing" going around here. I haven't done it in iOS, but it's really easy to do the right way in Android, too.

But, hell, it begs the next question -- why aren't there rules available in html so you don't *have* to use a clunkier (compared to a browser) PDF viewer to actually read the rules?

The whole digital side of things is horeshit from top to bottom.

>I'd consider taking up buckshot taste-testing as a career

Solid gold Anon, I fucking kek'd heartily.

I work in healthcare software and yes, the launch/testing of War Room has been a utter disaster since day/version 1.

Shick is head of business development and worked directly with Tinkerhouse. And I say 'work' loosely here because when the fucking DEVELOPER of a software company makes a post on the official forums of PP stating (paraphrasing here): "Sorry but software has bugs, oh and PP is in charge of content (The XML tables I presume?) so they're working their asses off on fixing stuff".....it's fucking cringe worthy.

Pick a faction and assign a guy to it. Tell that guy to lock himself in his office for an entire day and check every unit against a physical card in his fucking hand. This should take less than a morning to note bugs/errors.

Next day, fix errors. Repeat process. Over 3 days/mornings, you should have them fixed. Same with Theme forces....

Just fucking laughable it still launches like this.

My bet is to avoid the issue with how the reference in WR1 was often worded weird, or said the wrong shit.

Like, the PDF reference is, in theory, sound because it gives you the exact rules text when players often fucking want the exact rules text, instead of just a reference that was sometimes wrong or left shit out.

I'm all for just a text doc of the rules as well, but I feel like they were trying to dodge a bullet and stepped on a landmine instead.

Hey, the day 1 bugs on WR2 were hilarious, and likely the most fun I've had with the app.

The four armed Gallant, Skorne's new caster having Mord's spell list and feat, their new artillery solo having Mord's spell list, there was some amazing shit in there.

I'm curious if the release got rushed though. Like, MK3 has some hallmarks of a rush job, and I wonder if WR2 got caught in that crossfire.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Tough as a mechanic.

Yep, incompetence is pretty funny :).

It's also been years and they still have issues with font types

R%k = Sorry how do we convert that Irish O again?

This model immediately makes an attack?

Question marks littered everywhere.

Several cards images simply wouldn't appear, even with a reload of data. Which tells me they literally didn't even fucking open those cards before launching.

Just shockingly incompetent.

Based on Mk3, neither is PP.

why is denny2 considered bad, she seems like she has a very powerful spell list, even if her feat is garbage

but then again i play skorne and the worst of cryx still seem like S tier compared to skorne warlocks

Between the Tough nerf and all the d3's and shit going around it seems to me kind of like PP couldn't figure out whether they wanted luck to be a deciding factor to the game beyond attack and damage rolls or not.

I mean, in all fairness, the way it looks now is that there's anti tough tech to be had, but you do need to bring it. So I think tough will still be a thing, but you won't see a dude tough his way to victory anymore.
