There is RPG system heavily inspired by the comics, with same name (Praedor). I'm afraid that there is only Finnish version of it. The base mechanic is Xd6 where you try to roll under your skill. The amount of dice rolled depends on difficulty. For example, if you had skill 15 in Swords and tried to hit somebody with a sword and aim to the head but the opponent had his back against you, you would take 3 dice as base, add one because you are aiming for specific location and subtract one because you are attacking from behind. Very easy and straight forward and even new players understand the mechanic since difficulty is visualized by giving them more dice to roll. Then there is deep wound value. Doing more damage than opponent has deep wound value causes extra effects depending on the hit location. I.e. deep wound +0 to hand (exactly same damahe as deep wound value) means that you lose onr of your fingers. Hit yo head you may lose your eye, ear or nose. Good enough hit may break your bones, cause bleeding or kill you outright (head, chest). We usually play it as a dungeon delver and most of the times our handsome, muscular Conan-esque characters who may or may not be homos return from short dungeon trips without few of their limbs and facial features, still smiling for making such a fortune and being able to retire. If I GM I force my players to roll for randon flaws (which can be pretty brutal i.e. blindness, dwarfism, substance abuse, lost limbs, partial paralysis and insanity or more social i.e. being a vassal, being horribly scarred, having a dire secret which would make most people your enemies if they knew it and having extreme religious views) so our group is usually a random group of horrible people trying to get rich fast without losing too many fingers/limbs on the journey. I think it is memorable when your one-handed, limping religious fanatic manages to whack his way through a pack of Nameless creatures while shouting that he is God-incarnate.
