Post art of enemy soldiers that arent barbarians or mutants but are proper army troops

They are archers evidently, who cares what they are labeled at in M&B
>>47732015
Master Blaster?
>>47731720
I like mutants though.
>tfw this thread
Any WWI-looking dudes?
>>47732186
>Why don't we have rolling pillboxes for the Army?
Because digging a foxhole doesn't require heavy special equipment, is easier to conceal, can be equipped with the same weapon systems, and can be constructed by one dude with a shovel. Oh, and because we invented Claymore mines.
>>47731720
>arent barbarians or mutants
>starts a thread with a mutant in armour
are you fucking retarded?

Muh worm-handlers!
>>47732349
Cease this tomfoolery at once.
>>47732464
Aren't those the normal Dorok infantry?
Same as the sieging force here.
>>47731878
>Proper soldiers.
>Led by a women.
Quit going off topic.
>>47732514
No. Remember, the wormhandlers are scavengers and grave robbers, who cobble thier arms and armor from the dead and whoever pays them.
Note the incongruous and patchwork appearance of the handlers, how each is unique and looks sewn together from different parts, whereas the Doroks you pictured actually have a standardized uniform that's relatively ubiquitous across their ranks, as befitting a nation of their strength and tech level.
>>47732566
You are probably right, but as the Doroks are still tribesmen in part I'm not 100% convinced.
Across the various pages there is always some mix of styles and we have no hint that they are not always have different colors simply by virtue of being mined from a different wreckage
>>47732666
>Doroks
>Tribesman
Sounds like someone needs to learn how to bow before their glorious God-Emperor
>>47732730
They are still referred to as such, and I don't really see a contradiction.

Venus Wars
>>47732417
awesome, thanks!
I've always wondered where and what Ghibli referenced for their troopers. The ways they move always looked properly professional.

The Japanese take their military stuff very seriously. The Japanese Defense Force is VERY professional, and it's not even a technical military.
>>47731991
>Being this historically illiterate
Archers wore fucking anything when they went to battle. Bandits had the same armour and uniformity as them because they were usually deserters who just left the army with all their equipment (usually a knife or bill or some kind of converted tools and their bows for weapons, and their gambesons).
>>47733222
Would you be so kind as to explain why its not a military?
>>47733483
It's written into their constitution. They don't have a military, only a 'self-defense force'
>>47733483
We (America) didn't really allow them to have one, by definition. They were allowed a defense force, something that acted for the protection of Japanese territory. They are NOT allowed to make offensive actions. And because they acted in this portion and this portion alone--especially when paired with Japanese martial pride and pride in all that they do--they became VERY professional.
That particular term of their defeat in the Pacific War recently ended, and I think that they're allowed to be a military now. They just don't have any interest in it. Generations of people in Japan bearing the guilt for the actions of Imperial Japan has militarily neutered the idea of Japanese expansionism in the populace at large. Their JSDF is professional as fuck because they're Japanese, and being professional at whatever they do is simply a part of being Japanese.

>>47733566
A shame. Cultural guilt is a terrible thing.
>>47733566
>Generations of people in Japan bearing the guilt for the actions of Imperial Japan
Nonexistent. Japs really don't give a fuck. Haven't you seen how much Japs and Koreans flame each other on /int/?
>>47733566
>They just don't have any interest in it.
Bullshit. A buddy of mine stationed in Japan informs me that a lot of JSDF guys are extremely excited at the potential to be deployed to foreign soils.

Apparently I stand corrected on that part. So ignore that.

I was thinking more GLA.

Using this for my OW group's custom Imperial Guard regiment. Thank you, based anon.

I don't even know what the fuck he's supposed to be wearing.
Might count as barbarians if they're part of the Dirlewanger Brigade.
>>47734319
meme leather "armor"?
>>47734319
>I don't even know what the fuck he's supposed to be wearing.
What is the problem?
The quilted coif and gambeson?
The leather vest with iron studs/rondels sewn on?
The spangenhelm?

>>47734458
Battle for Wesnoth. It's a free to play turn-based fantasy strategy game. Pretty fun, although very RNG.
>>47734438
The leather vest thing. I don't know, it just looks wierd as fuck to my eyes.
I think I've dumped most of the Humans now, want me to dump the orcs, dwarves, drakes, undead or to just fuck off?
>>47734518
If they qualify as "soldiers," or "warrior," art, go for it. Stick to the spirit of the thread.
>>47731720

Well, the dwarves certainly are quite regular, I believe, so let's go with that.

I'm just going through the campaign portraits and then I'll start spamming orcs instead.

It looks like a coat of plates
>>47732120
>>47734864
The thing this >>47734304 guy has? Alright, if you say so. To me it just looks wierd, that's all.
>>47734319
If you mean >>47734304, then it looks like poorly-made leather or some sort of cloth vest with a series of rondels or other round armor bits sewn or bolted in. Truly, the makeshift armor of a peasant levy.
You'll be happy enough when it protects you from a slash or something because the weapon hits metal and halts, but there's a LOT of soft-spot to exploit. Well and truly the armor of someone who cannot afford better.
>>47734954
Right, I guess that makes sense, thanks.
>>47734319
That appears to be an attempt at a brigandine - metal plates sewn or riveted into a backing garment. Basically the same as your second spearman (heh Wesnoth) but on the inside with weirdo extra-large rivets instead.
Fuck, I haven't slept nearly enough for these fucking captchas.
What's the image limit, btw?
>>47735144
I believe it's 150 on /tg/.
>>47735191
Great, still got a few orcs to dump. Thanks, mate.
>>47731991
>Proper army troops
>Holding his weapon by the magazine
>>47735330
Yeah, that sounds about right. A rifle gets annoyingly cumbersome during long movements, the magazine well makes a convenient fulcrum, and Joe is lazy. Everybody does it.
Right, that's all the orcs, and I'll stop dumping now before the image limit is reached.
>>47733803
>a lot of JSDF guys are extremely excited at the potential to be deployed
A force of trained young volunteers eager to utilize their training? Some fucking insight here.
>>47731720
To be honest that's a terrible weapon to be using in an army formation. Way to take out the eye of the guy behind you.
>>47732197
Carry me closer I want to hit them with my axe.
>>47736862
Well yes that's a lance. Dude is clearly some kind of lizard cavalier.
Cavalier...is that the right word? I dunno. /shrugs
>>47731720
>>47734700
THat picture is of Emilla Plater, of Poland. She rallied a combat unit and fought in several engagement against Russia in 1830.
There's also the Mongol princess Khutulun, who not only advised her father in war, but led armies in the field to numerous victories.
And thats just off the top of my head while I wait for the ambien to kick in. So, /pol/-tard, fuck off back to your hole, and maybe learn some history. Or kill yourself. The latter would probably be best for the rest of humanity.
>all this grim shit
Here have some colourful soldiers
