Guess I'll go back to namefagging then. She is a psychopath, there's no way around it. She's lawful evil, not lawful because she respects laws but has very strong restrictions and rules on herself. She carries around a special ritual dagger that is in no way magical or actually unique other than it's design, but it holds an extremely extremely high value for her, both materialistically, spiritually and sentimentally. She is only allowed to use that knife during assassinations, and since she is a vishkanya she has poisonous blood, so she soaks the ritual dagger in her own blood, with some sort of self-inflicted wound, and then stabs her victim, hopefully either killing them or putting them to sleep with her poison.
Sorry for rambling on a bit too much but I really loved playing her, it's such a shame that campaign and group fell apart because too mixed time zones..

Well, it wasn't my character, but one of my favorite Shadowrun character's was a DMPC named Brick. Huge troll with a lot of obvious cybernetics, and an axe. He was sort of the mascot of the party, and he would regularly steal police cars to provide very loud and fast distractions for us.

Well, there really isn't a reason for Cata to not answer her questions - she was just avoiding it because she didn't want to focus on something so dark with an innocent girl like that. So she'd quickly explain that she lost her arm in a fight and leave it at that. And gently remind her that she's still a good paladin despite it, as much to herself as to Isabel.

Sorry I got the name mixed up...Cata tries not to outwardly feel bad about it, and she really just doesn't want to be looked down on for it or treated as weak. She's a little sad, but she wants to move past it to try and be properly happy again.
Just about anyone else calling her cute in any way would probably get more than a few angry words, but...Mary obviously means well, and that makes it a compliment worth appreciating. Time to ruffle her hair, playfully call her cuter, and tug her close in a friendly one-armed embrace as she distracts her with some story or another.

She was raised by her father with the belief that it is the duty of Nobility to protect those less fortunate and as a result her drive and purpose is very strong.
Her mother died when she was very young so her main mother figure has always been her hand maiden who in contrast to her father is very wary of many of the demi-human and non-human citizens of the city. Because of this she has had very little chance to interact with them up close and tends to regard them with a sense of wonder.

There's not much to tell - I brought the character in through an already-existing campaign, so I hadn't met the party when we were all dragged into an arena sort of tournament.
Cata ended up fighting the party barbarian, and even with an NPC that had helped her the fight was really closely matched, to the point where we were at about the same (low) health. He ended up getting a really powerful critical hit, and the GM decided that Cata didn't get killed, but she lost her arm.
It ended up becoming a character-defining thing, especially as other players and characters expressed doubt on how she'd do without a shieldarm.For some reason it really hurt when one player said OOC that she should just go off into the woods and die so I could make a new character. He toned it down later, but man.She never got a prosthetic, or magicked it back, so I decided to keep it as is.

Well, I know Cata would go into the relationship with really only friendly feelings - I never honestly considered if she was bi or not, since it feels like so many people just go that way anyway since 'lesbins r hawt' and it didn't exactly come up in-game. She'd probably develop some deeper affections, but that would be over time.
And goodness yes, it is cute. I want it badly, Cata would be such a good 'big sister.' She never got along too well with most of her last party, and I feel that's something I missed out on.

Well, the GM admitted he mostly did it because I had just brought the character in that session, and I can't honestly say in most cases I'd enjoy getting a limb removed, even if it was instead of death.
I saw some sense of how it could be a great character-building thing from the moment Cata took 23 damage, but the specifics of it evolved more from the characters bouncing off each other. I'm honestly proud of how it turned out, since it's not a 'abloobloo woe is me I can no longer be a good paladin without an arm' it's 'no I'm going to be the best paladin and I'll prove it to everyone, nothing is going to stop me.' I'm just disappointed she never did get a big break that would make the party respect her.
If anyone here writes - and I thoroughly recommend anyone who thinks they can't to give it a shot - and wants a short prompt:
Write a small encounter between your character and another of your choice meeting in a tavern (or other establishment) , whether they meet as old friends recounting the month's tales to eachother, new allies comparing scars and battle wounds, or simply relaxing in each other's company with a cold pint and warm entertainment.

well, psychologically speaking girls are far more likely to swing both ways at least a little, but i get it. i'm not sure how Mary would react towards romantic advances any way, she is just so new to all this!

Mary has a similar problem, alot of her party members just tease her and use her lack of sexual knowledge to their advantage. Ame (cat girl) was the worst with it, constantly making advances and such. she tries to understand them but the rest of the party just lives in a totally different world than her so its hard for her to get along.

I feel like most people would have exceptions - I can imagine a few guys would be totally straight, but if Captain America came buy they'd at least think twice. And Cata already finds Mary cute and huggable, they just have to get close enough for that relationship to kick up a notch. It might not even initially seem romantic, like in one of those cheesy movie scenes where characters go from playing to just staring into each other's eyes. Still, it'd be funny to have Cata try to explain romance to Mary. "When do the birds and bees come in?"
And it doesn't sound like they don't get along as much as the party enjoys teasing and are a bit above her innocence. Cata got off on the wrong foot with one party member, another didn't have much of a moral compass and kept forcing her to keep him out of trouble, and then the barbarian (humorously OOC, though frustrating IC) didn't recognize her or what he'd done to her because of his low INT, no matter how many times she pointedly gestured at her stump.

I admit, it was partially my fault for making a paladin in a very chaotic neutral party, but I knew I enjoyed paladins and was hoping I could make it work. Mary might actually get along well in that party, since I think they'd take a shine to someone cute.
But I think Cata would get along well with Mary, and Ame probably wouldn't cause her much trouble, though she'd be a bit more protective over Mary's innocence. Even Kyen doesn't sound too bad, though they might knock heads over how he treats Mary. That's all I can guess from brief descriptions. At least you're having fun as things are now, right?

Cata's unique for me in how emotionally outward, yet complex she is. On one hand, she's a brash, tomboyish woman who isn't afraid to get snappy if she feels insulted. On the other hand, she can be a sweet girl, she has her soft spots, and she's nursing an inner pain over losing her arm and how that's affected her faith. So she's both got emotions readily seen on her sleeve, and stuff that she intentionally tries to keep hidden.

of both to be honest. i have never played such an innocent and pure character before so its very fun to see how she developes as a person, but its also fun to see how long this character will resist these urges, and how long it will take before she understands what it is she is doing with her body.

It's generally good to feel a character is developing or growing over the course of the story. That's why I love roleplaying so much - videogames, I can't help but mentally treat it more like the character is me. Any sense of progression is only in material acquisition - better stuff, cooler tools. No matter how much story is put into the game, I can't focus on what my character is thinking or feeling or how they react to things. Writing a story, I have to judge on the story as much as the character, so I don't get much time to appreciate deeper character or how they'd react to different things. With roleplaying, I can look at the character as their own person and try to roleplay, and the story is out of my hands so I get to just enjoy the world.Cata would keep interrupting her so hard. Barging into her room late at night screaming something about midnight slumber parties. Don't waste that purity.

Not sitting alone in her room, but probably while looking at a cute boy or something. And she knows she's not supposed to touch that in a public place - she's naive about sex, but she knows that's a private area. So she feels a little pleasure, waits, but she can't recreate the sensation later.

Feels kind of vague, but she's a half-elf from a noble background, is fairly well educated and intelligent. The whole getting-her-arm-cut-off thing has also made her even more tomboyish and brash than she was before, because now she has something to prove - she doesn't want to be seen as weak or unable to do her job as a paladin. She can be perfectly friendly, she just refuses to ask for help.

Like I said, she refuses to ask for help - even when it would be far easier to get someone to pull her up, she insists on climbing up the rope herself one handed. She tends to retort when she shouldn't retort - one shouldn't insult the person threatening to kill you in your sleep. And obviously, the arm causes problems since she can no longer use a shield, and isn't very good at climbing or swimming anymore.

Role: Face/researcher.
Goals: Recovering his lost academic respect and accreditation. Either by gathering evidence that he was framed and had a smear campaign run against him, or by making the discovery he feels he was close to before being forced to the shadows.
Traits: Academically knowledgeable in the fields of history (magical and mundane), sociology, and anthropology. A Snake shaman and a decent shot with a heavy pistol. Good with most people, he's a well spoken and decently attractive young man who generally tries to get what he wants diplomatically or through subterfuge.
Flaws: Unfortunately, not wanting to solve things violently is generally a problem as a shadowrunner so he often comes into conflict with his party mates about it. He's one track minded about his search for the truth, to the point of screwing whoever he's currently working for about it, and has some pretty crazy theories regarding the whole thing. Doesn't believe in Occam's Razor, for better or worse.
Allies: None, so far, I just played my first session with the character yesterday. At least not beyond the party.
Enemies: The Atlantean Foundation, who he thinks/knows discredited him. We'll see who he pisses off over the course of the campaign.
Other Relations: Knows a small number of random folks across most continents. Usually just people who can transport goods and acquire basic supplies from his time as a field archaeologist. Also has a few academic contacts who owe him actual favors.
Physical Description: A tall, decently built man of about 30, might be just shy of it though. Dark hair and green eyes, with a shade of stubble he tries to remember to shave off. Usually wears a leather jacket over a vest and tie combo. Two matching tattoos on each forearm, a snake curled around a pyramid pointing up on his right arm and a snake coiled around a pyramid pointing down on his left. Usually has some manner of historical artifact on him, currently an ancient scroll.

Well, first let me share a short bio I forgot to post;

First reaper that came for him got spit in the face, next reaper that comes for him is getting three feet of steel.

He's a simple man, with simple goals. But he finds himself in company of more righteous people, namely his brother, and will happily hone his strength on the right people. Absolute sucker for a duel though. He adores his honor and pride as a warrior. He has the title of Undying, but wants Invincible Under The Sun, and has to kill everyone better than him to get it.

He has no subtly (because I don't like wasting time at the table) so he's wracked up a property damage rap sheet too long to recount and has a tendency to beat the shit out of people before asking them questions. I mostly just wanted a nice half-elf backstory, without rape or a dead father or something like that. Mommy and daddy married and love each other very much. It was also kind of fun to try and find motivation without being forced into adventuring, but wanting it on her own.
And in that case, there might be a bit of guilt wit that comment, since I assume by this point Cata would be beginning to doubt her own motives for being protective of mary, esepcially when it also nicely ends with her spending time with Mary. She'd still blush and maybe hide her face, but there'd be a bit of sadness mixed in with that too and she might move a bit farther away or something.
As for the gif, google tells me she's Choi-chan from Tamaoko Market. I don't know much about her beyond a few reaction images, but she was one of my inspirations for Cata's look.

Part of the reason for her protectiveness of Mary would be thoughts of purity, right? If she's slowly developing feelings this whole time, she wouldn't like this idea of hypocrisy in herself - forcing Ame away just to eventually end up doing the same thing herself. And Mary innocently interpreting it as just her being a good-hearted person and not even considering any duplicity or ulterior motive would make her feel guilty.

I think a lot of characters get overlooked, honestly. Most of the waifus aren't really talked about all that often outside of the regular posters who came over here. Sometimes you have to wait for the right combination of characters - one you can bounce your own waifu or husbando off of to make them feel more lively and interesting.
And on a completely different note, why haven't I seen a single monk character yet? They're probably my second favorite class, and you'd think light airy clothing and athleticism would make for a great waifu.

It was pretty fun! It was our Out of the Abyss game. The GM for that is still working on improving his style, so it was a big step up from the last one, which is always great to see.
We just got the Gracklstugh and had the stone giant encounter in the bazaar. Our bard and warlock kept getting shit rolls and were running away and just getting shit on in general, so the twins got to look really cool by comparison.
While the guards were trying to hit the thing, Sol sprungboard Hal up, and she Shadow of Colossus'd up the thing's back to tie off a rope on its head. Then while she distracted the thing stabbing it in its eyes, Sol just hauled the thing down to the ground and it knocked itself out with its weight.
We got a real cool crystal for taking him down alive, so that's neat. I like doing fun, non-killing resolutions to combat.

• Role(s): Long range defensive marksman, inventory tracker.
• Goals: Cross through the Direspire mountain range safely with her caravan, delivering much needed supplies to a war ravished countryside. It's an winter-based apocalypse world in a D&D setting (ice dragons awoke after centuries of slumber to lay claim to the world, trying to uncover how this happened), so medicinal herbs and products are scarce.
• Traits: Focused and patient, willing to let the other party members be charging idiots and draw the enemies out for her.
• Flaws: When she does become engaged in close quarters combat (not her comfort zone) she gets overloaded and can sometimes freak out and break down from the fright and terror, and due to a traumatic event in her past (see below).
• Allies: Salas Pritchett, the medical know-how powerhousr. He is key to the countryside's survival and must be protected at all costs.
• Enemies: Her former faction, the "Firesoar Carvers", which she escaped from after being assaulted and sexually abused by the other members. This has led her to be mistrusting of all but her closest friends, and she becomes very uncomfortable or even openly distraught when standing too close to someone (this is what I meant in the "Flaws" line). They pursue her for being a deserter.
• Other Relations: Her father Ark, who is in the destination town, dying of a sickness that the caravan carries the treatment for.

Based on the demographic of this board, I expect mostly dismissive/negative reactions. Nope, it's a solo game just me and the DM. The doctor I'm escorting isn't a combat type, and the two others caravan guards are contract guards that kind of fuck around because this is just a payday for them.
I'm going to talk to the DM aboutreplacing them with Calvin and Sigmund after we hit the next settlement, since after these goons get paid they have no reason to be with me. They're only contracted to see us to the next town, and then I'd have to make the final stretch myself, without help otherwise.

The costume has dual reasons. His sister died in just about the most tragic way possible. One reason is so he can always feel close to her, but it's also a very unhealthy bond he's formed with it. He tries to remain as a happy jester because his most fond memories of his sister are from when he'd make smile. He puts on a real happy-go-lucky act to hide his emotions.

Charlotte isn't all that lewd except when she's wearing her armor, Frankie isn't lewd at all and is in fact a fun and bubbly character that probably won't be treated lewdly at all when she's actually played, and Naeva isn't that lewd. She has some lewd, but she's still not overly slutty.

I've never seen an elf paladin. Though, that might have as much to do with stats as it does with people's preconceptions but still.
Similarly, at least in Shadowrun, you rarely see elves that are riggers or deckers. Even though there's nothing to suggest elves don't like computers or technology in general. The memes that people don't think about are the most insidious I suppose.

It's surprising how easy those preconceptions develop, we've got a character in our Land of the Linnorm Kings campaign that's been assumed to be some wild lustful beast of a woman, but it turns out one of the characters in the party crazy enough to try and bed her was her first.
Pure maidens are supposed to be shy doting waifs, tough sluts are supposed to be brash and open. These are often assumed, but not always correct.

As I understand it, lactating outside of babies is pretty rare. That said, I do know it's possible. (If nothing else than the rare psychological reaction to having a baby in need or imagining one's self as pregnant.) My exposure to this concept is primarily though a really upsetting CSI episode, so grain of salt this. You could always get away with "lol magic?" in rpgs, though.

Ruling never quite sat well with Asteth, despite being groomed from birth for it. The constant intrigue and infighting between his siblings over who the 'rightful' heir was had him always on his toeson his tail?, and while he didn't have the inclination to actually contest the throne, his position as the second of triplets made him a threat regardless. During the inevitable coup, the youngest of the three banished his elders from the realm, thinking it crueller to let them live in veritable prisons than to simply kill them.
Asteth ended up on a semi-frozen island on the edge of his empire's reach, where he survived alone until he met a human woman, who tried to kill him at first, but ended up taking pity on him. Thence she cared for him and, skipping the lewdness inbetween, had a child - though they were split up when they attempted to leave the island on a passing ship.
Asteth apparently found his calling as something of a house-husband on that island, his only real interactions being with his daughter and her mother. As such, he's found his parental instinct to be somewhat of a double-edged sword, especially when he tries to father over the people around him, forgetting racial boundaries and the fact most of his cohorts are older than him. Intensely protective, he'd rather settle arguments with reason than see anyone get hurt.

They're interdimensional imperialists that settled the moon during the Age of Dragons, and conducted a disastrous invasion of the planet that saw them scorched to the far corners of the land, or forced back to the moon.
Nowadays, the Elves live as diaspora in human kingdoms, enjoying comfy positions as treasured partners in both business, marriage and pleasure. To the north, the realms watch desperate war against Elven invaders from the ice caps, although one kingdom is currently ruled by a former commander of the Wild Hunt (more on them in a bit) and boasts a significant half-Elven population.
The greatest concentration of Elves are on the moon, though this is unknown to most people. Blocked from invading the surface by ancient wards, the Elves can only hope to conduct Wild Hunts every New Moon, when the wards are thin enough to allow squads of mounted soldiers to gate down and ravage villages, collecting pillage and slaves before disappearing.

I've decided on a female Sand Elf. Her name is Vadania bint Shava el-Thiavetho and she is a Warlock with the Undying Patron. I've got a base concept and backstory. Will extrapolate when I get it written out.
I'm trying to think if I even have an active elf character. Last one I played was a half-elf named Shae and she had very long blood red hair and bright green eyes. She was from a superhero game, so she actually lived in a modern context and dressed rather jpop-y. Had a similar cheerful personality too.

Gerdrid the Svartalf. She's rather chipper and cheerful despite looking like she hasn't slept or eaten in months, on top of the pale-grey skin, sharpened teeth and 8 inch ears indicative of the Svartalf (of this setting, anyway). Rugged up in cold-weather gear, and uses a thick crossbow.
Name: Criterion Minutiae
Role: Ranged DPS, Social/Utility Magic
Goals: Learn what is best in life, essentially. He thinks he's got it pretty figured now, so he just wants to live quietly with his family and his wife and teach his path.
Traits: Sagely but analytical, he's managed to unintentionally start and now successfully lead an entire religion. A huge knowledge of arcane and academic studies, lived the first 50 years of his life in a giant library and has only learned more. People just seem inclined to take what he says as truth.
Flaws: Which is probably for the best, because he barely understands the concept of lying. Used to be very socially inept, mainly from spending his first 50 years alone in a library, and frequently got the party into bad situations because people thought he was some sort of evil cultist. Has grown a little, but is still as blunt and honest as before, if only a little better at choosing his words.
Allies: His wife, the party paladinmy girlfriend OOC, and whoever else he happens to be travelling withthe other two original players left but I, the DM, and my girlfriend stayed with the same campaign but with new people, the religion that he founded and it's supporters, and Dekarakt/Taj yr Akna, the Great Old One that is his patron, mentor, best friend, and "grandfather" to his children.
Enemies: He's had quite a few over his life. Ranging from a communist revolutionary lich, a cabal of Underdark races that tried to sink a bunch of major cities, and a demon corrupted pontiff turned religious despot.
Other Relations: His three half-half-elf, half human, and half eldritch-being children. His two birth parents, a high elven archmage and a retired bard adventurer, they hadn't spoken since he was born but they get along alright now. The staff at the library where he was raised.
I swear I had some sweet drawfriend deliveries of these characters, but I appear to have lost them.

Re-imagine how Moras here looked while he was not a soul bound to an armor, but rather his smiling mercenary/soldier for hire self. Gruff looking elf with a huge smile.
Or a waifu: which is the guard commander elf I've been posting in the 4 latest threads: a female elf with black curly messy hair, her face in length. A very athletic woman without going body-builder or whatnot. The whole general idea of her character is "A tomboy-ish looking elf, that can look intimidating from behind but very cute and approachable from the front.". She always has her bastard sword and it's scabbard on her waist/belt even if she's off-duty. In the pic, she would be off-duty and be wearing a way too big tank top which she has rolled up above her belly button to breath as she just came back from her early morning run/training. She's also wearing baggy simple/plain pants and just in general look "very unfitting for someone who has the profession of guard commander in the noble district".
It's kinda lame that I posted more about the waifu, but about Moras. I have no strong ideas how he looked before, only that he was a happy soldier of fortune who liked protecting people, and since he was good at it, he decided to make it his profession.

Thick black hair, but he keeps it short or sometimes bald, with no facial hair. Blue eyes, but more often than not they're glowing and full of stars rather than their natural state. So not long after her 100th year she set off on a pilgrimage into the desert in search of Thiavetho, the city that had sunk beneath the sands. She spent over a year wandering the deserts in search of clues and when she had lost her way and thought she might fail in her quest she found it. She was saved by an ancient creature that dwelled within the sunken ruins. After recovering she found this Lich to be the accursed ancestor of legend, trapped within the ruins by her remorse at what she had done for all of the thousand years since. Vadania made a pact with her Ancestor and set out with instructions on how they might resurrect Thiavetho once more.
So just made this backstory up. What do people think?

If you are gunna drop some lewds in there as well i would not mind one of my NPC Lenna. She is fairly playful. she is a member of her tribes high council but still enjoys being playful and child like. she is still very much fascinated with nature and loves exploring. She doesn't like the formalities of the high council and prefers to just be free, but she inherited the position from her father and understand the importance of it, so she forces herself to behave.
She's a magus who signed on with the Pathfinder Society right out of academy, having been formally schooled (and done pretty well at that) despite being a big aggressive idiot with little common sense.
After their first mission (to find a missing contact, then explore the lead she left them) alongside two friends and her childhood crush, they ended up going south, to a bigass lighthouse. At which point got ded'd and swapped into a clone of the Runelord of Lust. Much awkwardness ensued, and continues to ensue, in a bizarro romp through an equally bizarro sin-themed dungeon.
