Good twist is something that enchance the story preceding it. Bad twist devalues it.
When you create a twist amount of sense your story makes must increase. Best case scenario, when confronted by the twist, audience must realized that the story didn't make sense (And they thought it totally did) until now. At very least, amount of sense must remain the same.
