Hey, Jumpchain - if you could only use one Jump's powers and metaphysics for your entire Chain, which one would it be? Serious question - I'm considering doing a one power build, and I've been trying to brainstorm options.
>>
>>47352785
Probably Gurren Lagann. It just seems the most fun for the purpose of being an out of context problem.
>>
Hows Fire Emblem for a jump to d after PMD?
>>
>>47352785
Esper powers from raildex, and raildex metaphysics in general, because I just like it that much. They just have so much versatility and range of application.
>>
>>47352804
Which one, and for what purpose?
>>
>>47352825
>raildex
>one power jump
>surviving raildex without out-of-jump powers
He doesn't want you to kill him, anon!
>>
>>47352845
Regular fire emblem, mostly for the import and the fact that I've no clue how high the power level of the setting it.
>>
>>47352870
>implying raildex is actually dangerous
It's like touhou; if you can resist poking the sleeping bears, they won't bother you.

>>
>>47352870
You could run raildex as a starting jump reliably. It's a high powered setting with high utility powers ad metaphysics where you're not in particular danger unless you go around causing everyone problems, which is why everyone likes it so much for powergaming; it's relatively safe powergaming.
>>
>>47352894
>>47352932
Unless you take the plot device you can just sit back and let captain plot armor resolve all the dangerous shit.
>>
>>47352955
Does index jump have anything like a 'you aren't living your life correctly!' perk? If not, it's a serious missed opportunity.

I dunno, maybe Undertale? It's got an interesting kindof utility magic, can directly effect souls (which is great for fighting ghosts and stuff?), and the science seems able to delve into meta stuff at the upper end, which I always thought was pretty fascinating.

I was a monster, so I wouldn't really get a soul boost or anything, but it's a pretty unique metaphysics.
I think that'd be the thing to go for, something unique.
>>
>>47352932
Huh. The impression I got was that you were standing in the bullseye for a metaphorical flaming mountain. So as long as I'm not dumb enough to take Keikaku Keystone I'll probably be fine? Strongly considering it, thanks.

Any other thoughts? I like >>47352801 as an idea.
>>
>>47352875
There's a nasty war involving magic, but if humans can survive, so can freaky demons disguised as humans.
That said, there are comfier jumps to let your pocket monsters get used to being peoples.
>>
>>47352992
Nope. Gotta pick it up from Nanoha.

Generic Sburb Jump, for the Alchemization and God Tiers, as well as the fact that it could be survived as a first jump pretty easily.
>>
>>47352955

>let captain plot armor resolve all the dangerous shit.

That's actually a valid strategy for a LOT of jumps. Hell, I realized I could Spark in SBURB if you played it well, depending on how much the Homestuck drawback forces you to be the one to deal with LE.
If you can use the canon method, it's not too bad. Just...uh. Don't be in the universe when the first few existence failures occur.
net navi status is a good way of surviving the initial hurdles, to be honest. Use trollian to jump timelines.
>>
Rolled 393 (1d582)

Don't mind me, I'm just rollin' around.
>>
>>47353009
There is someone with plot armor so thick it might as well be a physical force who is protecting academy city, so as long as you keep your nose out of the plot you should be safe.
>>
>>47353099

>Survived as a first jump
You realize that nobody in that comic except like three characters has avoided death at all, right?
It's pretty freakin' Dire.

>>
>>47353099
oh wait, for a regular session?
I'm derp.
...Yeah you can probably swing it if you're really careful about what you try to pull.
>>
>>47353128
And how many of those deaths were caused by Bec Noir, Lord English or related to them in some way, or Quest Bed deaths?
>>
>>47353042
Animu Power Girl looks pretty good, the rest of them are kinda garbage though.
>>
>>47353167
Gamzee and Vriska caused some carnage
As well as Terezi straight up egging John on to his first death
But since their issues were caused by Jack/Bec Noir denying them victory I'll grant you that. It's moot anyways if you're only doing a regular session, it seems kinda hazardous (seeing as even the trolls who had some handicaps in the form of psionics had someone die before even entering the game) but possible with CP purchases

Almost certainly Changeling, great room to improve and fun powers. Others I considered but passed over include EVO (bit overly focused on one thing), Master of Magic (fun for making waves, bit unreliable due to required setup though), Evangelion (Angel form is quite nice and versatile, once more runs into over specialization though), and Blame!, because it has some very good sources of firepower and gives huge amounts of respawns with minimal drawbacks if you're only running Blame!. Changeling trumps them all due to aesthetics and the ability to pick up loads of Contracts over the course of a chain, allowing both versatility and requiring minimal setup. Would be ridiculously painful as a first jump though.

Out of curiosity, how useful is God-Tier compared to the other perks? I just looked and it's impossible for a new Companion to pick up Ectobiologist and God Tier, so you'd either have to be the group's Ectobiologist or have one of them forgo God Tier.

Well god tier express your classpects powers with more power and effectiveness, but you could learn to use them anyway, albeit with a lower cap. But I'm pretty sure you could import a companion as a god tier ectobiologist, unless I'm doing my math wrong. Also, if a session has nobody with the Ectobiologist Perk, someone will just derp their way through it.

Made some good progress on Kamen Rider Neo-Heisei, though I'm worried about including no less than at least 3 shows(albeit heavily on the Kamen Rider W and OOO side of things)
trying to figure out how to balance the companions I'm gonna try to offer is a bitch too, I've had too many lame companion options or ignored them so making something like the Indiana Jones or Resident Evil companions sounds fun for once.
Also, gotta rework the Inqusitive perkline so that it's not all lame and shit.

I would honestly be interested in something like a world god only knows gauntlet, since it couldn't work as anything else.

Alright, rate my JEEYNIUS plan to win the Fate/Extra grail war.

First, I'm gonna use actual regular sneaking skills coupled with VtM:B Obfuscate 5, Presence Concealment EX, Sphere Boundary A+++ and Vitrification A+++ to go all sneaky sneaky like and find whatever dingus I'm supposed to fight and wait until they decide to show off their Servant to everyone (or think they're alone and can talk normally). (There's actually going to be like a hundred people all at once in the school, right? I remember the game having like ten dudes at max even before people started dying.)

Then I'll hit them with Berserk Insanity and run like a motherfucker. If it works, and someone's forced to start fighting them, I'll run back in and put either Voice of Bedlam or Vision of Death on the poor sod. Hopefully someone (other than me) will die before the Moon Cell forces us all to disengage. Then, rinse, and repeat until people stop letting me do it. If the Servant actually ends up fighting their Master, fucking SCORE. But that's too good for someone with E rank Luck.

I am aware that many skills would allow a Servant to shrug off any of these effects, mind you. That's what random rolls are for. (Because fuck thinking up 128 Servants.)

As for the actual fights... well, there's a reason I'm bothering with this. The only companion I've got is a VtM:B ghoul turned Twilight vampire so even if they're much better off than most masters, I still would rather not worry about fighting normally. I don't really have any way of dealing with the power levels, unless I take the lame-o route and say I fought weaker Servants than the canon ones.

>>
>>47353598
Doing a quick wikidelve I'd guess something like massively enhanced senses (including the ability to perceive magic) that have the issue of significantly less ability to process the information provided, aptitude for magic, relatively generic demigod in domain stat boost that can be fueled by both destruction and creation (though they'll each focus on different priorities), healing, elemental bolt chucking, and fun with gaining the ability to cast an inverted version of any spells you know from in jump magic (and an intuition on how to do out of jump ones) at only minor additional cost assuming you've performed the normal version within the last few minutes (or you can cast the inverse first and cast the normal one for cheap within the same timeframe). Think stuff like turning a healing spell into a harm spell. Possibly also some madness stuff, like giving heavy urges for people to act entirely counter to their normal behavior. I admit I mostly just read a few wiki articles so there's probably some bits I'm over or underestimating as to how much of a role they play.

I'm planning on destroying the Warhammer 40K universe and starting over anew. The Imperium jump lets you count other 40K jumps as canon to that timeline, and thanks to Light of Terra I know the location of a device meant to collapse the Warp into the Materium to fuel the creation of a new cosmos. Granted, I expect it to take a long time to understand its mechanisms and gather power for it, but the jump lets you stay there for as long as you want. And since I've got a ton of anti-precog and "enemies underestimate you" perks, none of the major players will know to stop me. Short of a Tyranid Hive-fleet stumbling upon my work by accident, I should be able to pull it off.

Overlord question here. Is La shib Niggurath a necromancy or a summoning spell? it pulls out dark young like a summon but it is fueled by ritual sacrifice and death like a necromancy spell.

I cant afford both summoning and necromancy and I really want to be Mr. Bones the 3rd here.

Repeating a question from yesterday for SMTAnon, but why is there such a enormous difference between a demon's offensive power and their defensive power? Especially looking at their stamina, which at 'normal human levels' for a 1000 cp race seems hilariously disproportionate to their other physical abilities. For being able to easily lift hundreds of thousands of tons, you'd also think that they'd at least have a corresponding durability to blunt force, but that supposedly also isn't the case.
>>
>>47354879
That's just one thing it could do. The purpose of it is to manipulate the energies of the Warp on a grand scale. Orikan wanted to use it to become a god. The C'Tan wanted to use it to seal the Warp away permanently. I plan on using it to travel back to the dawn of time and prevent the 40K universe from existing in the first place.
>>
>>47354906
Who knows. The MC that used it was, to the exclusion of almost everything else, a necromancer, but it might not be a part of any school of magic in particular.

You can swing a mutation table, I think. People who go chaos should know what they're in for.
Granted there's probably tables of FUNCTIONAL mutations but I think it shouldn't be hard to grab such a table or ideas for such a table from splatbooks for warhammer Roleplay.
Definitely looks like an ambitious project, if you get it good
I'd have a go there if even half of that ends up in the final jump.

Considering most Living Saints end up dying or are pretty much dead as a requirement, and you'd be flipping the bird to that? About the same as becoming a Daemon Prince... which is to say, an incredibly big fucking deal. But not everyone wants that and I don't want to force people down a road. Hence the other options.

>>47355014
Oh, I know I'm making a lot of assumptions. But the Warp does mess with time, and I've got billions of years to figure the thing out and improve on it, so I'm confident I'll get it done eventually. I may have to build my own custom Great Work on my own, should the Necron version be unsuitable for my plans. Possibly I'll have to fake time travel by doing the same thing Orikan planned on doing, destroying the universe to get godlike power which I then use to recreate a new one mimicking the original in its earliest state. However it works, I don't really care, I'll find a way eventually.

The Goal of All Life is Death is an ultra specific skill that basically only Momonga has because he has a special secret necromancer class only unlocked at level 95 after max leveling every other necromancer class in the fucking game, and I think you also need to know every single instant death spell in the game, but don't quote me on that. You won't have that ability unless you build almost exactly the same character.
>>
>>47355102
It's the "I'll find a way" part I doubt, on top of my extreme scepticism you can stay long enough without Orikan coming to personally wrest the orb from you or succeeding at his plan anyway and blowing everything up without you.

>>
>>47355136
Its an ability gained by maxing out necromancy and instant death spells while being a skeleton and not multiclassing into more practical spells. So being 100 and a skeleton could be close to the same required build if you spec into necromancy as well.

Actually let me grab the wiki for it.

• The Goal of All Life is Death: This special skill is one of Ainz's most powerful abilities and comes from the Eclipse class, which is one of the hardest classes to get because it requires the overlord class with spells specialized in necromancy and instant death type magics. The Eclipse class lets the user become a true lord of death, a life consuming Eclipse. This spell delays other instant death type spells for 12 seconds, but allows them to ignore any types of resistance - even invalid. Ainz used this spell with '(Widen) Cry of the Banshee', and it killed everything in 200m. The cooldown of this spell is 100 hours duration. It is not possible to resist this spell, with the only counter being that one must use a either an item or skill that would cause them to be revived before the 12 seconds pass.
>>
>>47355160
Uh, anon, Orikan's dead at the point I'm doing this. I'm not doing this in the Light of Terra jump, I'm doing this in the Imperium jump using the The Grim Darkness of the Present drawback to maintain continuity with Light of Terra and the Dark Millenium drawback to stay in the jump for as long as I need to. That means I'm not dealing with either the no-perks of a Deadlight Intact LoT run or the increased difficulty of a Deadlight Broken LoT run. Just me, as a late-game jumper (I'm not expecting this to be easy, I'll gear up first), with as much time as I need to apply all my super-science perks to building a device to end the universe.

>>
>>47355123
Yes, because no Jump has ever given you the option to not be the main focus of the Jump if you don't feel like it. How dare she make the Jump accessible to those who don't like Chaos, which is a substantial part of the thread from what I can tell. Clearly your opinion is all that matters, and a dark curse should be put upon her household for a hundred generations, or until the dark gods from beyond reality have grasped the last screaming soul of her damned kin to turn them into the ink which they will use to write a Jump which fits your exact specifications.
>>
>>47355251
Anon's got a point, it's way too easy to bullshit going "oh but my jumper knows how so don't question it" and we've already got enough personalities that do that.

>If he has enough science perks, you can probably trust him if he says he'll find a way.
>He can't articulate how because he's not able to, but his jumper can, maybe.

>maybe

I don't particularly care what you read into my intent, but I was simply expressing my opinion on the viability of anon's plan-namely, skepticism. Especially given the scarcity of items and abilities capable of destroying and recreating a universe.

But "maybe"and "probably" is not a valid dismissal of points.
>>
>>47355309
...why?
>>
>>47355103
Ah. Well, you might call bull on it as game mechanics (for both this and the durability thing), and I really wouldn't be able to contest that, but the fact that both demons and humans don't really seem to tire. While there's a lot of fighting and lugging around military stuff on the human side, it's still stuff real soldiers could've done. In terms of exertion, I mean, I don't think they could've the actual demon fighting.

What I'm getting at here, is that for demons to have abnormal stamina, then humans would also need that quality in order to maintain internal logic, and that's a much bigger jump than demons not having supernatural endurance in addition to their other abilities.

As for their durability, if there wasn't such a big split, then a M134 Minigun being a worthwhile late-game weapon wouldn't make any sense.
>>

Check the version on the drive, it's there. As for why I want to destroy it, it's mostly because this is my best opportunity to shape a universe. Dark Millenium could let you stay for billions if not trillions of years, it's my best chance to have all the time I'd need to make the universe I want. I could do that without destroying the 40K universe first, but then I'd have all sorts of remnants of that terrible place hanging around my new cosmos. I mean, maybe I don't have to destroy that universe, I suppose I could find some way to use similar tech to seal off a large region of space from the Grim Darkness of the 40th Millenium (the Great Work was originally designed to seal off the Warp, after all), but what if the seals fail? It's just safer this way, and I really don't care enough about the inhabitants of the 40K universe to feel bad for their deaths/never-existing.

•Focus (350cp) -> World is going in slow motion! Great for lining up headshots with Overload Bursts!
•Autocharge (50cp) -> You never know when the next blackout will occur, or when I get lazy and not want to recharge.
>GEAR & SUPPLIES<
•Hardened Cellphone -> So this is Microsoft's new "Conduphone". Runs off of Android, and doesn't overload without having to toggle my powers off. Nice!

Damn. Do you have to whine about this every thread? No matter. Consider this:

He did say "normal human levels" of stamina, yes. RELATIVE to their physical abilities. A fast demon could for eample outpace cars with what amounts to a casual walk for it. And it tires them like a casual walk would. A giant can swing around a train like a less-wellmade whip. And be tired as if it's just using a whip. Throwing around dozens of tons is a breeze to them.

They keep up doing blatantly superhuman shit without getting tired, they just can't keep up their full power more than a fit human could keep up doing their absolute best. Hell, the 1000cp Herald uses the tiniest sliver of their power to make a superhumanly strong Angel, using that tiniest sliver to do superhuman shit would be child's play to keep up for a looooong time.

That's pretty insane super-stamina.

That's never going to work. Even telling people to stop feeding him still draws attention to him.

Nothing anyone can do, short of ignoring his posts entirely, can ever be NOT feeding him, and if everyone ignores him, he gets to claim he "wins" the argument.

The only possible way for us to win this is if he gets banned, which isn't happening.

True but it seems that if you have the other Holmes origin perks then the perk is redundant if you have super speed, unless you want to magnify your thought peed even further in short bursts.

Loyalist, not non-chaos. There's a big difference.
>>
>>47355713
Except I'm not that fuck, you fuck. There's a legitimate issue with being able to just opt out of the core focus of a jump that I have a problem with. If you need to dismiss your opposition outright on the basis of boogiemen, you have no ground to stand on.

White with varying colors of highlights. Sometimes I have them be based off my mood, but I usually keep it at blue or yellow or red. Like, my cloaks will be white, but they'll have colored trims.

No, no it doesn't.

We've won before by ignoring him. But neo-jumpchain refuses to listen to ANYONE telling them what to do.

>>47355767
We know you're trolling at this point, Antired-faggot, shut it.

I'm a fan of black and gold myself, although I'll never shy away from sky blue or red and black.

I don't understand why we even keep Global Rule 3 on the books. Mods don't enforce it, nobody gives a shit about it.
>>
>>47355742
Do obnoxious amounts of yellow and electric blue count?
>>
>>47355767
You do realize that even the so called non chaos jump options will have to deal with chaos right? Its fucking 40k.
>>
>>47355767
You don't have any either, evidenced by how your only argument is how terrible red is.
>>
>>47355767
If you are legitimately not Antired, then >>47355738 and >>47355765. If you are, then please leave forever.
>>
>>47355826
He does that every time. Whenever people know it's him he plays wounded deer and pretends there are multiple people agreeing with him and that it's totally not the shitposter guys (did he forget he started whining about wanting her to leave earlier in this argument?) Nobody ever buys it but like clockwork he tries the same tricks.

Black and silver. Black and blue. Silver and blue. Black and red. Blue and green. Black and pink. Pink and blue.

I'm sorry? Was this supposed to make a point? Was I supposed to see (You)'s? I don't, faggot. Get over yourselves. Not everyone who disagrees with you're stupidity is some fucking boogieman.

Those two are reasons you are retarded. Its funny that you do not realize it.

Black base and red, blue, silver, gold, or white secondary colors, depending on how my mood.

Where's Space Chris Hanson when you need him?
>>
>>47355836
Maybe because he's not the same person and it's just you jumping at goddamn shadows like a retard?
>He always claims to not be only one person and multiple people share his positions, so I know that whenever he says as much, he's lying, and that there's definitely only one person who disagrees with me.
The fact that you're going to take this as evidence shows you're as cancerous as Bancho.
>>
>>47355742
Lots and lots of black and silver. Combined with white and green highlights, and actual lights. GREEN FIRE!

What are good perks for building a criminal empire? Besides those from Sherlock.

Mainly Pelgin with Cosmogone specks, with the occasional touch of Viric Circles , Violant Sigils and Apocyan trim, and on rare occasions Irrigo embroidered patterns and melted Gant Candle wax design.

Godfather from the Mob, Villain Perks from Worm, and The Empire Business
from Breaking Bad.
>>
>>47355950
Breaking Bad has some very good ones for that.
>>
>>47355909
I've already dismissed this argument outright, I'm not going to repeat myself. You're wrong, Loyalists are still outside the purview of what should be acceptable for a chaos focused jump.
>>
>>47355950
Look at mob and Anarchy Reigns.
>>
>>47355950
Well, we have Breaking Bad now.
Looks like Kamen Rider's Drop-in line will help.
