What are non-traditional/not big compnai3es you buy models from? How did you hear of them? I remember when I first found out about Mantic from /tg/ and I was so hype to learn they came out with rules for their minis. What companies do you enjoy and why?

Sword and Board games are a newish company that make a Mordheim-like game and have pretty good looking minis.

They ran a kickstarter. Their game is pretty cool. It's like Mordheim but with less random stuff.

Not the best definition to go on, but I think we can leave out GW, PP, Corvus Belli (makers of Infinity), Reaper, and maybe Wyrd (Malifaux) and Mantic (Kings of War, etc).
I own minis from all of those, but they are the obvious "big" names.
Looking around the collection finds Iron Wind Metals, DP9, Battlefront (who may actually be on the "big" list), SJG, and a raft of 15mm companies. Its a long list by now.
I buy some figures from Cadwallon miniatures. Along with recasts of confrontation figures they come out with new figures and rules for them.
Also North Stars plastics are good shit. I got a pack of their Frostgrave soldiers and a pack or their cultists. They make groovy figures for generic fantasy games. I am magnetizing mine.

I would say Battlefront should be up their too considering Flame' popularity. Now that I read your list, I realize that I really don't have figures not made by those companies. It's sad as I have been eyeing a lot of models from Galeforce9 and Avatars of War.
There are tons of companies making models and games out there.

Another big one would be CMON, their miniatures games being Dark Age(which is getting a two player start set this year with plastic models!) and Wrath of Kings(which just had their 2-player starter set drop and I want to grab).
Could also maybe toss in Knight Models who make the Batman, Spiderman and Marvel miniatures games.
