Kickstarter backers should have their rewards, edition.

Firefight: Focused a little more on big battles, but not as big as above (think 1000-1500 pt games of 40k) - Open Beta
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hyc72fvva6e3dmf/Firefight%20V%201.3.pdf?dl=0

Deadzone: Small scale skirmish on boards with lots of terrain (think Infinity, but simpler) - 2nd edition, some preorders up, release in May

So I did a conversion, that, as far as I can tell, is legal under the new rules.

This is a assault enforcer on a monowheel scout bike. He can also count as an Enforcer sergeant or captain on monowheel if i want.

And as far as I can tell, the enforcer does not lose his jetpack rule. So its an enforcer with a jetpack that has 1-5 speed.
>>
Dem moldlines though.

I assume he essentially "gets off" the bike to use his jetpack. Then he recalls the bike when he next reaches the ground.

So is this essentially AoS but a lot less stupid?
>>
Everything's less stupid than Age of Sigmar.

Warpath is a mass combat Sci-Fi game (so not much like AoS)

Deadzone is a Sci-Fi skirmish system with in depth Necromunda style campaign system.

Yeah moldlines suck with restic. It's such a pain in the ass that I wend and did a cursory scraping and that's about it. Scraping moldlines on restic just fucks up the model even more.

>>47200842
>>47200952
Please guys, no AoS battles here.
>>
>>47201324
Try a brass brush after scraping restic, polishes it right up.
>>
>shit missing from DZ1 due to lack of shit on their end
>package promises more shit and throws spare weird shit at me
>ok
>a couple of things were also missing
>point this out through their automated system
>dz2 box arrives
>no mention of missing shit from dz1, either the stuff they realized, or didn't

Anybody know anything about how Mantic handles this?
>>
>>47202651
Fill in the new missing item form I think, they've got a new guy on it the last month or so who seems shit hot and has reportedly been solving some long term issues like yours.

Could try emailing

[email protected]

Who I think is the chap in question.

Only ever had one problem from a Mantic Kickstarter (missing bases from Deadzone 1 2nd shipment), filled in missing item form and got them in 10 days.

what the hell is a brass brush?
>>
>>47203582
Well...

It's a brush...

Made from brass.

They're used for metal polishing, chrome and the like. So car/bicycle repair places are the sort of place you'll find them.
>>
So, is the fluff of Deadzone good?
>>
>>47205603
Decide for yourself:

Only a couple of dossiers up so far, but making plenty of fluff freely available seems a smart strategy.

I like it. It's an advanced future where humanity is colonizing the galaxy, and subjugating alien races. Everything is corporate controlled, so theres a decent amount of cyberpunk in there. All citizens see humanity at its apex and the corporations are ushering them into an era of peace and equality, but the corporations are actually hiding the truth of the dangers out there, the rebellions of those just wanting freedom and equality for the alien races, and things like the plague and the veermyn.

The enforcers are the corporations elite special forces under direct control of the council of the 7, which are the heads of it all.

The forge fathers are an alien race that has been able to fight hard enough to keep out of corporate subjugation. A war for that would be too costly for both sides. So now they just trade, which actually works out best for the both of them. The most advanced armour and weapons in the galaxy, and they play and act just like how you think dwarves in space would act.

Veermyn are rat creatures who have an intelligence and mysterious goals. Lead by brood mothers they swarm their enemies and use corrosive deadly toxic weaponry.

The plague is an ancient scourge that were once contained by the asterians in ancient times, but due to corporate medling the plague is let loose on the galaxy once again, much to asterian chagrin. It is started by these alien artefacts that are peppered throughout the galaxy. When an artefact is encountered, people who touch it can become huge hulking violent stage 1's which are the leaders of the armies. Those they infect can become stage 2s, which are also big and violent berzerkers. Those they infect can become stage 3s, which vary in a lot of styles, but retain their intelligence and skill, so they operate weapons and fly ships. Some just turn into zombies. The goal of the plague seems only to be spread the plague.

Marauder are a force of mercenaries. Tactical and cunning, as well as brutally efficient. Different from 40k orks, these guys are actually smart and are often underestimated as being big dumb brutes. They were uplifted by the corporation to be their elite military arm, but they fought for independence, and this rebellion brought out the enforcers program they have today.

The Asterians are an ancient alien race with the most advanced robotics and stealth technology. They keep to themselves and believe in a yin-yang sort of philosophy. The see the corporation as rampaging children that unleashed one of the greatest horrors the galaxy has ever known, and are now working to try containing it, because they don't trust humans.

The rebs are the rebel alliance, although not as united as in star wars. They all have one thing in common, as it is hating and fighting against the corporations, but each have their own goals, some for fighting for justice, equality and other noble endeavors, and others can be just as despicable. The corporation likes to brand these guys as terrorists, and they are fighting an uphill battle. Their army is more like a toolbox than anything.

As for the exact setting of deadzone: Deadzones are planets with quarantine protocols declared on them by the corproation often due to a plague or veermyn infestation. The corporation erases the world from the galactic nav and all documentation about it disappears, like it never existed, then the enforcers are sent in to make sure nobody leaves or gets on the planet and contain whatever is going on there.

Forge fathers are there to stake a claim on it, because the corporation cant lay claim to it if they deny its existence.

The marauders are usually there under errand of some corporation trying to get assets back or just to strike it rich over what's left behind.

The asterians are there to contain whatever is going on because humans cant be trusted to do it properly.

And the rebs goal varies, either to rescue the inhabitants or get some dirt on the corporation to help with the cause.
>>
Fuck, anyone else think Veer-myn are over-priced in DZ?
>>
>>47208333
I can see them being a little overpriced. The specialist models seem a little high, but the crawlers and stalkers seem properly priced. The leaders really arent bad.

I think the forge fathers are terribly overpriced though.

The lack of armor on the Progenitor hurts, as well as on the big models. The fact that Nightmares don't start with any equipment hurts, and the Malignus having a Chem Thrower automatically means that's 4 pts. you are wasting when you buy any other weapon for it. The Brood Mother is surprisingly durable with its special.

And yeah, the Forge Fathers also have pricing issues.

So how well do the Rebs do? Their soldiers seem to be a bit underpowered compared to the other factions.
>>
>>47211237
Rebs are much stronger than last edition, that's for sure. There is a distinct advantage with having a lot of dudes on the table and they can spam dudes. One thing that was killing the rebs in the last edition was some of their missions were not very attainable, but in this edition everyone is rolling on the same missions table. They are a toolbox of units having something for everything, but not one thing can handle multiple roles well. But again, they are a horde army, kinda, and that provides a good strength.

They have awesome snipers. Plus, Teratons.
