Let's say you have a creature with (1)RGB as its mana cost. It's obviously harder to cast so it's CMC is affected. Instead of 4 CMC it's more like 6CMC (+1 for each colored mana in its cost beyond the first).

I feel like they should go back to the more hand drawn/weird look. Old mana symbols, black backround and little to no CGI.
The art these days looks almost like animesque for lack of a better term. Look at Jace for example. I wish I could put my finger on it but I really like the old art with a few minor tweaks like not having the shitty odd colored backrounds/boarders and stuff or Heaven forbid, white.
Anyways, I'm babbling but I would seriously be down for starting some kind of a petition to get WotC on board. I don't know if they're pandering to asians or what but by and large I think people would love going retro.
