Rolled 9 (1d20)
/tg/, let's play a game. My next campaign will be set in Sigil-like hub town, populated with various races and species. However, which EXACTLY races would be there would depend on you, /tg/, and on a chance.
So, how does it work? It's simple. Name a race and roll d20. If the result is over 15, the race will be in the setting. If it's less than 5, it's not in the setting. On 20, the race will be one of dominant races in the setting. On nat1, however, the race will be confirmed extinct, existing only in old legends.
Multiple people (or a single very determined determined samefag, i don't care, just don't be too much of a faggot) can vote for a single race, but only the first result with outcome will matter.
Weirdness doesn't matter, if you want to showcase your original donutsteel race, you're more than welcome.
I'll start with "generic" races to get them out

I actually originally wanted to make crit 19-20 and critfail on 1-2, but that now would mean my world will have dominant Kender and extinct Dwarves.
...which, i guess, could make sense if you made them natural enemies and then made one civilization die out because of some unrelated reason.
I'll think about that.And kender-dominated world means target-rich environment.

OP here, for a recap.I'll be treating 2 and 19 as sort of "soft" critfail and crit
>The definite winners
-Aaracokra (Glorious bird Murica)
-Silicons (Ascended Humans)
-Bangaa
>The Almosts
-Kender (Evil thieving commies)
-Moogles
-Yuan-Ti
-Humans (The ones who didn't want to become beep boops)
>Smaller, but significant
-Viera
-Ogres
>Disappeared, but there are signs that they are not yet extinct
-Dwarves (Mysteriously disappeared one day, their disappearance led to the rise of Kender)
-Sentient rocks (Companions to Dwarves, disappeared alongside them)
-Gibberlings
-Gnolls
>Completely and irrevocably dead, RIP sweet prince
-Greys (destroyed by humans ascended into Silicons, left behind heavily guarded structures full of strange technology)
-Kitsune
-Feyline (Completely crushed by some other force, remnants degraded into gibberlings?)
-Sentient skeletons (lost technology, new technology was deemed more effective anyway)

I am seconding, not only for them also let's make not-japanese a language of Silicon creatures. Common language and by extension simpler cultural exchange would make Bangaa not so eager to join Aarakocra in coalition, and triumvirate in my opinion is a little more stable.

>>47132079
Dragoons, like in Legend of Dragoon, was my intention.
>>47132017
I think that's too much. I would rather have some elements ala advent rising, both primal silicon creatures and bangaa being created in the same ancient culture.
Rolled 8 (1d20)
Corgi-folk
>>47132180
and by advent rising elements mean some divine reverence to ancient humans, but with no special respect for current humanity.
Rolled 18 (1d20)
So let's add something more from Blame!
The Dry Men -While it is unclear whether they are truly human or a benevolent offshoot of Silicon Life, the Dry Men exist as an aboriginal race and nomadic race. Their name stems from the long cracks in their skin. They are often persecuted by organ harvesters, who trade them in for their low transplant rejection rate. These tribes communicate using telepathy, also seem to use teleportation. While using simple weapons the dry men seem to be quite strongly build physically.
>Setting is a gonzo fantasy planet (or maybe planets if there are eleportation devices) in increasingly more sci-fi universe
I like it.

To counterbalance the faggotry of the Kender, the fairies should be a group of highly exploitive venture capitalists who use their charm and good looks, and inherent cuteness (much like the Kender themselves) in order to open up new vectors of trade. They have an obsession towards fashion and their #1 export is idols. Their seldom-seen men are all leprechauns, who run at least one major bank.
Their pastimes include hating communies, rubbing in the face of said commies their material wealth, and telling all the other races not to trust them. Oh, and creating new styles.
