You know, I totally thought Echidna had some super horrible description, like her husband who had a bunch of dragons heads on his arms.
But apparently the naga/lamia/ophidicentaur thing was a classic description. Though sometimes her snake half was the wrong way around, that is, it "ended" in a snake head, instead of a tail.
