I've always wanted to try running a campaign set in this universe. Anyone ever try it? Which Skips did you use? What system? How'd it turn out?

I've always thought GURPS would be great for it, but I love GURPS in general so I'm probably biased.

I guess FATE wouldn't be too bad, but it's kinda simplistic.

Maybe the Cypher system, since artifacts and the like can be flavored as scp.

You'll have to be careful with it. A bunch of them are either indestructible or world-ending if released.

There's one SCP that's just never ending cake. Every day the cake regenerates, and if it's not eaten the amount of cake doubles. So say you're at eight cakes. Well if eight cakes don't get eaten by the end of the day now you have 16 cakes. If you don't eat the 16 cakes you get 32.

Enough days of not being a fucking fat slob and soon the whole earth is smothered in cake.

Think up consiquences for if you players try to destroy SCPs for no reason

There's this one SCP that was just a rocking chair that would teleport to people that felt tired and wanted to sit down. Well one fuckball decided to send it through a wood chipper, and now the mulch teleports itself into peoples lungs whenever it gets spooked

Delta Green. Literally just Delta Green. Swap out Groups of Interest to taste.

I feel like you could actually run lot of different styles of campaign in the SCPverse just by changing out the GoI.

I could see a comedy campaign doing pretty well with the main antagonists being Are We Cool Yet?

This universe is a good idea.

Maybe you could use the gumshoe system (The Esoterrorists is your best choice). It only needs 1D6 and you could make an character sheet in about 5 minutes or less.

It's a system made specifically for investigation/horror games. used on Trail of Cthulhu though, BUT, if you're not a fan of roleplaying instead of throwing dices 10 times per second don't even try this system

In Japan, they just released a sourcebook for the horror rpg Insane, "Insane SCP", where you play as a member of the Foundation:

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a fork scooping up the last chunk of cake — forever.

Nemesis, the ORE horror system is pretty good and would handle the breadth of scale without being to mechanically clunky.

I used a modified version of Mage: the Ascension for an SCP-based game. The Foundation was portrayed as a sub-divison of the Technocracy.

It worked out surprisingly well. I mostly used my own skips, though.

Campaign Idea: Players are a Mobile Task Force, must contain a Keter classs SCP before it destroys everyone in a town.

I think the important thing is to make sure that it isn't the players against an SCP (because then they're fucked) but the players trying to prevent an SCP from doing something. The SCP should be the plot device, not the enemy.
