So what are you current impressions ? I think it's cool that you get so many weapon options (didn't expect the Mace of Absolution in a vidya) but I'm worried about the enemy variety: genestealers, hybrids and one boss ? I hope they add Orks as well.
>>
>>46979199
The game isn't even out and you're already complaining about the enemy variety?

That said, dropping out of Uni and getting a jerb to buy a new PC for this.
>>
>>46979226
Complaining would be if I said it's shit because there's not enough enemies. I'm worried that they didn't show many and the table top Space Hulk isn't know for it's enemy variety, hence I hope they will add more.

How is enemy variety something to be worried about? I mean, you obviuosly approach the game because of genestealers coming out of the walls in droves. This is literally like complaining about aliens being in a game where you play as a colonial marine.

It's one of the worst 40k book series written. Thorpe doesn't even know how Dark Angels work, writes dogshit plots similar to M. Knight Shyamalan. The third book in particular was a steaming pile of bullshit with Cypher being made out as a full marry sue and Thorpe pointlessly inserting WHAT A TWEEEEESTS in for the sake of just shitting up the plot.

Plus then there's all the shit he completely fucked up, like Ravenwing deploying onto a space station, Ravenwing abandoning all their bikes and landspeeders, Ravenwing having their Librarian trying to scan a god damn daemon world for through the warp, Deathwing teleporting through the warp to land on the daemon world, INVADING A DAEMON WORLD, and then more or less every single god damn thing from the third book.

Thorpe not only needs to stop writing dark angels, but stop writing entirely. His prose is utter shit and he seems to either not care about other people's work or outright fucking ignore it, or even shit on somebody else's work because he's completely yandere for the First Legion. Even his non-DA shit isn't much better. Old man needs to fucking retire. Forcibly if need be.

>INVADING A DAEMON WORLD, and then more or less every single god damn thing from the third book.

Que?

Crusade of Fire features rules for invading daemon worlds, and so does the "Path to Glory" 40K mini-game.

Eldar, Necrons, admech, other traitors, and even the space marines of the abyssal crusade have invaded daemon worlds in the fluff. So why are you against it?

Are you racist?

There is a few issues with that. Gav is the loremaster of the Eldar and Elves(now Aelves). GW is quick to consult him whenever they need to mess around with long eared lore. That means they still need him around.

>>
>>46987401
You need to realise something fundamental about centurions.

They make no sense and are shoehorned in to make kids buy the next bigger badder model as such even by gw standards the fluff makes no sense, there role is illogical and the models are fucking stupid.

You know what Terminator armour is also called? Tactical Dreadnought Armour.

Terminator armour is about one man heavy armour worn as the next stage between standard armour and having to call in Armoured support, weather that's a dreadnought or a tank. Or armour to.be worn in heavy assaults.

Centurions are basically just a stupid idea probably inspired by the big armour in Iron Man and a hack writer who hasn't had a decent idea since his balls dropped and pushed out by a company who cannot into maintaining a level of verisimilitude in its creation, relying on its fans mindless purchasing to buy whatever retarded concept it comes up with.

40k may always have been stupid but it was at least stupid in a consistent way. Models like the centurion merely prove it's run buy idiots who grew up solely on a diet of 40k rather than a wide variety of scifi and real life inspiration.

Its like they are really trying to make a game about space marine terminators while ignoring what terminators are.

Terminators are essentially are armoured and portable weapons platforms designed to accommodate a specific variety of weapons that can be attached to them.
No one would spend time, effort, and resources to make a weapons platform that didn't stabilize the weapons it was designed for.

I really don't think they are conveniently forgetting why terminators can one hand heavy weapons.
It is more likely for game balance, but that is just a way of copping out.
They might as well say:
>Well we wanted to make a game about terminators, but we have no idea how to accommodate terminators into our pre-existing idea of the game, so lets just yell game balance and change terminators however we want!
It's just lazy.
>>

>>
>>46988087
Centurions are used if the Chapter lacks enough Terminators or Dreadnaughts to field them as they please. Plus it doesn't require as much specialized training as those two, is easier to make and the Marine can ditch it once it serves it's purpose or for some reason can't be used anymore.

They are firing heavy weapons one handed in full-auto. People without a terminator armr wouldn't even be able to do that, so I'm expecting a bit of recoil. Even a tank shakes when it fires.
And termies aren't really about long range accuracy. The only weapon that is made for long distance engagments is the Cyclone missile launcher, and it's a saturation weapon.
On a sidenote, a terminator with the missile pods would be fun to have in the game.

But if it really irks you, you'll be able to remove it by changing the values. Focus marketing team did that for the E3 gameplay presentation, and I don't think they're haxxors.
Also, the termie firing his Stormbolter in the trailer has damaged right arm, resulting in a loss of accuracy.

For the "EYE weapons feel but with more recoil" bit, EYE allowed you to use pistols and submachine guns to duel with snipers if you had the right implants. And I don't want to play terminators with aimbot-grade accuracy by default. If it's done well, it will be a survival horror game as much as a FPS, and as such should be messy.

It's like saying that Armored Warfare will have shitty gameplay, tons of bugs, but a deep and meaningful story with interesting choices because it's made by Obsidian. Or that alien isolation will feature massive rts battles because it's made by Creative Assembly.

Daemon worlds aren't worlds full of daemons, you blithering idiot, they're just worlds fully tainted by Chaos where the veil of reality has grown thin.

Even in the Eye, daemons don't get to just pop in and out of the warp willy nilly. It's a lot easier, but that's like saying that it's way easier to climb to the top of Mount Everest than it is to swim to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Daemon worlds are 100% purgeable. If you kill the heretics living on it who do all the daemon summoning, the place is once again mostly safe.

It's technically their third. They made a crappy mod back in the day, in GoldSrc, which was, unsurprisingly, a FPS with terrible RPG mechanics soldered on with no actual thought, questionable UI and generally terrible design. Sounds familiar, doesn't it.

No they aren't, that's just a typical chaos tainted planet. Daemon Worlds are domains ruled by Daemon Princes and slaved entirely to their will. They can reshape the planet with mere thoughts and raise daemonic legions constantly. Invading a Daemon World is pure insanity unless you have a shitload of anti-daemon forces backing you up, including blanks, wards, and blessed ammunition.

Well they said they'd announce more during the upcoming months. It's due to come out in 2016, wouldn't be surprised if it was planned for right before Christmas.

You can have tension with trash mobs, if they fuck you up when you slip up. If L4D is any indication, it's the giant bosses that are the least fun to fight. Crossing my fingers that it'll be fun.

>right before christmas

'Twas the night before Emperor's Eve, when all thro' the Hulk
Not a creature was stirring, no one dared to skulk;
The servitors were hung by the engine with care,
In hopes that the Omnissiah's soon would be there;
The armsmen were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of warp translation danc'd in their heads,
And the Captain in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long journey's nap—
When out on the ship there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the porthole I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters, and threw up the sash.
A moon on the breast of the new fallen storm,
Gave the luster of mid-day to things without form;
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature jetbike, and eight tiny landspeeder,
With a little armored driver, full of anger and zeal,
I knew in a moment it must be Sammael.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and call'd them by name:

"Now! Brothers, now! Dalquiel, now! Pamyel and Mendrion,
"On! Chamuel, on! Camael, on! Domiel and Mitatron;
"To the top of the airlock! To the top of the hold!
"Now dash away! Dash away! And be ever bold!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up to the ship-top the coursers they flew,
With a boarding torpedo—and Sammael too:
And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of magnetic boots.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the airvent came with a bound:
He was dress'd all in armor, from his head to his foot,
And his weapons were all tarnish'd with some creature's blood;
A bundle of toys was flung on his back,
And he look'd like a peddler just opening his pack:
His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples: how merry,
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry;
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the paint of his armor was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face, and a little round belly
That shook when he laugh'd, like a bowl full of jelly:
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laugh'd when I saw him in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And killed all the stealers; then turn'd with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his nose
And giving a nod, he planted a meltabomb.
He sprung to the extraction point, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all teleported, like the down of a thistle:
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—
The Emperor protects, and death to the Fallen.

Asmodai is the one that keeps the naughty fallen list.

True that. Path of the Eldar was fucking horrible. He has only written two good short stories- those two about a renegade space marine chapter, no idea how it even happened- everything else is shit. And I tried so Damn hard to like his DA stuff as I started them for HH... but he is so Damn boring a writer. So predictable. So cliche.

Again, I say. The Vorpal Swords cleansed survival daemon worlds on their own.

Also Tuska the Daemon Killa destroyed scores of them before being killed at a Khornate one.

Stop with the Chaoswank.

Motherfucker I'm impressed.

Why was it horrible? I thought it was a really good view from the Eldar's eyes for once.

Likewise, someone cap that for later this year.

>Lann led the survivors out of the Eye in early M38, having purged at least 400 worlds.

Cloning in the Imperium, daemonic possession that doesn't instantly turn someone into Chaos Spawn, the Tau being villains.

Dark Angels were very English. Like Robin hood english

>the Tau being villains
What's wrong with that?
>>
>>47008261
Why are those problems?
Besides, it's not cloning, it's in-vitro fecundation. Macharius wasn't a girl.
