What is your favorite mode of space fight? Naval fights in SPEES, submarine fights or something else?

Diaspora's ship combat is pretty sweet. It's all about managing your heat levels. Max out your equipment and you risk cooking your crew.

Naval fights in spess can be fun - even (especially?) if you ramp up the naval aspect
Homeworld-like. Huge ass motherships surrounded by an armada. Like a hive of bees, sometimes they duke it out with other drones or they go straight for the queen.
Then when two motherships are in range it's magnificent.

I love FTL's on board combat
>intruder warning
>vent all unimportant rooms to space
>watch as invaders choke to death or lose half their health before actually fighting
Breech drones can go fuck themselves, though
With significant numbers and logistics. You can't control galaxies with a handful of ships.
I want the space is an ocean meme to die.

me too. so much so that I made like 9 modded ships for the game.

I want "no fun allowed" meme to die
Gigantic ships fighting with drones and missiles without ever actually seeing each other.

Most fun thing in that game was to capture every enemy ship.

Slow paced, highly lethal dogfight-style à la Traveller.

Indeed

>but muh Spelljammer

Battlefleet Gothic. Brutal, stupid tallship combat in space.
>RAMMING SPEED!

i like you, you do not have autism.

You do realise that the ships in BFG are shooting at sensor blips that would require a telescope like the hubble to visually see, right?
Hell, when the minis are in base to base contact and actively boarding each other they are still hundreds to thousands of kilometres apart.
It plays like Broadsides in Space but it's actually harder Sci-Fi then Star Wars or Star Trek.
