depends on what you mean by constructs of stone really. Plenty of now dead cultures buried their dead, and mostly this was royalty who got anything that resembles tombs. Vikings had tombs, indians had tombs, lots of people had tombs, and a large amount of them were built with stone and earth since they were situtated on the ground and beneath.
