Actually the idea of being able to marry again to make his ow alliance with another orc faction, and marry younger at that, was appealing to him. Also that he could keep his daughter to marry an orc instead so she in turn could secure an alliance. She didn't really have a choice in the matter, it was either marry the human noble kid and go with us, or end up being sent back to her family to try to be shoved off on whatever insignificant and probably poorly tribe leader would take her at her age. She would have been unhappy either way but at least with us she wouldn't be mistreated, and afforded respect and keep her position as queen.
