Anyone ever use this and get a miniature from them? Thinking of getting one, but not sure what to expect.

Really, you should only use it if it's for a very specific figure. Like a friend used it for a heavily armored gnome on a wolf mount. But if you need like a human or elf wizard, or pretty much anything, you should just go to reaper minis.
They're pretty expensive, and I heard they were kind of weak, but they've just recently introduced a new "dark plastic" that's supposed to be much stronger.
Yeah, the price is what is keeping me from doing it, especially since it will be one of the first miniatures I am getting.
Is there a place I can get like parts to make my own?
