Tau are the only faction specifically created to market. Of the many reason to be embarrassed by, or hate Tau - this is perhaps the most offensive.
Tau vehicle armor uses mildly adaptive camouflage, though it usually doesn't have true stealth field projectors like the stealth suits. It probably simply has several various camo presets for its theatre, very likely including a "parade dress" configuration based on the individual Sept.
I dunno about the infantry armors, though.

Not sure if that's the specific camo pattern, but a fluff bit in one of the new Tau lore books mentions that there was a specific alien species whom the Tau were fighting that couldn't see a specific, very bright color, so they used it for that particular conflict. It was probably Cyan, now that I think about it.

Green isn't that far from blue, photosynthesis aside, and we have purple and red plants too, so blue alien plants isn't a stretch.

Dazzle camo isn't to hide, it's to make it hard to tell what distance you're at and what your proportions are, and it's mainly used on large ships. So it's not really comparable here.

The colour scheme is Urban camo(usually). Also similar colours(and patterns) are used as camo by a few Naval personnel on vessels.
As for the digital camo pattern it's a camo pattern that's good all around at different ranges rather than the traditional blotch camo being good at specific particular range. The earliest testing of digital or pixel camo was like from the 30's or 40's.
