How would /tg/ go about running a game like pic related?
Well, I'd tell my players that I've secretly placed child porn onto each of their computers and then notified the police that I'd discovered it on their computer.
Then I'd take a drill to their kneecaps, claiming self defense after they discovered my sacrifice in the name of civic duty.
And then I'd mail them bombs in jail. Dirty bombs.
At this point, I would inform anyone who had managed to survive that the only other option I had was to try and run a fucking farming simulator for our next game because some stupid asshole on the internet has no concept of how games work, and they would thank me, even as the radiation poisoning claimed them.

Well, I'd have to abstract the farming to something like a weekly check because the manual labor parts would be boring as hell to play through.
In addition, I think the farming should serve some more interesting goal than getting rich. I'd like to give the PCs some large goal that requires supplies only obtainable through farming. Alternatively, making the PCs members of some town council that collectively runs the whole place should provide enough interesting material that the farming part wouldn't have to be more than a business.

OP I'd focus it on a bit of a frontier thing as well. Make the characters all siblings or relations running a farmstead and have to deal with the bitterness of pioneer life, like crop failure, varmints, harsh weather, lack of medicine and the threat of god damn Indian equivalents in the woods.
