Wait, fuck, we have to word it in the form of a question.
What is Time Spiral?
>>46323444
A miserable little pile of preprints?
Mirrodin or Innistrad.
>>46323423
Can I hear that in the form of a question?
What is Mirrodin?
>>46323465
I'm sorry that you're such a bitter husk of a person.

You're either underage or a foreigner. Either way you're not welcome in The Greatest Country Ever On God's Earthâ„¢.
>>46323465
BUT ENOUGH TALK, HAVE AT YOU!
>>46323402
What is the original set? Not sure Magic should ever have been expanded tabach.
I AM sure they should never have promised to stop printing the Power Nine.
What is Theros?

Mirrodin
That's the set that literally made me quit for 5 fucking years. Retarded power level that was just the fucking epitome of "your old cards are now worthless, k? Buy the new ones"
Ravinca was the set that got be back into the game, so that might get my vote for that reason alone. Dripping with flavor, interesting mechanics, good cards without being OP.
But to me "Golden Age" implies some shit. It would have to be early, like mid 90s.
>>46323549
I can get behind this answer.
>>46328124
Ravnica came put 2 years after mirrodin m8
I quit playing during Ice Ages... Is the answer Ice Ages?
>>46328178
Well then obviously I didn't quit for as long as I thought I did.
>>46323402
Ravinca or Time Spiral.
>>46323402
I really enjoyed lorwyn
Kamigawa - Time Spiral was the golden age of Magic for so many reasons. Great flavor, no mythics, cool cards, cool mechanics. These sets didn't give a single fuck about competitive environments or collectors and still managed to create awesome limited and constructed formats. Pro Tour Honolulu is still one of the greatest examples of a fun and healthy standard environment.

Invasion
What is Ice Age / Alliances / Homelands
>>46329091
C'mon, you're not gonna include Lorwyn in that?
- Crazy, unique cards
- No mythics
- Planeswalkers were just a fun experiment at the time, and even stayed rare
- Awesome, delicious flavor
why the fuck do you have to word the answer as a question in jeopady?
>>46330627
>>46329223
It had a pretty shit standard enviroment, and planeswalkers were the beginning of the end
>>46329223
>>46331085
Yeah really the only reason I didn't include it was because of planeswalkers. And not really because of Lorwyn's planeswalkers (they weren't that bad) but because they created a stupid precedent that Wizards decided to enforce instead of toning it down. Even the first Jace was amazing card advantage.
>>46330627
Because they give you an answer, and don't actually ask a question.
I dont know how to answer your question other than "Thats how the game is played"
>>46330789
What is magical realm?
>>46330736
What is Underage?
>>46323402
What is Lorwyn?
>>46323702
>>46332002
Ravnica -> Lorwyn was the golden era.
Time Spiral obviously included.
>>46332039
Add in Kamigawa and I'll agree with you, Lorwyn-fag here. And I will say, Planeswalkers were a bad precendent to set, but I still love looking back on that set when people were shitting their pants about Cryptic Commands and O-Rings and considering Planeswalkers trash-tier.
>>46332039
This.
>>46332143
>Add in Kamigawa
Conceptually very strong, though a little low in power level. I'll let it in, sure.
Some part of me bets that SoI is gonna be a similar scenario down the line.
>>46329091
THIS
Invasion-Odyssey was also great, though not quite as amazing.
>>46329223
>>46332002
>>46332039
Lorwyn can fuck off. Lorwyn was the start of magic's downward trend. Everything good about TS-Lorwyn came from Time Spiral. As soon as TS was gone Standard become GARBAGE.
>>46332269
But you can't deny Lorwyn was flavourful as fuck
>>46332269
>>46333060
No one can deny Lorwyn was super flavourful (and I hate the new superserious trend of MtG that will never allow us to have something like Lorwyn again. One of the best sets artwork wise, definitely, or at least one of most unique and original). But standard was pure garbage.
>>46333060
>>46333298
I think flavor is pretty subjective. i remember silly stuff like goats, but nothing ever struck me as particularly interesting about Lorwyn's fluff. I feel like the 4 major blocks preceding it all had more interesting fluff and worlds.
