Considering the day I had a question for you all. Let us say that you were to design a BBEG, or at least a hardcore monster boss fight that was based off whatever sin YOU commit most often. What would it look like? What would it do? What system would you use?

If you want to just go with generic sins the 7 great ones are:

1 Lust
2 Gluttony
3 Greed
4 Sloth
5 Wrath
6 Envy
7 Pride

Be specific if you wish. Or post hell art.

Oh geez. Probably Sloth, so it'd just be a team of Snorlax.

Big tank monster in the center of a chamber. Every steps towards it makes gravity feels stronger on the person. The air feels thicker and tiresome to push around as one move, almost like running or moving underwater. The monster barely moves, except to dance away from blows, which it does slowly. Fighting it is a very tiresome endeavour. But regardless of your position in the room, if you stand still for a while the effects lessen and eventually disappear. But moving again will slowly increase them again. Monster represents sloth. Rewards doing nothing, punishes moving. Only ay to destroy the monster is to move close to it and rely on it's on sloth to move further away and attack, stop completely and then, when the buffs go, strike hard and fast until they kick again to a point one can't move. Redo and repeat until it's dead.

Sloth definitely
It'd probably tell the hero that it "forgot" that the fight was supposed to be today and if they could please check in tomorrow, or it might not even show up to the fight at all out of embarrassment/shame at it's own lack of preparation. Moral of the story, don't procrastinate, kids.

Unless you're a demon. Demons can feel free to procrastinate all the time.

Lust. I'm a horny bastard.
Also, stat her(?)

Blood 0
Heart 2
Mind 1
Spirit 1

Mortality -1
Night 1
Power 1
Wild 1

Moves would be a bit tougher... have to give it some thought. Probably expand persuade to get bonuses to seduction and something with bonuses to interacting with other demons.

A massive vaulted chamber, with many passages radiating out from the center on multiple levels, and a distant skylight far overhead. In the center, a giant is shackled to the floor by chains wrapped around its many strong arms. The creature's flesh is pale and ill-formed, like a rough clay sculpture of a man, and from its chest up are buddings and vague impressions of many faces. Elegant insectile wings sprout from its back. Its face is smooth and featureless.

When encountered, it will tear itself free of its bonds, injuring or even ripping off shackled limbs as it desperately struggles free. One leg will remain bound, just preventing it from flying free of the chamber. Its movements are desperate and violent –as the fight progresses, it will ruin its fragile wings and become unable to fly. A wild swing might collapse a pillar, destroying the arm in the process. The adventurer must rely on its own clumsy power to weaken it, in order to confront it and destroy its head. Every time this happens, a new head will emerge.

Eventually, the features of the faces become more definite, and the giant wanes smaller and weaker. Finally the adventurer is confronted with a slouched figure no larger than a man, with only two arms and no wings, and only one very human face. The creature no longer has the energy to move, and simply waits pathetically for the victor to deliver the final blow. The blind violence of the creature has destroyed all passageways except one, which will open for the adventurer when presented with the erstwhile giant's head.

sin = wasting potential/opportunities, leading to desperation and finally powerlessness

Gluttony, easily my most indulged sin.

A tall, very tall emaciated man. Pale, pallid skin, nearly every bone exposed and poking heavily against his skin. He wears threadbare rags that hang loose.

Grasping hands disjoint as food is near, drool pours uncontrollably from its mouth. Nearly blind eyes snap to attention. The thing's mouth opens far too wide, more like a snake than a man. It swallows whatever vaguely food related object it manages to get in grotesque bites.

Even after a large feast, it still searches for food, never becoming full or even temporarily satiating the eternal gnawing hunger that drives it.

I don't think you understand what "BBEG" means. I don't even know why you bothered to use it.

The adventurer is next forced through a narrow tunnel, leading to a dark subterranean maze. In the atrium is a monstrous man, shivering violently and hunched over in pain. He constantly vomits out a sort of hot tar, from which swarm hundreds of small creatures which torment him endlessly. Many mouths open up in his flesh, tearing at him when not devouring the swarming imps or vomiting out the same tar. He is slow and hobbled, but savagely hungry.

The adventurer must avoid this creature as they struggle to escape the pitch black maze. No light will illuminate further than arms length in these corridors. The exit lies locked, before it a chamber with a single shaft of light illuminating a small 2'x2' space in the center. Such light is fatal to the creature, but it will only enter into it if you wait and confront it unwaveringly there. Any other attempts to kill the creature are futile, and will weigh the adventurer down in hot tar and malicious imps, or even end in consumption. Upon the creature's death, the door will unlock.

sin = guilt

Not sure what area this next one would be in. Inside a building, like backstage of a theater, or in a more open landscape with a lot of cover/rugged terrain – either way, there is a known destination that the player is headed toward, and a likely path to it.

The adventurer will be stalked by beings similar to pic related. They will appear to the sides, often uncomfortably close, or will engage themselves in blocking/redirecting the player. Their appearance is often simultaneous to a heavy unseen blow, before/after which they will swarm the adventurer for an attack. They are weak and will flee any direct confrontation. Such attacks increase greatly if the player does not follow their often passively dangerous (i.e traps, risky terrain) detours.

In truth, the adventurer is being hunted and attacked by an invisible being. The creatures attempt to send the player through routes that will slow it down, and will converge to fend off the beast when it catches up and attacks. The more the player antagonizes or does not cooperate with the creatures, the more chances the beast has to attack. Over time, it (and the player) will likely kill off all of the helpers.

When the adventurer reaches their destination, the invisible being will reveal itself, made visible by wearing the skins of the slaughtered creatures stitched over its mass. Its appendages wear some like puppets, and any surviving helpers may be hard to distinguish from the foe, and in fact some of the puppets may pretend to help the player. The beast blocks their destination, and must be killed to continue.

If the adventurer has the means to dispel illusions, they will discover that the creatures are in fact clean, fluffy, brightly colored , &c. (imagine pic related with a more Muppet-like aesthetic) – and see the invisible beast as an amorphous mass, forming barely-humanoid torsos at the end of tendrils to puppet its victims with.

No illusions or psychological trickery to this one. An ethereally beautiful being, surrounding itself with a powerful gravitational anomaly. The closer you move, the greater effort it takes, until movement is actively repulsed near the center. Any effort exhausted will charge the being's next attack – a telekinetic push which will slam the adventurer violently into the ground or a nearby structure. Expect saving throws or the like in order to stay put, even if not attacked. Expect to be plagued by debuffs and limiting effects. Making contact is nearly futile, and more costly to fail the more effort is put into it, but a gentle touch is all it takes to crack the being's porcelain skin.

Their skin will shatter and implode, the wound replaced by a magical black hole. The being will spend the rest of the encounter staggering around with a collapsing star for a head, or otherwise trying not to be entirely consumed. The adventurer will likewise attempt to avoid this fate, now struggling to keep distance from the center in the face of mounting force.

The black hole will not close until it has consumed the adventurer. If they flee, it will only grow out of control and threaten to devour the world with them. They must either try to defeat/contain it and fail, or give in to futility and allow themselves to be pulled in. Either way, they will emerge in the domain of the BBEG.

sin = despair/futility/resignation
