Hey guys ! I want to get into W40K. I was thinking about taking Orks because they look cool. But before that I have a couple of questions and request. As I think lots of you are into W40K, I figured you could help me out.
I know nothing about W40K so help me out here.
Is it really a P2W ? Is it THAT expensive ? How much would it cost to make a decent army ? Paint included ?
Is it really hard to paint them ? I am no Raffaello. My gf is really good at art stuff tho so she might help me out with that.
How does it work to play ? Do you guys play in LGS, carry your army with you in a box ?
Also, as it's expensive I want to be sure about the army I choose so I want to read the codexes. I think I understood there is a codex per faction. Where can I find pdfs of those codexes ?

It is expensive, though it is not P2W per se - depends on the players in yoir area. Despite what naggers say, most ppl play wargames for fun. Same thing gpes with army cost - depends on the country. Though as a noob you should start with either a battleforce or some used stuff from e-bay.
Painting well is tough, paintinf just so to be able to play is not. This one actually is a stupid question. Same as the next one - yes, you do carry your army in a fucking box, how else would you trabsport it?
Codexes are on the torrent sites. Orks are due for an update so wait until then if you want the greenskins.

if youre honestly a beginner and honestly considering orks, prepare to paint a lot. a lot a lot. or just prime them and play like that.
Relatively fun, just don't get mad if you lose. Playing with a big ol green tide is a blast, but other armies may just mow through it. dont get discouraged.
