Sigmar failed to protect the Mortal Realms. Archaon conquered 7 out of the 8 realms.

It'd be hard to find someone willing to put that much risk into the tabletop. Video games, sure. DoW, Blood Bowl and a few others were all at least decently successful, so that I could see. But as far as anything else, be it the tabletop, the (gag) movies or anything else goes, they're wayyyyy too risky to invest in, especially with a bunch of other games gaining real momentum due to actual competent companies.
