Darkness mainly. Most of the tunnels are very long and underwater, and Underwater + Darkness = Confusion. You can't even remember which way is up without visual cues. People run out of tank air before they realize they should have turned back half an hour ago. Many of the tunnels are also very tight, and some people have gotten wedged inside them or hooked gear on rock formations.

This is actually the thing most likely to save you - if you can only enter for 7 minutes, you're probably not going in far enough to get lost disoriented, which is the biggest killer in this situation. It's still possible if you move fast enough though.

Unless you mean in addition to a normal air supply, in which case never mind, hope you wrote a will.

Running Pools of Radiance gave me the bends.

I also once witnessed a PADI-instructor nearly drown someone who was going for the dive master certification during the 'simulated rescue'. For some reason when he slapped the regulator out of her mouth while thrashing around she just couldn't remember to grab the hose and pop it back in so she just sort of struggled around with him till he grabbed it and stuffed it back in her mouth for her. It's hard to laugh hard underwater.

>>
>>46186769
Even in the worst case scenario, rust is a slow reaction.

It may be fast on the scale of rust. It'd be months.

If the Warforged goes in an out, assuming it is't an excessively long cave, there shouldn't be a problem.

The problem with guide lines when cave diving is they can get tangled in your gear. Another issue with cave diving is it shares many of the hazards with spelunking IE narrow choke points. Vortex Springs, where OP's sign is from, has several areas that are only accessible by taking your tanks off and pushing them through a small gap ahead of you or pulling them through after you. I've talked to cave divers who got stuck half way though or had their gear get wedged fast and we're lucky to make it out.

>source on the above info
I'm an under water salvage diver and wreck dive recreationaly. I tried cave diving and fuck that noise.
>>
>>46182242

The characters in my games would. They die to water more than monsters. People have no fucking concept of drowning.

> Ok so, it's night time, you're in full armor, encumbered, have no knowledge of swimming, have never swam before, and you want to hop into the ocean, whose water is near-freezing, and try to find the underwater cave, which you know is 'around here', and you then wish to swim through it until you find air.

Tight spaces, often not enough to turn around to pass back through normally. Utter darkness. Lack of current, so if you kick too hard/at the wrong time and stir up silt you're literally hand in front of your face blind until it settles, which could take an hour assuming you dont panic and stir up more. Utter lack of treasure of any sort.

Dangerous to the point that any and all "rescue" attempts are just them looking for your body. I have a friend who cave dives down here in FL, and we continually remind him of how stupid it is when he tells us about it.

Alright here we go, Its a bit long so bear with me here but its hard for me to retell it.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
Theosophists have guessed at the awesome grandeur of the cosmic cycle wherein our world and human race form transient incidents. They have hinted at strange survivals in terms which would freeze the blood if not masked by a bland optimism. But it is not from them that there came the single glimpse of forbidden aeons which chills me when I think of it and maddens me when I dream of it. That glimpse, like all dread glimpses of truth, flashed out from an accidental piecing together of separated things—in this case an old newspaper item and the notes of a dead professor. I hope that no one else will accomplish this piecing out; certainly, if I live, I shall never knowingly supply a link in so hideous a chain. I think that the professor, too, intended to keep silent regarding the part he knew, and that he would have destroyed his notes had not sudden death seized him.

I believe he is and if underwater slightly necrotic blowjobs are the order of business beyond this point... does this add to the danger or reward?

Necrotic almost sounds erotic,

Underwater caves kick up dust very instantly. One jerk and your entire vision is a dark fog.

You can tell it's not Franken Fran by the distinct lack of quality waifus.
Fish by Junji Ito, the guy who did Spiral and "this is my hole, it was made for me".

I hope you're buoyant and doing a modified frog kick, otherwise you're kicking up so much silt you'll never find your way out.

Good, you have enough wisdom to know not to go in. Doesn't matter how much light you have or how good your perception is, once you kick up silt you've got about 3 inches of visibility and beyond that you're basically trying to see through a wall.

If we're talking most recent character, fuck yeah. Dude's a witch with the waterlung hex. I can literally sleep underwater with no issues whatsoever at all. It's basically any other cave as far as he's concerned.
