man, I really thought I'd start getting responses when I switched to GM.
>>
>>46177293
If you're running a more obscure system just give it time. I once had to two weeks just to get two players.
>>
>>46177293
But which one are you
>>
>>46177345
this one
>>46167770

>>46177321
fair enough. I'll keep at it.
>>
>>46177521
Yeah the reason you're not getting players is because your system of choice is both obscure and bad, AND you're a new GM AND new to the system on top of that.
>>
>>46177670
Even though I personally don't like Apocalypse World, it's fine for the group that wants that style of game. I can't say the same for the other *World games.
>>
>>46177715
They're all fairly bad.

But

>Bad system
>Obscure system
>New GM
>New to the system so he's gonna fuck it up

Basically sealed his own fate as never getting players
>>
>>46177670
>>46177752
What do you think is so bad about it?

I'm pretty sick of bloated simulationist systems at this point, so it seemed like a breath of fresh air to me.

Funny you should mention that, I really love the setting but the book is a damn tome.
>>
>>46178149
Eclipse Phase is basically the #1 transhumanist setting. There's a general up on the boards. All the books are free, right from the developers. Shit's good.

Bump but also discussion:

I've noticed quite a few groups of players (not so much here but more so on roll20) are seeking GMs to run the game they want in the way they want it run. This got me thinking about potentially running games which I would otherwise have no interest in for pay. So the question is, how much/would you pay a good GM to run the game you want to play?

>>
>>46179768
Pretty sure this has come up a few times before.

Honestly I doubt many people would pay for a GM. People are always resistant to paying for things they can get for free, and if you're not passionate about the games you're running then it seems less likely that the games would be worth paying for.

But no reason not to try it, I suppose.
>>
>>46181141

It's explicitly designed to be easily hackable, so yes, there's a shitty homebrew of it for every game imaginable by man. All of them combined have less of a playerbase than fucking 7th Sea, going by roll20.

Why is it so hard to find a text group, not only here but on roll20 too
I figured the autists that make the majority of roleplayers would be less inclined to talk or show themselves on camera
>>

>Why is it so hard to find a text group, not only here but on roll20 too
Because Roll20 isn't text friendly. What game are you looking for?
