Okay, I'll bite.
Eclipse Phase is just so damn... weird. I mean, I really like the writing and the art, the books are all great quality. But the whole setting and tech is so far removed from baseline human experience, I have really hard time to picture what to actually do with the game. What kind of adventures the characters have, where they would go, how to describe things, and so on.
They also crammed all sorts of disparate sci-fi things into one setting. You got super AIs, post-apocalypse, crazy transhumanist shit with mind uploads and sleeves and uplifting, space gates for interstellar travel, aliens, and intra-system politics with some really fucking out-there factions. It's just too weird and too much.
Still kind of like it, though.

The premise of the setting is that that things like mind transference / radical genetic modification / artificial intelligence / advanced cybernetics aren't just feasible, they're downright common. So if you're a spaceman living on some colony, it's entirely feasible to be born an average joe and scrimp and save to afford to reupload your mind into a hermaphroditic dolphin with rocket boosters.
Or you could resleeve into a robot body composed of a million tiny nanobots.
Or even just a body that's genetically identical to yourself except he's just a little taller, a little prettier, he won't get lung cancer at age 40, and when he shits it doesn't stink.
Or you could even just stay your same old self and spend the money on a nice VR vacation.
