It does let you create more mana bonds than a planebound mage. Obnoxious is a good example of that, as when he regained his Spark he mentioned a bunch of his old mana bonds reawakening and giving him more power than he'd had while limited to Zendikar. So in theory a Planeswalker isn't inherently more powerful, but they do have the ability to become more powerful over time than a planebound mage could.
Planeswalkers also seem to be better in general with translation spells.

Right like Urborg and Llanowar have forests/swamps and you can bet that there will be monsters.

Benalia is primarily Bant knights with a sub-group of Boros crusaders. Boring.
And Tolaria is wizard hell.

Not really, what was called Phyrexian in the old block and what is called Phyrexian now share a name and nothing else. They are both cool, but they are 99/9% different concepts on a core level....
Unless you're talking about an Urza Resurrection block somehow bringing back the original Phyrexia, Yawgmoth and all, in which case that could be pretty cool. Yawgmoth vs Eldrazi with puny mortals caught in-between could be fun... could be written terribly... would be written terribly.
