Last we left off, we had, with support from the elves fought off an orcish warhost, unfortunately the victory came at high cost, with half our army dead and many more wounded.

After being slaughtered and abandoned by their leader, the remaining orcs scattered in all directions, fear overcoming them. Our men have captured several fleeing orcs

Whats should be done with them?

Camilla focuses with all her might, breaking the minds of the orcs and reforming them in her image, leaving the orcs utterly loyal, if perhaps slightly less capable, after losing their free will.

Unfortunately an escape attempt breaks her focus, unwittingly shattering the minds of 6 of the orcs, leaving them utterly mad, prompting our men to put them down. The other 4 awaken the following morning, with a distorted memory of their past life and utter loyalty to Camilla

What are their orders?

With the best lumber available, the ship is laid out and put together, a few weeks later leaving the dock. We now have a longboat, capable of quickly traversing both inland waters and the open ocean, their relatively low draft allows them to do a large variety of roles in a large variety of places.

Their hold is capable of carrying either cargo or people, including heavily equipped warriors, and can be affixed with armor and protection for archers.

It takes several weeks to dig the shafts and properly secure them before gems can be mined safely, but in the end a small gem mine is built, producing a small, but steady amount of gems per day, occasionally happening upon a large gem. Gems have some value as commodities as well being an extremely useful enchanting tool, allowing the storage of magic energy

H. I propose that we establish a few holidays for our thrall population. First we structure this holiday as some sort of harvest festival and encourage them to celebrate and fornicate. After the kine celebrate then the members of our vampiric council will descend upon the settlement and feed on a few select mortals. This should encourage the populace to reproduce, and give the council a nice refrain from the strenuous task of maintaining this settlement

In honor of Camilla, and her old master, coinciding with our great victory, a harvest festival is held, with fertility rituals and celebration. After a night of drunken festivities, the members of the vampiric council, let off some stream, feeding off the drunken villagers of their choice

One day a heavily armored ship arrives in our village, taking up almost the entire width of the river, the vessel stops at our dock only to disgorge a half dozen dwarven warriors, followed by some kind of lord or commander.

After a brief negotiation, it is determined that they are neutral and they are allowed to come into our village, even though they must leave most of the arms and armor at home.

The dwarves are interested in trade and hiring our fighting men as mercenaries.

They are interested in Enchanted items, lumber, and food

They are willing to trade metalcrafted goods, raw metal ore, gold, slaves, knowledge

Gems are traded for several scrolls of knowledge, giving us information about the basic elementalist magics, along with demonic magic and necromancy.(this is basic level knowledge).

Our envoy returns telling of a city far to the north, straddling the river and entering into a mountain, a great city of the dwarves.

He tells of great riches and massive buildings. the signs of an advanced and developed people.

They are ruled by a highking, who lords over the kingdom as whole, control divided between several clans.

The dwarves are currently at peace and have a very strong military.

Alright guys, im sorry but im going to have to call it a night unfortunately. I will try to host the game again Friday night around 8 or 9pm and run for a few hours.
