Alright, Island Nagas won.

For as long as your kind can remember, you have lived and spawned on the island you call home. The females of the clan have always been able to use some sort of innate chaos magic, whilst the males of the clan were almost always born with four arms, and grand staures, securing them as the grand warrior class of your clan.

The sclaes of the males are a grand Dark Green, whilst the scales of the females are a beauteous cyan.

We currently have:
>100 Males
>100 Females
>50 Eggs
>Simple huts
>A designated spawning pool, guarded by 20 Males and 15 Females.
>Plentiful amount of fish, no fear of hunger currently.

>>
>>45579417
Savage, superstitious, spiritual, highly territorial, easy to trigger (at least the males, brute force is what they're born for), while the females often see leadership and religious roles. The males value honor and loyalty above life, and the females are pretty much born for politics with their silver tongues. But together they bring a balanced perspective in foreign matters, using words to deceive but also being loyal to a fault with those they strike a pact.

Why you guys have crap rolls again? I feel like just combining both of these, but oh well.

A scouting party is sent to explore the surrounding areas of the island, consisting of 4 males and a female. While exploring they find a den of what appear to be some sort of large felinid creatures, whose pelts are orange and black. They are known as "Tigers" and are quite dangerous. This den is remarkably close to the clan, and more importantly, the spawning pool.

What do they do?
>Try to kill them all, protect the clan.
>Warn the clan, and request additional forces
>Take them on and try to capture the kittens.
>Leave them be.
>Other.

Remember to roll a 1d100.

Tigers won't be able to accompany us to other islands unless we build equipment specifically for them. They're a threat that can't feasibly be dealt with as well as we did the wolves in the Druid thread.

82+18=90. Awesome.

One of the males in the scouting party gets an idea, his idea is to take on the tigers, and capture the kittens. The female believes this to be a reasonable idea, and allows it. The males then rush at the fully grown tigers, while the female takes the kittens with her, whilst keeping an eye on the male whom suggested the idea.

This male, then decides that he would prove his strength to the female, knowing she was keeping her eye on him, and then grapples the largest tiger of the group, and then repeatedly pummels it with two arms, wrestling it with his other two. He recieves a nice, long scar down the side of his face for his troubles. But still, he won!

>Gained:
>Tiger Kittens
>Protected the clan!
>Manly Man Naga!

>>45580180
i think you should just take all 1d100 and use the average of all that voted for the same thing or it's gonna end up being too easy and uninteresting.
or if something gets a good roll we could just not roll any more so we dont risk reducing the average.

>explore more
>>
>>45580240
Fairly large, the clan could live there comfortably without population/space issues for a long time.
>>
>>45580254
Conversely, if there's a bad roll we would be able to just dilute the bad result with more rolls. I would suggest the average of the first 4 rolls for the same thing, assuming four people roll for it.
>>
>>45580254
Meh, I'll just take the first roll.

Example
>Anon 1 rolls a 40 gets backed with a 5
>Anon 2 rolls a 70, gets backed with a 12
>Both Anons rolled for the same idea, Anon 1's roll and back is used.
>>
Rolled 11 (1d20)

>>45580291
That works. Also backing >>45580211.

Also also is the clan on the coast? i feel like that's an important distinction to make.
>>
>>45580278
yeah, this feels like the best solution (or first 3 rolls, depending on how many people we have)

>>45580291
yeah and then a below average roll gets 4 backers and end up being a great success either way just like every time in the thread yesterday and be boring as fuck
>>
>>45580323
Only the first backing counts toward a roll
>>
>>45580316
Aye, we are about a 15 minute's distance from the coast, with the spawning pool slightly inland.

>>45580323
Nah man, only 1 1d20 back per action, but the most supported roll is the one used.
>>
>>45580352
>>45580366
oh, i guess that works ok
>>
>>45579250
Kay. I suggested that because the fact that not all Naga can use magic sets it up some sort of political system were a small group holds most of the power
>>
>>45580433
Now it's split by gender, which oddly enough seems better for our society.
>>
Lets get some simple weapons next since I don't think the tiger are gonna be too friendly to people who stole their children
>>
>>45580497
I thought the adult tigers were dead?
>>
>>45580211
>>45580316
90+11=101. This thread's beginning is like the opposite of the Druid civ's beginning. Maybe tons of low rolls later on?

The scouting party is then ordered to scout more of the area, to the scarred male's enjoyment. They then head to the coast and go around the island, when they notice some sort of other scaled creatures scouting out the beach. The beach that belongs to the Clan. They then approach the scaled creatures whom then introduce themselves as the Aquatics, and are happy to see that they are not alone on the island, and state that they would like to form an alliance and band together to help eachother.
The female of the scouting party ponders on what to do.

What now?
>Accept the offer

>>
>>45580613
The first thing they suggested was to form an alliance. We can spin this the way the Druids merged with the Elves, especially becuase Aquatics are good with Tech, and Nagas are good with Magic. Plus we get a diplo bonus with them, so my roll probably wasn't that bad.
>>
>>45580618
Writing, gimme a sec. Also, Reptilian descent bonus as well.
>>
>>45580557
So, since this roll was for taking them back home with us, and not necessarily to talk diplomacy right now, does this mean we get lost on our way home?
>>
>>45580665
yes but we still should not take them back to our camp the first thing we do... we should be cautious
>>
>>45580714
Well how else would we find them again except by accident? We don't know where they're from, and they would probably be just as cautious of us going to their home. We can take the first step in diplomatic relations, and if it goes far enough south that our home becomes endangered, Naga>Aquatic in combat.
>>
>>45580573
>>45580618
37+9+10=56. It's not bad, but it's not super good

The Female of the scouting party suggests that they come with them to discuss the alliance, however, the Aquatics do not like this, as they feel that it could possibly be a trap. They say that they could meet with them here, and bring their leader, King Redscale, to discuss the alliance, if this was agreeable.

The scouting party accepts these terms, and returns to the Clan to bring a diplomatic party and the leader of the Clan to discuss the alliance.

Who is our leader?
>A grand and beautiful Female, who gained the position from her golden tongue, beauty, and startling control over her magic.
>A Wise and powerful Male, whom although is without magic, is able to lead effectively and just.
>The Manly Man Naga himself! He was the leader the whole time! This explains his extreme strength and bravado in the face of danger, for what kind of leader would he be if he could not go out among his people?

>Choose one and give them a name.

Female has say over most of the clans well being, but all matters pertaining to Military are controlled by the highest military leader.

The Manly Man Naga from the scouting party tells the Aquatics that he is fine with meeting them here, as he is Tino, King of the Nagas, and tells them that he shall wait here and send his scouts back to retrieve his Queen, Alipheese, to discuss the alliance on this neutral ground.

The Aquatics look pleased by this answer, and about an hour later, both King Redscale and Queen Alipheese arrive.

The Alliance is discussed without problem, and an agreement is struck. The Aquatics will use their knowledge and combine it with the Naga's magic to make a worthy and respectable force.

Alright, tools it is then. Also, Mining Guy, I demand you namefag and put it as The Secret Dwarf.

Tino and Alipheese discuss what must be done next in order to further the Naga civilization, and crafting simple tools is a must. The Males set out to start crafting all sorts of useful tools, from farming implements, to mining tools, and set out to work.

What now?
>Begin mining and Farming
>Recieve news from the Aquatics
>Research (Simple Weapons, Advanced tools, Other)
>Write-In

News from the spawning pool! The eggs are hatching!

Roll a 1d50 to determine how many of the hatchlings are female.

We have new mouths to feed.

is the island fully explored? if not do that

if it is, we should get some food production (famring/fishing)

I didn't see you bitching when we got that not!mithril to make a shrine to our goddess.
>>
>>45581938
If that's the case then I retract my roll.
>>
>>45581945
Either way, we'll be doing both. Let the salt be

79+3=81. That's a good roll.

The Males set out to begin farming and clearing areas for farmwork. They expect a large of amount of crops when they are ready to be harvested.

Another group of males begin work constructing a mine, and work hard tunneling into the natural caves among the coast.

Out of the hatchlings 19 Females are born, with the rest being male. The Females are sent to a nursery to be taught and versed in magic, whilst the Males are sent to be trained by a one if the stronger Males among the Clan.

>>45581909
Now that the spawning pool is empty, the ready Females rush to it and begin laying their eggs, the Queen included, and a large clutch there is! 60 eggs are lain within the week.

You now have:
>131 Males, 119 Females, 60 Eggs.

What now?
>Research (Complex tools, Simple weapons, Improved Shelters)

Do we even have any buildings? Like houses or anything?
>>
>>45582145
I'm fairly sure you have to pick one of the research possibilities to roll for.
>>
>>45582178
We have simple huts large enough for about 20-30 Nagas, with the King and Queen having their own private hut that also houses their own hatchlings.
>>
Rolled 12 (1d20)

>>45582178
Backing. Islands tend to get really bad storms. We need a way to get everyone safe other than "go underwater and wait for the storm to pass"
>>
Rolled 30 (1d100)

>Construct lumbercamp
We got mines for metal, farms for food.
Now we need wood.

Surely we'll get a good roll for this!
>>
we need to build more housing to accomodate the new population
>>
>>45582271
I think this can wait a little while. Hierarchy of needs and all that.
>>
>>45582178
>>45582223
40+12=52. Not bad but not good.

The Females express their desire for more reinforced and comfortable shelters. The Males begin work on it right away, lashing together leaves and branches to reinforce the hits, as well as carving out smooth, wooden floors. This takes quite some time, but at least the huts can be called communal houses now.

>Reinforced Shelters, +5 to rolls dealing with bad weather.

What now?
>Continue Mining and Farming
>Research (Simple Weapons, Complex Tools, Other)
>Speak with the Aquatics
>Write-In.

Sorry if it seems like there aren't enough choices, or if the quality seems worse. I'm not feeling as good as earlier.

90+12=102. Fantastic results.

Queen Aliphees and some of the more powerful females begin expiramenting with magic, seeing just what could happen, when all of a sudden, a strange magical mist appears, causing the participating females to feel renuvenated and relaxed! Further testing proves the same results on the males and hatchlings as well.

>Calming Mist spell is developed, heals and relaxes those in the area.
>>
>>45582966
Nice. Continued or are more actions in order?
>>
>>45583009
Meh, pretty much the same actions, I'm just feeling tired right now. Aparently I've got a bad fever is why I'm feeling sick.
